An amused smile alighted on his face as Ary's distress became apparent. He didn't bother to shift away from the blow he knew was coming. "Ow," He chuckled, shaking his head in laughter as her paw glanced off his shoulder. "No worries, Mother, it'd take more than her little cub-sized attacks to do me any harm."
His eyes twinkled merrily as he gazed over at his sister, watching for a reaction. Before he realized it, his mother was beside him and grooming his mane away from his face. His eyes widened. "Ma!" He bleated, taking a step back. "You're messing up my hair." As if to prove a point, he shook his head, and his mane fell back into place.
"Ah, yes," he said with a smile once again. "We would help them, of course. And then convince them to join our cause." At the word 'cause' he took a breath and puffed out his chest dramatically. "Little minions." He added, half musing to himself.
"Do stop scowling, Ary," He nodded sagely. "You'll give yourself wrinkles."

Her scowl deepened for a moment, angry at the teasing, angry at her mother and brother for being so pesky! And then she smoothed her expression and turned away.
"Well, there won't be any babies, so stop imagining things like that. I'm out of here." And with a growl, she scooped up her seer-rock between her teeth and loped off, not intending to come back until night had fallen and this conversation was blurred behind many others.
"Darling, your mane doesn't get messed up when I groom it. It looks adorable!" She sighed. "When did you get so big and independant?"
She startled as Aryiola made off, almost going after her, taking a few steps in her direction. Then, she seemingly decided against it, and turned back to her son. "Does she mean that, do you think?" Her eyes flickered back to watch the fading form of her daughter. "No children? No cubs at all? How sad..."
