She tilted her head up at him confused on why he wouldn't eat it. She continued to push the fruit towards him, though stopped when she was moved closer to him. She didn't know how to react to it or why he did so in the first place. Yet the extra warmth was welcomed. She snuggled as close as she could into the older Kirin, snuggling her face into his side. And within moments the little filly fell asleep.

The fruit ignored, Brajan eventually laid his head on his forelegs, falling into a light sleep. Morning came too soon, the first strains of light teasing his eyes awake. Yawning, he lifted his head, then rose up, shaking his mane. Pausing, he blinked. Did he just feel something fall away? His eyes turned down to the little filly, confusion seizing him in his half-conscious state.

When Brajan got up Cocoa had rolled slightly rolling to her back. Her blue eyes slide open when she rolled, laying on her back. Blowing air through her nostrils she rolled herself over onto her stomach. She was confused of where she was at first and how she rolled but then her tiny brain remembered some of the events that had happened before. She looked around looking for the older Kirin she had meet last night. Spotting him Cocoa shakily pushed herself to her hooves, she was a slight bit more steady on all fours, but still had a few problems, as she slowly made her way back to Brajan's side.

With another broad yawn, the stallion turned and padded back toward the branch. He tore off another piece and tossed it to the filly. "Up with the sun, little one." He took one for himself, swallowing in two bites before shifting to his hind legs. Balancing precariously, he reached for the lower branches, picking off a fresher specimen. Coming forward gently, he tossed her a glance, then dropped the round thing, downing it in another pair of chomps.
"Eat. Then we find your parents. Possibly teach you how to actually hide. His stomach still ached with hunger, but he would have to tend it later. If it came down to running or fighting on a full stomach, he wouldn't be able to manage it... gracefully, at least.

Cocoa grinned up at him, taking a bite of the fruit tossed down to her. Her ears flicked towards him before rotating around listening for other sounds and other things in the forest. At the word 'parents' her ears flicked back forwards toward him. She had a questioning look upon her face. So he didn't know where her parents were, but yet he was nice enough to help her find them. Her tail flicked slightly happy at the fact.

Issuing a pained groan, he looked away. By all things in land and sky....
"You really are something else. Birds. Only birds. The sounds of the river, the wind. Are you still hungry?"
His own tail snapped irritably from one side to the other, belying annoyance. The open fields called to him, and instead, he was going on a hunt for a pair of fuzz-tailed cloud chasers that couldn't keep an eye on a single foal.

She tilted her head to the side still staring at him. Hunger? That was the feeling in the middle when it felt empty right? Was she this 'hungry' thing? It took her a while before she nodded at him, yes, yes she was still hungry. She wondered if there was anything else though that would feed this hunger sensation in her belly. She pushed the small bits of fruit she had left back towards him not wanting it anymore, wanting something else to try. Her tail gave a small flick still staring up at him with her soft blue eyes.

"Picky eater. My, doesn't that figure."
Resigned, he started off through the trees. "Come on then. The least we can do is find water." Already, he could hear the spill of the falls. Even the air changed, cooler, damp. Maybe a pool... keep her from falling in. He cast a fast glance at the foal. She must have been an absolute handful. Still, why had no one come looking? He stepped from the trees onto the stone riverbed.
"Careful now, little one. Don't fall in the water."

Cocoa followed him slowly, nearly tripping twice as she went, once over a falling branch and the other over her own self. Yet both times she was able to catch herself as she tried her hardest not from falling back to the ground below. Her eyes went wide at the riverbed, curious she went to the waters, she put her nose in the water and jumped back at how cold it was. Giggling she went and put her nose in it again, always having to learn the hard way of things. The water tickled her nose causing her to sneeze with landed her back on her stomach. She wiggled her nose the tingly feeling of the sneeze still lingering. It felt weird, amusing, moving to her feet she went to edge of the water again wanting to feel that sensation one more time.

"If you fall in, I might just let the waters take you." Brajan moved forward slowly, hoof clicking on stone. Lowering his muzzle to the water, he took a long pull, the liquid cold in his throat. Face twisting, he lifted his muzzle a few inches and shook the sensation away before moving to take some more.
With a sigh, he looked up finally, scanning the banks for other trees or bushes she might enjoy. Ah-... cattails. Crossing to thick bushes, he reached out and snapped a long reed from its base. The thin leaves tickled his nose, but he refused to sneeze. Too hard for such a weakness. He dropped the odd furry 'stick' at her side with a huff.

She kept her face in the water, getting use to how cold it was. Her tail flicked gently behind her, quickly pulling her head out of the water feeling that sensation of sneezing once again. A grin spread crossed her face as she looked at Brajan. Giggling once more she looked at the thing between his teeth curious about it, and when he dropped it at her side she began to investigate the thing. The fuzzies tickled her nose once again causing her to giggle even more. She then put the thing in her mouth biting off the tip of it. It was odd tasting, that was all she could explain it as.

"Try the brown bit. Here, this." Shifting, he balanced on three hooves, gesturing with the fourth toward the thick furry brown at the end of the stalk.
He resettled, prancing lightly. Starting, his eyes went wide. "The lengths to which I have gone...." Sighing, he hung his head. At least no one had seen. And the little filly couldn't talk to tell. He offered her a mock glare in an attempt to see if she was even paying attention.

She sniffed at the brown bit he had gestured to looking at him confused like. She was suppose to eat that end? But it looked like a creatures tail, she glanced back at her own which seem to stop flicking. It was the same color of hers, what if it was the tail of another creature like them and she was suppose to eat it? She didn't want to hurt the other creature which this tail belonged to. She gave a soft low whinny confused on it all. She glanced up at him sinking a bit low to the ground seeing the look in his eye. Suddenly she grew scared of him squeaking softly slowing backing up.

The stern look faded, replaced by one of a very immediate alarm. The river! She was getting too close to the water's edge.
"Stop! You'll fall!" He lunged forward, trying to grab at her.

His alarming voice caused her to stop her ears flattening back on her head. Giving a soft whinny not sure why she was being yelled at. Quickly as her little unstable legs could carry her she darted back into the forest, dodging his lunge towards her. She gave a small frighten 'squeak' not really understanding the 'whys' of it all.
