Laughing softly to herself Undine stepped out of the river. Standing next to him she grinned. “If you say so,” she paused before adding, “my Lord.” She glanced over to see how he would react to that. She hoped it would help distract him from what had soured his mood earlier. She made a note to stay away from talk of parents for the time being though she was curious about what had caused him to react like that.

Antirr did a double take. Did she just? "My darling pearl I fear I'm losing my hearing, or my mind. Did you just call me Lord?" He smirked. She did, he heard her! He almost smiled but no, not yet. The delicate thing had not earned a smile of him yet. A happy mood, a joke, and a smirk, but no true smile. Not till she proved herself a little more, though he would not tell her. "Would that make you a lady?" he flirted shamelessly.

Tossing her head Undine said, “I have always been a lady, did you not notice the tiara.” She had to turn away or start laughing. Once she had herself under control she turned back to him. “O silly me it seems I forgot it put it on.” Yes she definitely liked this stallion, he’d make a good friend and maybe something more?

"Ah, forgive me, my lady! I'm blind as well it seems!" He gave a mock bow. What a treat this one was. "Now, my pearl, what brings you to this dangerous little river all by yourself?" he asked, looking over her curiously. A pretty thing all alone running into a monster like him? She was lucky she was a good sport, and came across him in such a good mood.

Dangerous? she looked up and down the river confused. She didn’t see anything to make it seem dangerous. “I’m exploring, there’s still so much of this land to see. Especially if it’s a part with water.” She frowned at him. “You don’t think that because I’m female I’m weak do you?”

He laughed. "My dear pearl i have met and fought many a female. I would not call you weak. Weaker then me? perhaps, but not weak." Weaker then the girls he left behind as well, he'd bet. Well, perhaps she was stronger then Taja. "Exploring then? I see, interesting."

Undine shook her head, he might find himself in for a surprise. Having been alone since she was a foal she had to learn to protect herself. If it hadn’t been for the two-legger that had taken her in who knows what she would have become. She decided to keep that fact to herself just incase she needed it later. Nodding she grinned at him. “Its always interesting to see new places and meet new people. What about you? Do you live around here?”

"No but i have family that does" He said. Did he live here? Stupid question. "I don't live anywhere. I come by here to visit my mother from time to time but other then that, i wander a bit. I'm looking for a place to set up a more...permident resident, but for now..." He shrugged. "And you? where do you live?"

So he visits his mother, then earlier must have had to do with his farther, she thought to herself. “Like you I wander a lot but when I get tired of traveling I stay with the two-legger I came to this land with.” Looking back the way she came she smiled softly before looking back at him. “I can’t see staying with a two-legger all the time though, I think I’d go crazy. I'd like to find a place within traveling distance but so far no luck.”

"Yeah, i don't know what my mother sees in it." He knew why she did though. She wouldn't work in the tough land he had delt with. She be dead in a matter of moments. He nodded. "there is plenty of area's around here. Just depends on what you want." He said, shrugging. "I was just about to leave this area. its not one of my...favorites." He sneered. Near his fathers home. He growled mentally. The b*****d. His mood headed south once more, growing darker and darker. "Does your two legger live around here?" If she was looking for a place close to her two legged monster then perhaps they lived close. Ugh, he'd have to leave her then, no matter her beauty. Someone so close to his father...A turn off for sure.

Undine shook her head. “My two-legger lives deep in the forest near the ocean, it’s a good few days travel from here. I was following the river, I’m curious about where it goes.” She looked down sheepishly. “I’m afraid curiosity is one of my faults.”

He looked to her. "The fault of many." he said. Least she wasn't near here. Thank god. "The ocean you say? Never been." No the mountains had been his home recently. The ocean...sounded calm...unless where were any annoying birds or two leggers about. Not so good then. He tiled his head, listening a moment before he shook his head. "The river connects to a lake, then heads up to the mountains. I've never seen its ending point."

“Lake?” she made a face, “I don’t much like lakes. They don’t flow like oceans and rivers do. Its as if they have no life.” She took a few steps forwards as if she could see the dreaded lake. Laughing at herself she turned back to him. “The ocean is wonderful, it’s never still but it’s so peaceful. I could watch the waves for hours.”

He watched her move, laugh. "Peaceful but never still? If i was a foal i'd assume you were the ocean" he said quietly, more to himself then anyone. He then put on an offended face. "And whats this you have against lakes? Ever sit by the lake, where the river enters it? Or beside a waterfall, the river bashes the lake with all its might but still the lake doesn't budge. A show of power like no other. And then the lake, after its fight with the river, sits, and ripples in the breeze or when one of the inferior..." He glanced at the now rotting fish. "creatures is in a battle with a larger one. A lake is a place of power. Like a rock, but alot softer and better when its a hot day and you need to cool off." He said with a nod. As he spoke his mock offense melted away and he was talking in a way he never heard himself speak before. Yes, he had always seen the lake as a water made rock, and the river and lake joining a perpetual struggle that the river could never win. But never in his live had he voiced these words, let alone in the manner he just had. He looked back to her from where his gaze had traveled and watched her. Peaceful. He smiled.

Undine watched him as he spoke. “I’ve never thought of it like that, put that way a lake sounds wonderful.” Cocking her head to the side she regarded the river. “A fight it can never win,” she mused to herself. Turning her attention back to him she blinked in surprise to see a smile on his face. A soft smile crossed her own face. He should smile more often she thought to herself.
