Even as the others went on, Shire became momentarily distracted by his sister's words. Bramblebur would answer her question far more quickly than he, that yes they were coming to a rest soon. The buck sighed gratefully, and turned to nuzzle his cheek along Amita's fair brow, allowing a small chuckle.
"Right. They're starting to get rowdy, is all, due to the strain. Not everyone has your grace." He assured her in the soft aside that was meant for siblings alone, "Pay no mind, I'm here for you. Especially not to that lunatic's prattle. All we need to concentrate on is that next hill, there, and we can rest."
Then, raising his head, Shire piped up. "Say now, less gab, more hopping!" Despite how tired he was, he seemed in good humor. Probably because an end had now been defined. He cocked his ears invitingly to Amita before continuing his pace toward their destination.

Amita smiled gently at the sweet touch her brother bestowed upon her. Even though tired she eagerly returned the gentle nuzzle. There travel had taken them threw bushes, creeks, and mud but her brother still had the softest and sweetest smelling fur. It comforted her raging heart that beat nervously as the days wore on.
A gentle laugh, weak from fatigue, escaped the young lass as her brother sought to keep her strong with his words. "If they had my grace we may not have made it this far." That certainly was a true statement. Although Amita was a peaceful minded girl, little courage rested in her heart. If she was ruling over their little herd of travelers they would have died the first night in. Least that's what the beige female painted in her mind.
"R-Right." Amita whispered her agreement to Shire's words. Oh how she admired him for his bravery and seemingly everlasting confidence. Why had she never acquired just a piece of it?
Her long ears twitched as they picked up Bramblebur's words. The hill....Amita stared up at the dwelling and gulped. Her feet were so heavy she wasn't sure if she could make it all the way. But she had to try! Shire was depending on her to make it through this journey.

The Captain sighed at the continued bickering amongst the group. "That is quite enough, everyone. For the time being, let's focus on getting to a safe place for the night." He sat up on his hind feet and gazed around for any of the thousand before casting his protective gaze over their little band of hlessi. Bramblebur could feel the weight of their weariness and the aching of their muscles, for their pains were his as well. He noted that the doe, Ivy, looked like she had something on her mind. He made a note to make time to as her what she was thinking.
"Ailein, if you would, please lead everyone to the thicket. Swift-claw, would you kindly make sure that no one falls behind. I know everyone is getting tired, but I'm not leaving any behind if I can help it." The striped buck was hoping that being asked to lead everyone to their safe place for the night would give the young owsla some degree of confidence. Swift-claw wasn't known for his kindly manner, but he was hard working. With him at the rear, there would certainly be none lost due to falling behind.
"Shire, Amita, you can do it. You're both keeping up beautifully. Just a little further." He had noticed the siblings start to lag towards the back over course of the day.
