Karume nodded slightly, smiling at him sweetly though she didn't intend for it to seem too obvious. Perhaps they both felt the same about the situation, like it was a bit odd for them both, but they both seemed all the happier to be like that. Was he really the same toward them both being together as she felt? She wasn't sure, but it felt kind of nice for once. Still, the feel of his arm around her waist was not something she was used to and it took a good bit of thought to not react to it in anyway, she didn't want him to think she didn't like him, it just wasn't something she was used to yet. It calmed her a bit to hear him speak though, she'd been hoping for it really, it put her at peace in a way she hadn't been before. She listened to him for a long moment, knowing what he meant by the 'damn captain,' it was kind of obvious. She couldn't keep from lettion out a sigh at mention of the woman though, there was no one she wanted out of the way more than her at that moment. "I'll try to forget she's there. We'll have to get through her to even speak though I'm sure." she muttered before looking down to their hands, his on hers in a way she never would have expected. She didn't mind it much though, it seemed to keep her calm, almost as if she were a child with her mother holding her hand on the first day of school, it put her at ease while her stomach did flips. She hated Soma with all her gut, but if he got a death sentence she'd have no one else to torture, not with Kazei being the traitor, and without a torture buddy she had nothing to waist her time with. At that rate, she'd kill her poor fuku-taicho before the end of the week and that would probably drown her in paperwork if Durissa was dead and unable to do it for her. So yeah, she hated Soma, but she needed him to make it out of that trial for her own sake. "We'll have to get past the bitchy witch eventually..." She reminded Aisu softly, moving closer to him as her eyes quickly scanned the room. She wasn't sure who was watching, but she didn't intend to look unprotected, just in case. She didn't need it, she was a captain for a reason and she could defend that title, but it was a childish habit she'd fallen back on since her death. When friends are seldomly found, she was quick to cling to the ones she got. After a moments notice, though, her attention was turned to Soma's defender from internal investigations. She listened silently as the man explained the situation that had taken place in Karakura town. She knew a large amount of it, and she assumed what was said about Oruga's actions, seeing as she'd arrived to find Soma imobile on the ground, but what was said of her Fuku-taicho truly disturbed her. Had the girl really been so severly injured and not said anything? That concerned her a bit, she could only hope that she could speak with Durissa later, she wanted to understand what happened. Of course her initial reaction was a bit less subtle. Without thinking on it at first, she jumped to her feet, probably startling some others around her. She stared out at the others blankly for a moment, trying to think of what she was doing, before slowly lowering herself back down. In a way that was very unlike her, her face turned a light shade of pink and she quickly turned her head away from the center of the room, somewhat hiding behind Aisu until the man finished providing his evidence. "That wasn't too briliant, huh?" she whispered softly to Aisu, hoping no one else would hear her in her time of embarassement. She hoped to never look like so much of a fool again.

Sitting in their rightful positions the white cloaked chamber council members observed the newly attended witnesses that were to either speak on behalf or against these suspects and victims involved. There were seven of them to be exact. Each of them branded an individual number upon their foreheads. Number I through Number VII. Each of them listened to Rednal very well as the man spoke. Basically what the evidence read was that Captain Soma was trying to protect Lieutenant Jouka from the eyes of Captain Akuma and Lieutenant Durissa by attacking them. Captain Oruga on the other hand the evidence read the Oruga had supposedly attacked Soma because of he was tricked into doing so. "Hm. So the evidence that Captain Soma has attacked a captain and lieutenant is quite clear coming from him as well, along the confirmation that Captain Oruga has attacked a Captain as well. The evidence and their confession confirms this. However there is still no evidence that the two have been tricked against their will." Number IV said taking in the new information that Rednal's report had just presented to him. His voice was that of a deep and firm tone. One that would keep the attention of all unwavering. When the 14th Division Captain arrived, Number V and IV seemed to turn their attention to the young woman. Though Rednal's report had been accurate, a video feed was more accurate and convincing than paperwork and words. The Council wanted the details of everything that happened on that day. "Proceed with the video feed at once. We also wish to see the other attacks reported. The attack on the Quincy woman, the slaying of the humans, and the attack on 4th seat of Division 5."

Listening to the council the zero division captain silently thought to herself as things passed by. Hopefully they would have mercy on these two men. But it seemed things were going in the opposite direction. The things they had done by attacking fellow shinigami and captains alike were almost at the peak of criminal offenses. When Captain Shiori passed by she nodded and exchanged a smile in return at the long haired woman. She was about the only one who carried common sense with her and didn't let emotions get in the way of things when justice had to be carried out besides Rednal. The trial could turn out either way and she was going to see this thing through. Though the one here with the most influence would probably be the commander, Captain Yataruma. Based on his answer should he testify could make a big difference of the trial itself.

Aisu smiled kindly and nodded ever so slightly as his gaze drifted down and met hers. As his icy blue eyes met hers he couldnt help but feel at peace and like everything was right at the moment. This feeling was still foriegn to him as he had not felt it in a very long time and was strict abotu his beliefs and feelings. Nevertheless something inside him would not let him be strict with her and only drove him to do things he never would. Knowing it was outside his character he still could not help tilting her head upwards so she looked into his eyes as that beautiful pink blush tinted her cheeks. Once he did he slowly leaned in and planted a quick kiss upon her lips and pulled away smiling. Placing his hand on her cheek he could not help but smile.
"Yes we shall, however now is not the moment. Also, how about we go get something to eat after this trial?"
He said smiling once again with his hand securely around her waist and his head resting against hers. He truly felt at peace at this moment nevertheless he had to watch the trial. Seeing them give their statements he noticed that his statement would not be needed for the time being.
"They dont need out statement for the time being, so we shall wait untill the video to see if we are needed, alright?"
He said with that same smile as he held her close against him by instinct alone. He simply waited for her response as he held her close, cuddling with her.

Soma stood there and listened to everything. Soma understood what was happening so he didn't speak on anything until it was his time to speak. Unlike most people, Soma just listened and waitied for his turn. It was turn he didn't kill people but, in his eyes he was still guilty for attacking Akuma who was a fellow captain. So in the end Soma was going to be ready to face whatever punishment that they had for him.

Just before things could hit the climax the Sixth Division Captain strolled slowly into the room. Not munch had taken place until the council committee began speaking. Though they were breaking the law by summoning him to this trial, he didn't mind at all. After all his hands were clean and he hadn't officially done anything illegal. With that he passed the Zero Division Captain and Shiori before stepping into the middle of the room along side Oruga and Soma. Glancing around, he noticed many shinigami who no doubt were going to testify on behalf of what took place in Karakura. Without looking at Soma, he simply smiled.
"Sup old buddy. Hehe, I see you got yourself in a fix here. Never thought you'd do such a thing. I mean attacking Shinigami and possibly humans and Quincy? Dang that's messed up man."
He said pulling a lollipop from his mouth before popping it into his mouth. These guys were down right barbarians. He didn't bother defending himself against anything until evidence could point out that he was involved. No point in defending yourself if there weren't any evidence right. Until then he'd just enjoy the show until they reached a final verdict.

Soma shifted his head towards Kazei and didn't say anything to him. Really his head wasn't in the place to tell him anything right now. All Soma wanted to do is trying to get this over with so he could find out his judgement and then see what it is that he has to do. Then again if his judgement was made for him to die he would respect it and move on. If it wasn't it would still be the same. Soma's judgement was that he was worried about right now. Kazei had his coming weither he knew it or not.

Ike arrived with his hands in his pockets then looked at everbody. They must be early here as Ike was so late all the time since He was looking for someone who was set up. I hope Captain Soma and Captain Oruga doing their right. thought to himself and didn't say any word. He was quiet all day without word. Ike stared at Captain Kazei with his hands in his pockets.

[Durissa] Looking over toward Soma she couldn't sit by any longer. Standing to her feet she looked toward the council. "And what of the attacked?" She asked. It seemed everyone was more concerned about the footage, and their opinions and findings. She was one of the attacked Shinigami by Soma, and not once had anyone came to her asking for her statement on the subject. "This investigation is quite faulty..." She continued to explain the lack of interviews, and poor investigation skills. Looking toward the Council she spoke directly to them. "Soma may say that he attacked me, and yes it is true. But that video will not show you what I saw...restraint, and regret." She went further to explain that she witnessed Soma's guilt and frustration when he attacked Akuma, and when he attacked her. She stopped for a moment and waiting either for her scolding from the ignorant council, or her praise from whomever.

Rednal quietly recorded both Kazei and Soma's actions in his ever-expanding sheaf of notes. It was probably to Soma's credit that he wasn't lashing out at the person he felt had betrayed him; it showed that he could remain calm even in difficult situations, which was a quality Rednal rather admired. Most Shinigami who had power tended to go through the power-fixation stage, in which they felt it was important to let everybody know just how strong they were. This stage usually lasted until someone beat them senseless and taught them that they were not, in fact, the greatest being to ever live. After that, they tended to settle down and not be so jumpy. Rednal still didn't have much care for whether the accused were innocent or guilty, but he did intend to see to it that whatever the verdict was, it was based on the correct information, and that people were not punished for the wrong thing. An old habit of his, it was... from a long, long time ago. Punishment for a crime they did commit, sure. Even if it was a Captain. Even if the punishment was nasty. Justice was justice, and people did need to follow the right laws. "Vice-Captain Durissa, I apologize for not arriving to take your statement earlier; we usually have more time than was alloted, and I needed to interview the defendants. Captain Kazei, I believe you should be aware that you yourself have been charged by a standing Captain of the crime of treason." Rednal said, going back into his role as a member of Internal Investigations there to deal with the presentation of information. Informing someone of why they were there fell under that mandate. "It may serve you well to take this seriously; your innocence or guilt is for the court to determine, and it has not done so yet. Would you like to make a statement to the Court before the video evidence is shown?"

The young woman of the second division stared into his gorgeous blue eyes for a long moment before he kissed her. To think, 228 years in seireitei and never once had she been surprised by a kiss the way she just was. She'd been kissed, sure, but not in such a way that it turned her face red, it wasn't expected that time. Red in the face from such a kiss, she raised her hand to her lips slowly, unsure how else to react but to do so. Worst of it was, she didn't dislike it, if she had she would have slapped him for it, but she didn't know if it was appropriate to have reacted anyway but in silent shock, she didn't need eyes on her. Instead, she sat silent, listening as he spoke and suggested they stay silent for the time being. He sure didn't plan on Kazei showing up, neither had she at first but upon seeing him she was quick to react to that. Gritting her teeth, she reached her hand back and took hold of her zanpakuto's hilt, unsure what else to do and unable to hold a poker face at his appearance. He had a lot of guts to walk into that court room, especially with the rumor in the air that he was behind Soma and Oruga's trial and he had attacked other shinigami, to her that was a bit more than a rumor. Unable to hold herself back, she stood, glancing to Aisu appologetically, she couldn't stop what she was about to do, she wanted to kill Kazei more than she'd ever wanted to kill Soma or as much as she wanted destroy Shinioko. Kazei was at the top of her list and there was no reason the place would change that. "Kazei Hitaru, should be ex-captain of the sixth division. I told you last we met that I'd break your neck next I saw you. You aimed to attack me, turned traitor on your comrades and friends, and told a list of your soon to kill, I do so remember my name at the top of that list. Well you'd best prepare yourself, I've had the hours I need to make a list of my own, b*****d, and you're names on top." She hissed harshly, her left hand held tight to her blade. "Stand to admit your wrong Kazei, or you will not walk from this room. I am not the only one who knows it, you stand against at least six of us. Save us the trouble."

Kazei simply chuckled at Rednal's statement. It was funny for him to make a judgment call. As if he knew Kazei enough to know when he was serious or simply light hearted. True he was aware that he had been a potential suspect of this trial, but there were no charges against him. In order to have charges, one must have evidence and evidence was something these ladies and gentlemen did not possess. As for a statement, he didn't really need one. But if it they needed one, so be it. After all this case was turning out even more interesting by the moment. Scratching his head with an innocent look, he only smiled.
"Well if it helps put things together. Things sure have gotten confusing with all what's been happening. There are claims that I tricked Soma, this isn't true. Soma's actions were by pure instinct alone. He wanted to protect someone he thought was in trouble and he committed a crime as a result."
He nodded as if agreeing with himself. With that he turned his head back before shooting a wink and a smile towards the two love birds seated together. Their expressions now taking a look as if a carnivorous predator were approaching their nest. As Karume screamed useless threats, the Sixth Division Captain only closed his eyes and shook his head in pity.
"Ooh breaking necks eh, hehe. Sounds pretty painful kid. Such a troubled woman. Is she ill? Maybe the guards should restrain her before she does something she might regret, I'm sure you have your hands full with this trial as is Council."
He said referring to the woman's strong grip upon her zanpaktou, using it an action that symbolized a potential threat. Surely the council wouldn't allow such ruckus in their chambers. After all this was a court of order and law. Anyone breaking that would pay the consequences. Her threat was yet another weapon. Easily allowing him to maybe even fake his own death with a broken neck. Now what would be the odds of that after the council witnessed her threat....He smiled at the thought before shrugging his shoulders. Yet still, it was only one of many scenarios he could've used. A mere crossing thought, nothing more.
"Hehe Oruga tell them why you attacked Soma. Surely it couldn't have been because of me. My hands are clean."
He lied with a straight face, before glancing over to Oruga. Oruga knew that if he were to speak against him at this point, Kazei would surely add further evidence to the trial. Yes even the evidence on Oruga's latest hollow research that he's been performing lately. The same research he had only Kazei learned knowledge of, except for Kanon who knew partial information of it. This was the very same reason behind Oruga trying to place unknown compounds in Kazei's drink to prevent him from diving deeper into the research. Even with all that, he wanted this case to extend just a little longer. He was enjoying the show, but slapping the dirt all at once on these two fools would end all the fun.
"Better yet, scratch that. Let's just play the video and watch a little TV."

((Basically Aisu just stopped Karume from talking, so ignore her speech ^^)) Also standing Aisu was behind Karume and had one arm around her waist. He had another arm raised to cover her mouth as he smiled kindly and brought his mouth up against her ear. Kissing her ear once he simply spoke clamly and softly into her ear.
"Now now love, do not do anything you will regret. You dont want to be on trial too, and... I dont want to lose you."
He whispered softly happy that he had stopped her before she had made any threat towards Kazei. What he said was true, he did not want to lose Karume and even though this feeling was wierd he loved it.
"We will have our chance at Kazei however it is not the right time. We can train togeather and work towards it as Kazei is strong and I do not know exactly how strong yet. So please love, calm yourself. I am here now."
He said smiling once more and taking a seat so that she would sit on his lap. Wrapping both arms around her waist he simply held her close making sure she would not speak. He was glad that he caught her before she spoke too much or at all.

Kanon entered the court room shortly afterwards arrivng just in time to hear Kazei speak. She took a quick note of who was in the room, though her only intention was to testify in the defense of her Captain as well as Captain Soma. She figured that most of the formalities would be over by now, but it seemed as though things were heating up even more with the arrival of Kazei. "I apologize for being late, there were a few things I needed to... attend to first." She said, for once almost appearing in disarray. Considering that she was a fairly relaxed person the majority of the time, this was a trait that only a few who were either observant or knew her would find peculiar. Basically, there was always something important on her mind whenever she entered such a state. However, she was quite calm when she entered, quietly moving over to where the other Lieutenants and Captain were.
Her first instinct was to take brief observations of the people in the room, though only a few stood out from the others in her mind. As she expected it to be, the atmosphere in the room was tense. It made sense considering that Kazei had been summoned there. It was almost ingenious how easily that the Captain had managed to pull the strings behind everything to suit his favour. Yet despite the fact that the majority, if not all of the Shinigami testifying knew he was guilty, the law would be unable to touch him. That was most likely his train of thought at least, that everything was executed flawlessly and the loose ends would soon be dealt with in a rather ironic way. With that train of thought in mind, Kanon waited for them to show the tapes.

Soma didn't move a muscle and didn't raise a finger. All Soma did was close his eyes and stated to everyone that was in the room.
"Its really not wise to talk out of turn in the court, no matter who you are and what title you hold. This goes for everyone even me. I know what I did and I know what was done to frame me. Yet, without being there to see it in eyes view you wouldn't know. From this point on would everyone please be quiet and let the council members view the tape so the trial can continue."
Soma then stood there waiting to hear the verdict of the council. Soma didn't care that Kazei was here, he didn't care that people were trying to kill Kazei either. In his eyes everyone has a time to die. You can't fight it and you can't change the path of your future. If its Soma's time to die now then so be it. The only thing that was left was for was to view the video and then move forward with the trial of both Soma and Oruga.
