Iggy bent over the papers and studied them as if that would help him decide. Unfortunately for Casca's attempts at cool, the other boy proved oblivious and thus not likely to provide validation. "Hm," he sighed. "Can't sew. I'm not an artist like Dad so that's a no way but, well... Is there anythin' that requires liftin' and that sort of thing? Dad taught me some stuff about buildin'."

"Backstage," said the gargoyle. "Prop construction. They'll just make you carry it, is all."
And then, a bit longsuffering: "Do you always drop your g's like that?"

"My g's?" Iggy blinked at Casca for a moment before he shrugged and picked up the pen to sign up for prop construction. "I guess. I dunno if I ever noticed. No one's said anythin' about it." The pen hesitated over the paper for an instant before he finally settled on Ignacio Garcia, his full name. "I mean, someone would've if it was that bad, right? Nada." He glanced up at Casca sideways before straightening his posture again. "Yeah?"

"It just makes you sound..." Casca gestured one hand a bit fruitlessly in the air. "Folksy. You want to sound folksy, that's fine, your choice, nothing wrong with it."
He shrugged his shoulders, sticking his hands in his pockets. "Catch you on the flip side, Garcia," he said amiably, and ambled out of the hall.

Kisala had zoned out for a moment, but the familiar voice of Iggy brought her back,
"Iggy!" she blinked, rushing over to him,
"I haven't seen you in ages!" She'd still been little then, just a kid. Now she was definitely not so little, and he didn't look quite so big.

Iggy had been staring after Casca, puzzled, when Kisala's voice drew him back. He immediately lit up like fireworks. "Kisa!" There was no hesitation as he gave her a quick bear hug. Then he stood back and surveyed her. "Wow. You've grown lots. I like it. We can do more stuff together."
He remembered suddenly why they were there. "Oh. Oh, hey, you're doing this, too?"

Kisa giggled,
"Yeah! I'm doing props and setwork and stuff. I figure, I like to build models, so helping build that stuff shouldn't be too much of a leap, right?"
She was a little puzzled over 'we can do more stuff together' until she realized what it meant-- now that she was bigger, she didn't have little legs holding her back, so she could keep up if they were running around together or something,
"We should hang out sometime!"

"Oh, totally!" Iggy grinned whitely and rocked back on his heels. He gave her another quick look-over but it was curiously inoffensive and devoid of any of the usual leers teenage boys might give teenage girls. "I signed up for the props thing, too. But we should hang out outside of this. Like... I dunno, go out to the park or something."

She giggled, "Oh! working on props together should be fun, too, but I'd meant outside of the play, yeah." The look didn't even phase Kisala. If he -had- been checking her out she still probably wouldn't have noticed it, not being inclined to think about that sort of thing.
"Hey, ya, I'm at the park -all- the time! Should I give you my phone number so you can just call the Temple and we can set a time to hang out?"

"Totally." Iggy half-turned and reached for... Empty air. He immediately looked a bit stricken before it melted into a sheepish smile and he turned back to her. "Um, do you have paper to write on? I think I lost my backpack. Probably left it in the gym. I'll have to ask Shade but... Paper?"

Kisala grinned, rifling through her backpack,
"Here we are!" She pulled out a scrap of paper that had English notes all over the back of it,
"I don't want these anyways. Already took that test!"
Hastily she snatched up the pen on the signup desk and scribbled out her number,
"There. You can call me anytime!"

"Excellent! Cool." Iggy studied the numbers for a moment before folding it up neatly and tucking the slip of paper into his back pocket. "How's your mom?" he asked, remembering his manners. "Does she know you're doin' this, too?"

A short, blonde figure had moved in for the kill as Kisala and Iggy had been talking -- snuck in behind them in a move of complete futility, as it wasn't like Ignacio could smell everyone coming before they, well, came. She was wearing her denim overalls let down at the waist, decorated liberally with fingerpainted graffiti, which at least was a step up from her wearing of belts as skirts; she did appear to only be wearing a crop top beneath it and a blue pageboy cap stuck on her head, but never mind.
Wisp picked up first piece of paper and made a slight noise of distress at it; picking up the pen she hovered her pen in the page that contained Ophelia's name, then Nacho's, and then with a reckless swipe wrote her name under Iggy's.
"THIS WON'T BE WEIRD AT ALL," she said emphatically to nobody in particular. Then she fled.

She felt a little weird, walking into the room where there were so many teens, but Kash was brave. At least, she told herself that as she squared her shoulders and stuck her chin out. So what if she was shorter than almost everyone in the room?
She strode forward, stopping at the desk and jotting her name down under Wisp's, then grinning as she realized she would get to see Iggy again with the job. And paint backdrops! How cool was that? Maybe she could make paper mache rocks or something, too!

Still gaping after the disappeared Wisp, it took Iggy a moment before he could shift his attention to Kash and, when he finally did, there was a heavy sort of depression in his eyes - a new look on the teenager. Within a few more moments, though, he pulled up his default cheer and smiled at the younger girl. "Hey, Kash! Long time, no see!"
