Zana tried not to laugh outloud as she sprang just in time and crouched staring at the very tip of her brothers tail. Her sides ached from the effort and she quickly sprang on his rump.
She giggled and rolled off to one side, "Nicely done Jani" she managed to laugh out before slowly sitting back up.

Jani yelped when his sister jumped on him, and then wriggled under her for a moment. "Heeey!" he protested, turning to jump on her in turn.
"I win!" he declared, nomming at an ear.

Zana pawed at her brother and nodded with a smile conceding defeat and flopping to her side again. "Yes you win, so do I make a better opponent then the grass?"
She took her brothers ear tugging with ease and gave him a playful headbut in return.

"Yea! You're easier to find," he replied, laughing as he let her up. "So what now, I get to hide?" Jani asked then, flicking his tail about.

"Ha! we'll see how well YOU hide!" She nudged him. "go on then!" With that she smiled and sat up moving to turn and close her eyes for the count.

The day continued in such a simple fashion, they played until sunset, until mama called them for dinner. For once Zana partook of the family meal, for once she felt her proper age.
As she curled up beside her brother she nudged him softly and smiled. "I had fun today...thanks Jani..." And as warm as she felt in her heart, a cooler voice in the back of her head gave a mild growl of irritation and told her that tomorrow would not be spent in games, but in hard work and training.

"Me too~" Jani replied happily, nuzzling at his sister. "We should play again sometime..." And with a little yawn, the juvenile drifted off to sleep.
