"Let's get something to eat, shall we? If we're going to sit and chat, may as well not be idle about it," F'sey decided, motioning for Handra to tag along behind him. The greenrider rather hoped Handra wasn't going to be stubborn about it. The whole meeting was still rather delicate and while the rider was finding he might actually kind of enjoy Handra's company, poor behavior could still shatter the entire relationship.
F'sey helped himself to a sandwich and waited for Handra, who he fully expected to follow along, and took a bite before he finally considered the candidate's question. "Well. They're all different, you know" he started, quite sure he needed a disclaimer. "But as for Ialluth? I don't mind talking about Ialluth." The greenrider started to head back to a table, taking another bite of the sandwich as he thought. "Ialluth is a good girl. She's a little opinionated, but she always has my best interests at heart. She's a bit motherly, hovering, if you will, but she's agile and she's sharp as a whip, my girl."
Ialluth rumbled her pleasure.
I have not heard you speak this much in a long time, Mine.

The thought of eating with a dragonrider made butterflies flutter in his stomach, but he trotted eagerly after F'sey. Handra was very acutely aware that saying no to the greenrider would ruin any sort of good impression he had made on the man. Besides, what candidate in his right mind would say no to having a quick bite to eat with a dragonrider? A crazy one, that’s what. And even if he was crazy, he was not the type of person to say no to anyone, really, especially not when they were being generous to him. That was just plain rude.
Deciding it was best to just follow F'sey's lead, the former shepherd picked up a sandwich of his own as well as a small handful of tubers. His mother had always told him it was important to eat his vegetables. With food in hand he followed F'sey back to their table, listening intently as he spoke about his dragon. "She sounds like a very nice dragon, sir. What's she look like?" Though he had a feeling it would be hard to identify dragons from a distance, he wanted to at least be able to spot Ialluth when he saw her. He liked the idea of a motherly green. "Do you think I could Impress a green, sir?"

"Ialluth is a mottled green. She's fairly light in tone, with dark speckles. And she's pretty small, as far as dragons are concerned," F'sey said between mouthfuls. He chewed and swallowed, frowning thoughtfully. His words didn't really do his dragon justice. "That's..." He scowled. "Would you like to come see her after we eat? She's stunning in person."
And she likes company.
F'sey ignored the quip. "If you're supposed to get back to chores, you can come by and visit us later. We're never up to a terrible lot." It wouldn't do to get their new friend in trouble. Candidates always had a heaping pile of chores before them, even the greenrider could remember that. And were he to Impress, F'sey felt certain the lad should, he'd have his hands full with his own dragon. The rider sighed and closes his eyes. He really shouldm't be getting so ahead of himself.
Ialluth started to say something, and quickly thought the better of it. Something was different with Hers; for one thing, he hadn't yelled at this one yet. It was strange, very strange. But maybe she should let it go, for the time being. Who knew what kind of change it might bring.

Handra almost forgot about his sandwich as he listened intently, nibbling on one what he could without taking his eyes off F'sey. The dragonrider had told him to look at him when he was speaking, and the former shepherd was not going to disobey such a direct order even when there was food involved. His sandwich would just have to wait until the greenrider was finished. His dragon sounded wonderful, though, with all of her different shades of green. Perhaps F'sey would let him see Ialluth, one day. He could hope.
His hopes were answered almost instantly when the greenrider invited him to come and see her. A grin broke out on his face before he could stop himself, and he nodded eagerly. "I would love to see her, sir." Unfortunately, shouting from the direction of the kitchen reminded him that he still had work to do. Later, perhaps. His grin turned sheepish. "After I finish my work though, sir. Sorry, sir. But I'll make sure to come by and see her sir! She sounds absolutely amazing!" The young man scarfed down the rest of his sandwich before getting to his feet and bowing low to F'sey. He then took off at a run towards the kitchen, hoping he wouldn't get into too much trouble. Even if he did, it would be worth it.
He had got to meet a real dragonrider!
