"Hello ma'am, are you alright soldier?" Alex had a complete look of concern, especially since he noticed her to be so young.
He took a look around to see if anyone was near by, but it was all clear, "May I come in?"

(If you say yes, just RP me in the room...)

Dee eyed the marine suspiciously. She could recall something that Nathaniel had told her. What was it?....Oh, yes. "No boys are allowed in your room after 8 p.m". She chuckled under her breath at the discussion on boys that the doctor had led her into where he constantly reminded her that boys only wanted one thing. He was so very much like a father to her, despite his age. Her eyes had begun to water again, though not as much as earlier, and she quickly turned her face away from the doorway just after she nodded quickly. Company might do her some good, perhaps even take her mind off of the whole situation.

The human mind, especially that of a teenager, was so complicated and she wondered how anyone could live like this. It was so...aggravating the emotions that people felt. Anyways, after she had succeeded in preventing anymore tears, Dee walked a few feet away from the marine and crossed her arms, awaiting some kind of introduction from him.

Mitchell, Scott P. | UNSC MARINES E-9

Mitchell grunted as the Marine spoke. He momentarily shifted his gaze from O'Connol to the poor guy. Corporal Carlson would probably need to be spoken to later on. Something that Mitchell wasn't particularly looking forward to. He'd handle it though. There was nothing worse than bad blood between two men on the same side. He wouldn't let O'Connol get out of hand. But he didn't want Carlson doing something stupid either. Well this is a perfect start to my two days off, He thought. He hadn't expected anyone else to be in the room. Although he wasn't really surprised. These sorts of things tended to happen in groups. When the Marine identified herself as a Gunnery Sergeant he nodded calmly to her and tensed up slightly when she approached O'Connol. He wasn't worried about himself, nor was he angry, he was concerned that the Rook was going to explode again. The kid had always been quiet, a little too quiet in Mitchell's book. Now he was as predictable as the wind. The struck the Sergeant Major in the wrong way. When Falkland turned away from the Rook and spoke to him, he relaxed a little. He smiled when she snapped off a salute. Apparently she was military to the core. Usually people didn't salute men in shorts, no shoes, and a t-shirt.
"At ease. Don't worry about it Gunny. We're all a little tense after what happened on New Harmony."
He chuckled softly in a crude attempt to defuse a potentially explosive situation and sat down on his bunk.
"I think everyone just needs some time to cool off."
Mitchell shot a glance at O'Connol and hoped he understood the silent orders. "Calm down or I'll have you confined to quarters."

After being let in, he took a brief look around the room and briefly noticed part of a bra poking out of a bag, which made him quickly give back his attention to the young lady, "Thank you, I suppose I should introduce myself. I am Corporal Alexander Carlson. Also known as the Phoenix, because I have been put down as K-I-A 7 or 8 times."
He put out his hand as a gesture of a hand shake, "And who might you be?"

Orbit of New Harmony
Portia
Aboard the UNSC Armored Prayer

Compton's unrest was more than a bother, he wanted to get things over with so he could go relax. He wanted to hear what needed to be said, absorb the words that mattered most "you've been demoted" and continue onward, but of course the CO in charge of it all was slow to act. Compton looked from side to side, unsatisfied with the fact that there was still no one coming to address the issue of his insubordination. But just as the thought to leave reached his mind two figures jumped from a darkened, shadowy corner at Compton. Immediately reacting, the "7 foot freak" sprang to action, and while he wasn't quick enough to dodge the assailants, he was strong enough to catch both of them in his arms and slam them to the ground. He stared down at their faces, two young Marines that were stupid enough to pounce at the largest man aboard the Armored Prayer cringed, looking back up at him with a mix of fear and something else. What was it... pride? Were they happy? Suddenly Compton realized that the two had a rope attached to his back, the two sprang like they did so they could clasp hands around his back and effectively seal whatever they had to tie around his back. Compton tried to pull free but the two tightened the "rope" and it came crashing inwards.

Now effectively immobilized, Compton knew he was at a disadvantage so he admitted defeat by nodding and allowed the men to escort him to wherever they needed to take him. As they walked through the hangar towards a sole Pelican one of the two men looked back. Compton glared at him through the blackened visor of his helmet. His size alone was enough to make the Marine cringe, coupled with the black suit he wore, it had an effect on the Marine and Compton could see the young soldier literally shaking.

The three stood at the foot of the Pelican's bay until a soldier clad in re-entry gear approached. Only oddity of it all was the strange figure encased in a giant gray suit was Captain Jacobs, one of the most well respected commanders in the Outer Colonies. Compton didn't know his punishment was coming from this high up, but it didn't surprise him. They had to fight fire with fire, and what better way to humiliate and get a message through to Compton than to send someone just as equally intimidating, for obviously different reasons however. The large suit still didn't add enough height to the commander, which while didn't help with physical intimidation, didn't hinder his reputation's intimidation. Compton was staring at one of the most battle hardened son of a bitches the Galaxy had ever seen. Jacobs had been in the war from start to finish and had survived it all, including the glassing of a few planets. Hell, one could argue that his ability to lead alone saved New Harmony from being glassed. So, when he approached Compton it sent a shiver down the giant's spine, unnoticeable to anyone who wasn't closely paying attention, but Compton knew that Jacobs was more than aware of his stature and it's effect on those under his command.

There were no words to acknowledge his presence, no nod or hand gestures, just a rigid stance. The commander motioned to the two Marines who promptly turned to face Compton who in turn stared back, the blank visor displaying no emotions, but behind it all Compton could scarcely hold a straight face. He was scared to death quite frankly and he knew that Jacobs knew that. The Marines suddenly grabbed onto Compton and lifted with all of their might, and surprisingly enough lifted the massive soldier up into the bay. Quickly they sat him down and attached whatever rope they had tied around him to a safety harness, then they left the scene for the safety of the Pelican's cockpit. No one wanted to be around to hear this, unfortunately it was all directed at Compton who now knew the fear that the CO he punched felt.

Still, there was no exchange of words, even as the Pelican lifted upwards and out of the hangar, flying nose first towards the sky. Jacobs stood, attached to the bird by the magnetized suit, while Compton began to slide from his seat until finally Jacobs attached yet another harness to his back. Compton wanted to ask why he was attaching this, but he didn't. He assumed it was for his own safety as the Pelican's bay door remained open. Another question that popped up in his head was why that was so, but before he could even logically come up with an answer, a swift boot to his rear end sent him careening outwards towards the ground beneath him. A tug from the harness securing him sent him flipping in random directions and the added g's intensified with the Pelican's rapid ascension.

When Compton finally stabilized the Pelican was on a direct vertical course and Compton was flailing in the wind behind the massive bird, staring up at the eclipse of the ship into Jacob's mask. There are no words in the English language, or in any form of verbal communication that could describe the wave of fear that was rushing over Compton. A mix of emotions ran through him and all he could think about was why, why on Earth had he done any of this?! And Jacobs hadn't even said a word yet.

The heat of the Pelican's engines was steadily wearing away at Compton, his suits internal temperature control couldn't keep up with the few hundred degrees of output that the Pelican emitted. Just when Compton thought he couldn't take anymore Jacobs finally spoke.

""I RUN A VERY TIGHT SHIP COMPTON! THE EFFICIENCY OF MY MEN DEPENDS ON THEIR ADHERENCE TO A CERTAIN SET OF RULES. WHEN SOMEONE BREAKS THOSE RULES, IT ISN'T ONLY AN INSULT TO THE CREW, BUT AN INSULT TO ME! YOU HAVE INSULTED ME ABOARD MY OWN SHIP! IF YOU EVER DISRESPECT A SUPERIOR OFFICER, NO MATTER HOW MUCH OF A CHICKENSHIT HE MAY BE, I WILL PERSONALLY HUNT YOU DOWN AND THROW YOU OUT OF AN AIRLOCK! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR LANCE CORPORAL?""

A panicked nod and a thumbs up communicated back to Jacobs all that Compton needed to say. He wanted this nightmare to be over, he wanted to get away. The fearless man had been torn to pieces and was now little more than a shell of his former self and if he didn't get out of here soon, away from the humiliation, he wouldn't be able to go back to being who he was. He wouldn't be the factor that he had been known to be. He shouted back as loud as he could, hoping to make it all end, "Sir I understand perfectly!"

Suddenly the Pelican began to decelerate and slowly but surely Compton was pulled back into the Pelican's bay. The next 15 minutes Compton was spent wallowing in over himself and just how pitiful the events that occurred were. He wanted to break something, beat someone, or or maim somebody but he feared punishment now more than ever. Finally he was on his way to his room, he could reflect more in there and maybe move past it all like he normally did, that was the least he could hope for now.

For a brief moment everything seemed to slow down for her; her breathing stopped and she stood before the marine with an emotionless look on her face. On the outside one might say she was a robot as for the fact she didn't stir, but inside those few words had lit a match in her brain that forced a name to come out, despite her better judgment. Her lips parted and allowed the words to leave her lips.

"UNSC R.A.G.D.O.L.L UNIT X.2 SERIES 001-Dee."

If one listened closely enough they might find that the voice speaking was not only her's but also the voice of an elderly man; Doctor Nathaniel. It was a recording, so to speak. When she had finished her own introduction, Dee reached out her right hand and clasped the marine's in a rehearsed manner and shook.

Amelia gave a wearied smile at the Sergeant Major; "Yes, sir." she replied, taking a look at the ODST who had fallen back on his rack, "He will learn his place before we get off this planet; I'll make sure of it." She saluted him once more, then turned to her rack as the Sergeant Major left. She glanced at the man behind her;"Pay no mind to him, sir. Not all of my Marines are as...rambunctious as he is." Amelia noticed his still fuming anger, so she decided to let him be.

Finally done fixing her rack, Amelia felt the sleep finally coming to her. She bent down to get into her rack, but stopped suddenly. Damn. she thought as a terrible pain shot up her side. She nearly fell over, but was able to grasp the top bunk for support. She took a shaky breath, then tried again. The second time Amelia let out an audible grunt, but was able to sit down. She placed her helmet on her ditty bag in her obsessive-compulsive manner. Next came her armor: starting with the chest-plate, Amelia unlatched the top buckles on each side, removing both the chest-piece and the shoulder armor, laying it gently on her rack. She removed the vambraces next, along with her gauntlets. It always felt wonderful to feel the air on a naked hand...Finally she removed the rest of the armor that was still attached; various pads, the shin-guards, and finally the body harness. She stacked it all next to her ditty bag, keeping in mind Military Regulations. Amelia lifted her left leg first onto the rack and untied her boot, leaving it next to the stacked armor and doing the same with the other boot. All she had left on her body were BDU trousers, socks and undershirt. Amelia swung her legs onto the rack, feeling yet another debilitating sting of pain. She fell with a shortness of breath onto her pillow, clenching the ailing side.

Amelia stayed in that position for awhile. The coming of sleep that she had felt before was now lost.

"Uhm, nice to meet you." Alex smiled, he couldn't get himself to stop this handshake, her hands felt so nice and smooth, as if they have been barely used at all. He slowly let the handshake die and then he looked around a bit, "Would you like to go for a walk? I got some energy to burn off."

Dee presently lowered her arm so that it hung at her side. For a few moments she contemplated his questioning, took a quick glance over at her goggles from where she had seen the message, and looked back at him. She nodded and let out a bit of sigh before she took a seat down on her bed and threw on her combat boots and her goggles which she hung around her neck rather than the top of her head. A walk would do her some good to take her mind off the doctor, of course she really doubted she would stop thinking about him and Scott at all. Besides, Portia was a beautiful place and she did have a longing to breath in some of the fresh air.

She said not another word before stepping outside of the room and waited next to the wall for the marine.

Alex followed Dee out, grabbed the door handle and paused as a thought came to him. Should I really be around such a young woman, especially with my history. He let the thought die and closed the door quite softly.
"Lets go." Alex gestured with his left arm pointing towards the elevator. He walked to the elevator with Dee, looking around nervously and scoping the place out. As they got to the elevator, he pressed the down button and leaned on the wall.

Almost mimicking the man, Dee leaned against the wall but also tucked her hands into her coat pockets. She turned her head to the side and every so often would look at the marine; she didn't know who he was, despite he was a UNSC marine, and was a bit wary and suspicious. Of course, if he tried anything she would see to it that he'd be a cripple the rest of his life. The doctor had been very strict towards her and consulting with stranger, unless of course the situation demanded. Dee wondered why she was not listening to the old man's advice right now? Why had she left her room with someone she didn't know? Maybe she was just lonely and wanted to get away from the four walls of the room that were beginning to make her claustrophobic, or maybe it was to have something else to think about for a little while and give her petty emotions a rest.

Whatever the reasons, Dee was here now, leaning against the cold wall, awaiting the elevator to come to a stop at the bottom floor.

Alex looked at the young lady, raising one of his eyebrows and smirking. He then took a glance up at the level counter to see it was already at 12... 11... 10... "Nearly there." He waited for it to come to a slow halt, another thought came to him, what if some high ranking officer was on the bottom level and saw he was with this girl. What if anyone from the Titan was there. He starting getting a nervous twitch as the doors opened to ground fall. He gestured for Dee to go first.

Orbit of New Harmony
Portia
Regency Hotel
Reception Desk

Compton took the long walk from the Armored Prayer to the Regency as slow as he could. The walk was near debilitating, all of the thoughts of how weak he was just a few moments before and how it sickened him. He was never afraid of anyone or anything up to that point, and he knew nothing would happen to him, but for some reason or another he was scared shitless when he was dangling out the back of the Pelican. Maybe it was that Jacobs was scrutinizing him or that he was just finally letting in to something he was hiding even from himself, he let go and actually felt fear. Thankfully, that would be the last time. He knew now what worst was that happened to him and the odds are that it will never happen again. When he finally reached the Regency he was stuck in total awe, the building was a giant resort on an island moon, why would anyone build this here of all places? Of course, he wouldn't object to them letting him stay there, after all it was a five star resort on one of the most well known vacation destinations in the galaxy.

"Welcome to the Regency sir!" A voice called at Compton as he walked through the automatic sliding doors. While it didn't take a genius to know how to check into a room Compton was new to the whole experience as he was usually accommodated for by the UNSC and their lovely rooms so when the receptionist called to him he was startled to say the least. After shaking off the momentary shock Compton could actually take in just how beautiful the place was. A massive open area that revealed hundreds upon hundreds of rooms lining the walls of this massive place. Slowly, he walked over to the reception desk, not letting his eyes loose from the beauty of the entire place. It was almost majestic and Compton was clearly captivated by it all. When he finally turned to face the receptionist he realized just how out of place he was. She stared up at him with an almost anxious disposition.

"Umm..." Compton was hesitant, he didn't know exactly what to say, how to get a room that was already ordered by the UNSC, "I'm with the Marines..."

The young lady whispered silently, "I can tell," but Compton didn't think anything of it, he wouldn't have any issues while he was here, at least, none involving a lady.
"What is your name, squad and division?" she asked him in a much less than enthused voice.

"Oh, Lance Corporal Nathaniel Compton, Echo Team, 105th ODST Division." Compton spat it out with pride, he had served in the 105th since his inception in the ODSTs and was one of the only two soldiers to remain in the same squad that they fought in the Great War. Since the end of the war soldiers have been moved, retired, or court martialed, whatever the case be it left Compton and one other person to remain in their original squad, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Finally the young lady handed him a small card for a room key and motioned towards the elevator.
"Your room is number 4b on the 47th floor, enjoy your stay." Compton didn't even look back at her, he simply grabbed the card and made off towards the elevator, he was ready for some R & R. His slow pace was now somewhat hastened, the bags he carried weren't as heavy as some of his equipment usually is, but it was becoming a bother and he wanted to get into the room. Luckily as he was approaching the golden doors to the elevator opened up and revealed a dark wooded elevator with golden handrails. As a young lady and a Marine walked out of the elevator door Compton hastened his pace, he didn't want to miss the the first elevator!

"Oi! Hold the elevator!"
