she looked at him cheerfully, "no not at all! some people are born knowing what they are to be in life, others take their time. i was born knowing what to do, and that makes my life one big quest. you on the other hand, have time to smell the roses." she then sort of laughed to herself, but in a sad way. she looked down at the pebbled road.

"Awwww, C'mon now! You think your quest is going to take your FULL life! You'll finish it, then what?" he stopped walking and stepped in front of her and lifted her chin. Gazing into her eyes with a soft smile he said, "Then you'll be just like me... and it will be your turn to smell the roses."

she looked deeply saddened "I am not sure I will live to smell those roses. my path is dangerous and uncertain." she turned away. she worried that in the process of killing her father he would kill her too, or his supporters would seek her dead. but if she did not free her grandfather soon, or if Judas knew of her betrayal then she would surely never see the day that she would drive her blade into her fathers heart. but it was the only way, he will not stop. Sybil took a moment to look at a begging woman and her two young sons, a tan bowl sat in front of them a sign was propped behind it reading "food or coin" the bowl was empty. Sybil left Kaosti for a moment and approached the family. she looked into the woman's hunger worn eyes, and then set the fish on her mat. Sybil then walked bat to her guide and again took his arm, "we should get going before father starts to worry" but she knew he wouldnt be worried about her at all, he never did.

Kaosti smiled, "Well, If you ever need a shoulder to lay your stress on... I'm in pretty good condition. Feel free to lay it on me." he continued their slow paced walk to the castle on the other side of town. he picked a few flowers along the way, and when they arrived at the castle yard he knelt on one knee and handed her a bouquet, "Flowers for a beautiful woman."

Sybil's face bloomed a lush pink. she took the flowers from him hesitantly, a little embarrassed she said thank you to the kind boy. "you already know my name, but what is yours?" she asked him shyly. A house maid flung the front door open and rushed to the princess, shouting her name. "my princess where have you been? the king is demanding he sees you. he is furious!" the woman was in panic, it was obvious his anger was not going to be over her morning jog. Judas stood in the door way at the top of the steps "Sybil!" Judas shouted, he sounded monstrous. with widened eyes she turned to face him. "you have been disobedient and suspicious of late. Ebony has broken out jail. where were you last night?" he demanded. she quickly replied "I was with my boyfriend," rather snobbishly "When did you decide to take any interest in what i do?" she snapped. Judas' face shaded with anger, and he rose his hand to strike her.

Kaosti paled slightly and rose to stand in front of her, "Perhaps it is not her you should be looking at... There was a moment in time in which she had fallen asleep... it was rather late you see... maybe it is that time in which you should look at... but perhaps it wasn't exactly who you think it was..." his voice was low and had a mischievous twist to it at the end.
He quickly turned to Sybil and kissed her softly, "Kaosti..." he slipped her a sheet of paper which was the address of the inn he stayed at, then gave Judas one last smirk, "Ya good at tag?"
then took off for the castle gate, dodging guards, "I think I'm smelling a bit more than roses, Lady Sybil!" he shouted as he scaled the gate, "But i think I like the danger." He bowed and vanished before their eyes.

Judas looked lost, "what the hell was he talking about?" he asked her. Sybil just shrugged, she wasn't sure either. he face was pink but she wasn't sure if it was from embarrassment or delight. he kissed me.. she said to herself, she was unsure as to how to feel about it, probably because it had never happened before. Sybil's heart was jumping with excitement, she was anticipating their meeting again. Judas examined her curiously, for once she was acting like a girl her age. "but about this Ebony, I have put a bounty on his head." he finaly said. Sybil started to frightened for Ebony, but she didn't let it show. "how did he escape anyway?" "him, or someone melted a hole in his cell." Sybil looked angered "then why would you acuse me? i cant do anything like that!" she looked at him in a scolding way. "your right, im sorry. i was just so angry." Judas looked a little ashamed of himself, then turned back to the castle.

it was much later, and the moon was high. Sybil left her home to see Kaosti at the inn. she needed to know more about him. maybe he could be helpful in the resistance. Sybil stepped up to his room door but just before she knocked, she had remembered seeing his teeth. could she trust a vampire? she knocked on the room door and waited for his reply

a sleepy old man answered the door in his briefs and smiled, "Hey baby, wanna come inside?"
Kaosti noticed Sybil walk in and as she hurried up the stairs he stood up from the table he was at, and followed her up. when the old man hit on her he glared at the man, then slammed the door in his face.
"I'm terribly sorry for their rudeness... they're quite foolish..." Kaosti smiled, "You must of asked where I was staying... Sorry... I was actually waiting for you down in the Bar area... Would you care to join me?" he asked as he offered up his arm to her.

Eisley stepped into the tavern to see Sybil. she sat down next to her and her male acquaintance. "I received your note, is he another recruit?" Eisley asked her. "well sort of." she replied. Sybil turned to Kaosti "this is Menace, she is an aid to my quest, and i would like you to be also."

Kaosti settled into the booth and watched the two talk. when they turned their attention to him, his usually smiley face turned serious and he looked at the two, "What kind of quest?"

Sybil looked around to make sure no one was close enough to hear. she leaned in to the table, "the quest to take my grandfather back. we are going to break him out like i did with Ebony." Eisley looked into Kaosti's eyes almost as if she could read them. she then nodded as if confirming something. "he couldnt be more loyal to you if he was a dog." Eisley said, smiling. Sybil smiled too.

Kaosti waved down a waitress, and ordered a bottle of bloodwine. once it came, he quickly poured himself a glass and drank it slowly, "So... When would this be happening?" he asked trying to hide his shanking hand.
