We're talking kids, old people, etc. Add in the fact that driving is difficult in a ruined city, where there is no maintenance or cleanup, and the fact that fear of attracting zombies freezes most people.
Swimming is actually has a surprisingly high number of people who don't know how. And we're talking swimming as in, fast and long, not recreational paddling.

Still. Swimming is not hard. .... Of course, this is coming from someone who swims competitively, but still. I don't know anyone who can't swim.

Three skills? *nudge* Come on...

I think we should have access to at least 5-6 skills that logically follow from our character, with 2 that we're specifically good at - for instance, my Martin may be GREAT at the Running & Endurance and Climbing skills as a traceur, he would logically have access, at least to some degree, the swimming, driving, basic first aid, and (DEFINITELY) Awareness skills, with melee proficiency and others being arguable.

I think joke choose 2 so the Rp would be more interesting as well as more difficult. But what I think he means by the skills is what their exceptionally good at, like you said alot of the skills alot of people could have but the Two skills are ones they excel at and do better then a majority of people.

Sure, having 2 makes it more interesting and difficult - but barring us from the others in the name of difficulty at the cost of realism isn't how it should work.

He says that you can learn additional skills. And this is based off a video gam/movie series, Realisim isn't really an issue.

I definitely agree with Thunder.
Tell you what, if you guys can get that list to over 40 skills, I'll allow 4 skills to each character.
