♪ ♫ ♪Basically i was thinking...
Before Sophie gets 'locked up', Nny would meet her after terrorizing some random lion/cheetah/creature whatever, and be in one of his saner states. So, wanting to find a reason for his sanity, he'd continue to visit her for a while, slowly becoming saner, and saner and saner...until she goes away.
So then he snaps completely one day, thinking the doughboys are back and somewhere the Wall has been erected again. When he snaps, some of the 'fixing' that has been done reverses and goes away, until he finds out where she's been and decides to go and visit.
When he learns of her plight, his first though would be to kill anyone who would hold her there since he's taken a shine to her, but instead of just doing it, he asks her if he could do so. Quite obviously, she would say no and he would try to find another way to free her without shedding any blood.
...I'm probably getting ahead of myself but that's what i have so far XD
