I really can't imagine D as anything but asexual, either boy choice, necessity, or habit.

I swear I can see Alucard doing something with his master xd Though I havent read much of Hellsing. As for D, I always thought he had some feelings for Dora Lang, if you read the novels. wink

I may be biased when it comes to pairings, such as ones that will never see the light of day because there are too many others that snuff them out, such as Vincent Valentine and Tifa Lockheart are my all time favourite pairing in the entire world. D and Doris Lang are also among those who take the top three.
I would love to see both of them together. When dealing with women, I thought that D displayed the most emotion from the first book compared to all the others ones I've read thus far. And to top it all off, Doris is a hunter, so she knows the ropes and has common ground with D. Although he could be attracted to her, which could mean it's only infatuation, but I would like to think that it's pure genuine love between the two.
One of the clues that adds to this, and I'm pretty sure someone said this already, he protected her and her brother for free. Although his sole payement was three meals a day, as well as her body to do with as he pleased, he didn't take the latter, and hardly ate during the book. And although Doris did depend on him, as she clearly states multiple times in teh novel, I feel she meant this as a means that she was lonely and needed someone who was stronger than herself to lean on. The girl is under a lot of stress, and it would seem like common sense that she would fall in love with someone like D who knew how to take care of himself as well as help out around the house.
They both would make a beautiful couple, regardless of his bloodlust due to him being a dhampir. If anything, the love between them would be enough to stop his urges, but at the same time, would make it harder for him. But if he was willing to fight them off to keep Doris and her brother safe, then by all means that is true love to me. Besides, I would love to see them get married and have children. Which reminds me, given that D is a dhampir, having half vampire blood and human blood in him, would his children have less vampire blood in them if he were to have children with a human?
