ChaosXGhost Thanks for crushing my dreams.................. Thnx alot dude. stressed relax. it was an ok idea, but unfortunately he is not a good safety for coverage. vikings were great against the run and need to work more in their pass coverage. this way they can get both aspects of the game to work properly. but it still was worth a shot. I will say this though, I think that maybe the Cardinals or Houston would be good spots for Williams.

Why would the Cardinals need a safety? They have a very good secondary. Actually, I think they have a good defense overall. They have pieces in place.
Antrel Rolle and Adrain Wilson are two very good safeties. Rodgers-Cromartie has show he can be good. Hood... is above average. Carlos Dansby is proven. That defensive line stepped up in the playoffs. They've shown they can be good enough to hold for that offense.

The only addition they might need on defense is another defensive tackle, and an inside linebacker. They also lost Antonio Smith, so they may need a defensive end.

vegito61283 Also, how does he not have the upper body strength? The only type of tackle he really knows is the Horse Collar. That requires a lot of upper body strength to do. And as for Leg Strength? Taking down RB's requires a crap load of lower body strength to do that. He would have everything he needs to do the LB position. As for being on the Giants, they already do have an above average LB corp that is young. There safeties are what is needed taken care of. He would not help in the least. As for what I saw of last year, BOTH Philly or the Giants would have won the SB if the refs had not made it that Arizona was to get there. I.E. one of the crappiest and worst called games in the history of the NFL. That was actually said by a couple analysts. I still don't think that Roy L. Williams would be a good linebacker. He wouldn't be able to start at LB for the Giants at least. Anyways, I wanted the Giants to look into getting him, because he'd help our young safeties develop. Butler left this offseason, leaving a hole at SS. Kenny Phillips is a great tackler, and will soon be a star in this league. Bringing in Williams to teach Phillips what to do when the play is in front of him would be beneficial. The Giants also have Michael Johnson and CC Brown, so he wouldn't get too much playing time. If the price drops, then I think the Giants should look into him.

When RB's got throught the D-Line, the RB was not stopped usually till the DB's. Williams would help to stop that by putting him on OLB. He can read the run better than he can the pass. That is why I am saying.

No, if we were smart we would've re-signed Matt Birk. Sharper can be replaced, Birk cannot imo.

If there is anything that has been proven last year with Brady, it is that ANYBODY can be replaced.

Roy Williams is an excellent Run cover guy, and a good hitter, but his coverage skills could be a bit better, and he really has fallen from grace, some proof from Madden as his overall went from the Ninety's to like 83, so his skill level has dropped off, but he's replaceable, like most Safeties, in my opinion.

But like I said, if you were to look at that, he would be a better LB than safety.

Yes, he is a good tackler and makes fierce hits, but he is too small and not strong enough to take on a true LB position in the pros. He would get killed on screen passes.

Hey, with how long you have been watching the game, how many times does it have to be proven that it does not matter the size anymore. Some of the smaller players are just as good as the larger players.
