RIDER INFORMATION

Name: P'las
Age: 35
Sex: Male (Very much so...)
Orientation: STRAIGHT BY FARANTH!
Rank: Wingsecond (There be reason he not Wingleader... read on.)

Physical Description: P'las is tall, standing at just over six feet. However, he is not the best looking man. His dusty blond hair is kept cropped short and his green eyes are almost muddy in color. The man has a light tan and is built from being a dragonrider for so long.

Personality: P'las is very open with women. He has a reputation at other Weyrs for bedding nearly every female in the Weyr. Often times, this leads to his dismissal from the Weyr and the man is shuffled off to another Weyr. He gets along fairly well with men, unless they get into a disput over a woman or if the man attempts to hit on him. P'las is man and proud of it.

P'las can have a slight problem with authority at times, a result, most likely, of his shuffling about due to his... friendliness with the women.

P'las will do pretty much anything to get a woman into bed with him. He won't stoop as low as to damage his masculinity, but he's open to most anything... as long as it gets him laid in the end.

History: Perilas had been born to a small Hold, as one of two twin boys with a younger brother following along seven Turns later. He grew up helping around the Hold, learning how to manage the Hold so that he could become a Holder when he came of age. Those plans changed when Perilas hit puberty. He was found rather often in bed with a female. Rather often being... almost all the time. His father thought that it might just be a phase, but the teen didn't grow out of it very quickly like the man had hoped.

A Searchdragon arrived and Perilas was selected to become a candidate. His father was relieved and practically tossed his son to the rider. Perilas found Weyrlife to be more of his taste upon his arrival and soon became comfortable there. Then the Hatching occurred and he Impressed Pericolath, one of two bronzes of the clutch.

P'las had a hard time in weyrlinghood, especially with the fact that relationships weren't allowed in any form. It was often wondered if P'las broke that rule, regardless, due to Pericolath's lack of interest in pursuing females. But nothing was ever proven.

After the pair graduated, they were transferred to another Weyr. There, P'las kept his act up, soon producing a few children through the various relationships. Four Turns after their transfer, P'las and Pericolath were transferred once again.

By this point, P'las began to tire of constantly being shuffled about, but wouldn't listen to his dragon about slacking off the females a bit. The process was repeated and, three Turns later, the pair were once again sent off to another Weyr. That Weyr managed to keep P'las and Pericolath for five Turns, but once again, the pair were sent off, this time to Ista Weyr. Repeated actions of his past have nearly driven the Weyrleaders crazy and they would be happy to push the man to the new Weyr that's being talked about.

P'las doesn't know how many children he has fathered and probably will never know.

Although he is a bronzerider, P'las has never risen above Wingsecond due to his... habits. While a great leader among a group of men, P'las is unable to handle groups including females (mainly due to the fact that he's probably slept with them and has a harder time issuing orders). He's been scolded about this by several Weyrleaders and is trying to improve.

While he has probably bedded most women in most of the Weyrs of Pern, Pericolath has never flown a gold or even attempted to. Peri doesn't wish to be tied down in such a manner and Pericolath never seems too interested to try.

Pets: None

Other/Talents: ... Do you really want details here? XD Let's just say that bedding women is his number one talent.

Picture: (if you have one)

DRAGON INFORMATION

Name: Pericolath
Color: Bronze

Physical Description: Dark bronze with a lighter colored underbelly and muzzle. Pericolath is a medium-large bronze, not seeming to stand out in size much among others of his color.

Personality: Unlike his rider, Pericolath often does not wish to pursue a dragon in Flight. After some 'convincing' by his rider, he always ends up joining, though somewhat reluctantly until the passion of chasing a female kicks in.

More laid back, the dragon often warns dragons with female riders about his rider when he finds out that they are about to meet. P'las is unaware of this as his dragon tries to keep the man somewhat in check and stay at the same Weyr for more than 5 Turns.

Many Weyrleaders have pondered over the bronze's lack of interest in mating flights and blame the rider's... never ending obsession with females. They find little else to criticize about Pericolath, who has great stamina, though lacks the speed of the little dragons.

Pericolath is rather straight-forward and tries his best to keep his rider mostly in line.

RIDER INFORMATION

Name: Anieka
Age: 23
Sex: Female
Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingrider

Physical Description: Anieka is an average height woman. With her brown hair and eyes, she doesn't seem to stand out too much from other women. Yet... something about her seems to... draw your attention to her. Perhaps its the sparkle in her eye as she laughs at a good joke. Or maybe it's the skin of wine you just drank....

Personality: Ani is a high-spirited girl and almost always has a smile on her face. She's quick to laugh and turn anything into a joke, even something about herself. She's a fun girl and loves to see others having fun too.

History: Anieka was raised at a small Hold beholden to Ista Weyr. While part of a large family, she was very much attached to one of her older brothers, Khalon. Khalon often spoke of becoming a dragonrider one day and of course he'd take his favorite little sister along with him!

When a Searchdragon appeared, Anieka was a bit apprehensive, afraid that her older brother would be Searched and that they wouldn't allow her to come with him. As it turned out, her brother was not Searched, but she was. Surprised at this turn of events, Ani tried to refuse, but her brother wouldn't hear of it. He practically packed her bag and shoved her onto the dragon himself. His own dreams of being a dragonrider had been shattered, but his sister could live those dreams for him.

Anieka even tried to talk the dragonrider into letting her brother come live at the Weyr as well, but Khalon refused, saying that his place was at the Hold. Tearfully, Ani parted from her brother to join Ista Weyr.

Weyrlife came as a shock to the shy Holder girl. But she slowly grew used to the life, helped along by the fact that she was always busy with chores and tasks and classes. The Hatching seemed to take a while in coming, but by the time it came, Anieka had settled into her new life fairly well.

At the Hatching, Ani stood with the other females, all watching the gold egg for signs of life. Yet, before the gold could hatch from her shell, a green hatchling splattered with large dark green splotches Impressed to Anieka, driving all thoughts of the gold hatchling out of the girl's head. From the moment the hatchling Impressed, she was full of questions.

DRAGON INFORMATION

Name: Rieundoth
Color: Green

Physical Description: A lightish green with dark green splotches covering her body. Rieundoth is one of the smaller greens and quick on the wing.

Personality: Rieundoth likes to question everything. She's a curious dragon and has been since she hatched. She tends to ask about everything from "Why do I have to sleep now?" to "Why is the sky blue?" to "Why can't I eat another herdbeast?".

Rieundoth's unending curiousity is often the cause of Anieka's laughter. The green seems to have a habit of asking the wrong question at the wrong time.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: K'sov
Age: 32
Sex: Male
Orientation: Homosexual
Rank: Wingrider
Physical Description: K'sov has been around the Weyr for a long time, and has the scars to show just how charming his personality is. With a very crooked nose, a deep line under his left eye and a matching scar over his right, K'sov is fairly intimidating. He prefers to keep his hair closely cropped, since otherwise it gets in the way in a scrap, and frequently wears a scowl, though not for any reason in particular. He typically wears basic trousers and a plain khaki shirt, though they often are in some disrepair from a recent fight. He doesn't want anyone to know it, but he does sow those knife cuts closed himself, which is probably why the stitches are so crooked. He is also a fan of simply wearing his riding leathers around the Weyr, since it makes him look more impressive.
Personality: As is apparent from his scars, K'sov doesn't make friends all that easily. He is gruff and to the point, not caring much for anyone's feelings. It has been some time before he has really been close to anyone besides his dear Phiroth and it seems that, now at least, he prefers it that way. There are rumors that he had had relations on a regular basis in a previous decade, but what caused him to cease such activities is not something one should ask, if they like their face the way it is, that is.
History: Kisov was born to Ista Weyr and quickly gained himself a reputation which keeps him out of the kitchens and often strapped with chores. Spending most of his childhood rushing through chores and then running off to hidden tunnels and wild places. The boy was never pleased with the increased crowding, since it usually meant more chores for him and fewer places to have some privacy of his own. When he hit adolescence, his annoyance with over crowding soon brought out his temper and he started fighting. This only added to Kisov's frequent problems with the Weyr authorities, but it also gave him something new to do during his free time. Between plenty of opportunities to practice his scrapping and using all his free time to perfect his technique, Kisov quickly became known as a legitimate fighter. Despite his propensity for misbehaving, he was allowed to stand, but failed to impress. After standing twice more, Kisov started to lose hope, but it seemed that it was only a matter of time, because on his fourth time standing, Phiroth emerged and happily claimed his lifemate. Since then, K'sov has led a typical dragonrider life of fighting and training, anxiously awaiting for a chance to truly prove himself. Because of his habit of fighting, K'sov knows that he has little chance of moving up in rank, but he cares little about such things and prefers more time to spend with Phiroth and practicing his fighting.
Other/Talents: A talented fighter, but otherwise nothing.
Picture: Don't have one sad

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Phiroth
Color: Blue
Physical Description: Phiroth is a bit large for a blue, but it isn't easy to see this unless he is standing next to another, more average sized, blue. His body is well proportioned, and his muscles are well-developed because of K'sov's enthusiasm for extra training. His hide is a deep royal blue, though it darkens at his feet to a navy.
Personality: Compared to his rider, Phiroth seems quite kind. It is often said that dragons complete their riders' rather than mimic them, and Phiroth and K'sov couldn't be more perfectly matched. When K'sov's temper flares, it is Phiroth's voice in his mind that keeps him from doing anything stupid. Phiroth is far more sensible that his rider, and much prefers to speak with other dragons to settle his rider's conflicts than allow his rider to settle them with his fists. That being said, when even Phiroth has decided that a young rider needs a lesson taught, K'sov gladly follows his dragon's advice. The pair of them often have fairly amusing conversations though, and when K'sov mind speaks with Phiroth, he is rarely subtle about it.
Other: While this riding pair are getting on in the years, both are healthy and strong, and K'sov always prefers to think of his years as good experience, and he is quite determined to fight Thread before his time is through.

INFORMATION
Name: F’sey (Formally Feseyander)
Age: 41
Sex: Male
Orientation: Not interested. ( He prefers males, but he‘s Not Looking. )
Rank: Weyrlingmaster
Physical Description: F’sey is a smaller man, standing a few inches below most men. He’s not only shorter, he’s lithe, whip-cord lean. He’s not skinny, he’s just not a well-built man, either. His hair is a deep reddish-brown and shaggy, though the rest of him is well kempt. (It’s been a really bad day if he’s got some facial fuzz going on.) His facial features are sharp, his eyes are a dull green and his face is always set in a scowl. He does not give off a friendly aura, and that’s the way he likes it.

Personality: F’sey is a force to be reckoned with. He’s angry, stand-offish and does not like people in his personal space bubble. He really does not like people in his space bubble. The man just doesn’t want to be bothered with other peoples’ woes; he finds almost everything anyone could complain about petty and insignificant. The only people F’sey is decent with are the Weyrfolk he grew up with and his Weyrlings (past and present, both).

This is not to say F’sey is vain, because he isn’t. He doesn’t consider himself more important than any other rider and doesn’t spend a great deal of time on his physical appearance. Yes, he is proud, he is very proud, but he doesn’t place himself on a pedestal. Complainers and whiners ruffle his feathers because they are just making words, and as far as F’sey is concerned, action is the only course to take when something is wrong. He is a leader, as far as personalities are concerned, even if his dragon’s not a bronze or a brown.

As far as the Weyrlings are concerned, F’sey is much more careful with the youth of the Weyr. They are his pride and joy, even if the eggs were lain by someone else and, eventually, they will grow up to ride in someone else’s wing. ( He will never admit this out loud, not to anyone.) F’sey considers the Weyrlings an extension of himself. He has been around for a while and he feels like he has heard enough, witnessed enough, and lived through enough to be able to teach what needs to be taught. He is proud and demands respect to those he imparts wisdom upon, but as long as someone is honestly trying, he cannot fault them in that.

While it may be a lost cause, F’sey does try to impress his own personal guideline (actions speak louder than words) upon the Weyrlings while he still has them. He only has them for a limited time and there are only so many things he can teach them it that time. He needs to teach them how to survive and help Pern survive, most importantly, but far be it from him to leave it at that. There are so many other things he could offer advice on, if only they asked questions. F’sey loves questions. Well, to clarify, he loves intelligent questions. Asking F’sey how to oil your dragon because you were to busy flirting with that handsome bronze standing beside you after he explained it for the third time is a very easy way to get him to yell.

And thus, we approach the tricky territory known as F’sey’s patience. He has the experience and the sense, but patience? The man has no tolerance for idiocy. He’s exceptionally critical of adults, especially those in charge of others, but when he comes to his Weyrlings, he finds himself a little more relaxed. ( As far as F’sey is concerned, they are his from the moment their dragons hatch until the moment they are assigned a wing. ) As stated before, as long as someone is trying, F’sey cannot fault them for that. When someone puts themselves, their dragon, or others at risk? Batten down the hatches, folks, because someone is about to get one hell of a tongue-lashing. F’sey cannot stand stupidity, especially when someone’s well-being (mental or physical) is put at stake.

History: Feseyander, like so many before him, and so many after him, was born to a young rider and love-struck drudge. Neither had time to raise a small child, so Feseyander was raised by the Headwoman with all the other Weyrbrats. Early childhood proved to be nothing exciting.

As he grew, Feseyander started to prove to be a complete terrorist as a child. He was a bully, for the long and short of it. Smaller than the other boys, he felt he had to make it up in toughness. He had his fair share of black eyes, busted lips and broken fingers, all accompanied by a very stern talking-to from the Headwoman. He relaxed a little when he hit the teen years, thought it didn’t stop the occasional feud from boiling over into a fist fight.

Feseyander was Searched a little later than most and stood twice before he Impressed green Ialluth at age nineteen. It was very quickly established that dragon riders are not allowed to fight amongst themselves and F’sey’s rivalries were reduced to sharp words and nasty pranks. Of course, the Weyrlingmaster had something to say about those too, and F’sey’s quest to become the lord of the Weyrlings (think king of the hill) was quickly squashed. He had to settle for ‘that bitchy greenrider you don’t want to tangle with’.

F’sey’s life continued without any major events for another few Turns, until a rather fancy blue caught his Ialluth. F’sey met X’doc, an impossible man with a sharp wit and a charming grin, and inevitably, he was tamed by pretty blue eyes and a winning personality. It took a while, but the pair became mates, and his blue Hesoth was the only one who flew Ialluth. Well, that was, until an accident took X’doc from Pern. X’doc was never known for his good habits and it would not be a stretch to say he did not oil his harness as often as he should. During a Search flight, X’doc was bringing some prospective candidates to the Weyr. Heading back to the Hold, the harness finally gave while Hesoth was landing and X’doc fell to his death. Hesoth jumped between and was never seen again.

F’sey has not taken a mate since (not one for keeps, he can’t help what Ialluth does when she Rises), even though it has been well over ten turns since the accident. He doesn’t speak of it and does not speak of X’doc unless the man is brought up by someone else. F’sey never made a big deal out of it, leaving some to wonder if he even cared. F’sey was never very public with any emotion other than anger, however, so it would be hard to guess. He only became a Weyrlingmaster five Turns ago, but the man heartily enjoys the job (even though he’d never admit that). It goes without saying he hasn’t had to deal with a blooding yet, but once Thread falls, F’sey is quite sure he and his Weyrlings will be ready for it.

Pets: F’sey has two fire lizards, blue Cloud and bronze(?) Song. Both flits were appropriately named, Cloud is an air-head and often needs to be herded back by Song. Song, the older of the pair, is a very vocal fire lizard, often chittering and chirping from his place on F’sey’s shoulder.

Other/Talents: Do not touch F’sey if you like your hand where it is. :3

Picture: Not yet. :<

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Ialluth
Color: Green
Physical Description: Ialluth is a very small green, well-suited to twisting and turning in the skies. She’s a very mottled green, like the canopy of a forest. Ialluth is always clean, she likes to be proud of how she looks and F’sey hardily agrees with that sentiment. A lovely dragon like herself should look her best!
Personality: You know what they say, opposites attract! Ialluth is a very bright beast, slow to action and slow to anger. She’d much rather think it over before she leaps. She knows Hers and his temper and does her best to keep him from getting into sticky situations where she knows his temper will flare. She’s an incredibly social dragon and loves to be with any dragon at all, despite the fact she’s smaller than just about everyone. Incredibly positive, there is very little that keeps Ialluth down.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: Jevasi
Age: mid to late twenties
Sex: female
Orientation: heterosexual
Rank: wingrider

Physical Description: She is of average height, built wiry and strong. Her hair is an auburn mess, cut short and wild. She often uses a wide headband across her forehead at her hairline to keep it out of her eyes. Her eyes are bright green, with a constant mischievious twinkle in them, even during serious work. Her mouth is wide and constantly smiling. She has numerous freckles scattered across her cheeks and nose. Her clothing is often rumpled and haphazard. It isn't uncommon for her hands (and sometimes face or hair) to be smeared with grease.

Personality: Jevasi is her own person. This doesn't mena she's a rebel, really, but just that she does what she wants, regardless of what others think of it. She is rather rowdy and rambunctious, preferring joshing with the guys to discussing domestic affairs with women. She loves little ones, but tends to be an enthusiastic playmate instead of being motherly. She is often seen running pellmell down the hallways with a child on her back, giving them a ride on a 'dragon'.

Her rough-housing and unrefined manner tends to make her seem very boyish. As such, she often doesn't socialize with females much. She generally feels she doesn't have very much in common with them, but there are certainly exceptions. Truthfully, though she is unlikely to admit this, she feels awkward and at a loss around women that are not as rough-and-tumble as she, especially if they are her peer or older. She feels slightly intimidated because she doesn't really know how to be domestic or outright feminine. Needless to say, this means she steers clear of the golds and their riders if she can help it, though she feels no disrespect for them.

Jevasi is very hard working, and doesn't mind dirty jobs. Even the most distasteful tasks, if a volunteer is asked for, she'll be there with willing hands. She pulls her weight cheerfully in whatever needs doing.

History: Both of Jevasi's parents were metalsmiths, working to try and find current mimics or solutions to match those of their ancestors. She grew up amidst bits of metal, the roar of forges, and containers of grease. She had little to no time doing anything typical for girls her age, whether it was playing with dolls as a toddler or dressing pretty for Gathers as a pre-teen. She dutifully learned her lessons and was quite contented to follow in her parents footseteps, working with metals to create new wonders. She was allowed to generally run wild amonst the metalsmith workshops and forges. She learned by watching not only her parents but all the other smiths as well. To her, metalwork was and still is fascinating.

Clearly, there were other plans for her. It was quite a shock to everyone when she was chosen during a Search. But rather than dismay, her parents met the news with delight. They sent her off to the Weyr with a new set of tools and a pot of grease. Becoming a dragonrider was a wonderful thing, but it didn't change the essence of who she was. Her dragon accepted her whole-heartedly, despite their own personality differences, and that was all Jevasi needed to be happy. She still flies home from time to time to peer at and tinker with whatever her father is fabricating, or to lend a hand doing the menial tasks with the apprentices. Her parents are terribly proud of her, and she is equally proud of them.

Pets: none

Other/Talents: Jevasi is a born greasemonkey. She loves to fiddle and tinker with small mechanical things. Usually she's capable of fixing something that isn't quite working right, so long as it's a simple problem. Beware, though... sometimes she gets too intrigued for her own good, and has been known to break rather than fix something, due to meddling with it in hopes of making it better. Perhaps it was a good thing she never went into becoming a metalsmith!

Picture: none

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Meridoth
Color: green
Physical Description: She is a deep, rich green. A brighter, paler green runs in a mottled pattern down her crest, up her wingfronts, down across her haunches (aiming towards her toes, but not reaching them at all), and then tapers off across the top of her tail. A slightly darker green tips the edges of her toes, her wingfingers, and her headknobs.

Personality: Meridoth is just slightly smaller than average, though not by much. She is quick and graceful in flight, and very fastidious. Her hide must be oiled just so,, her claws must be trimmed just so, and so on. She is flirty with the boys, whether they be dragon or human, and it very affectionate. She loves to be petted and praised.

Other: Together, Meridoth and Jevasi are quite daring in fighting Thread. There have been times they've been warned for over-exerting themselves too early and thus wasting energy, doing sharp loops and fancy stoops and dives. Both of them love the sensation of flight, but most especially the more wild aerial moves Meridoth is capable of. Because of this, they enjoy their task of catching what the larger dragons miss during Threadfall. For Jevasi, Meridoth is the one female besides her mother that she has felt completely at ease with, and completely accepted by.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: M'gar
Age: 32
Sex: male
Orientation: heterosexual
Rank: wingrider
Physical Description: Tall and strongly built especially in the shoulders and arms. He's average in appearance except for having very blue eyes paired with dark brown hair. At 32 his hair is starting to thin which he hides by keeping his hair slightly longer than most other riders.
Personality: His is more of a support personality and is known to be a good listener. He has a way of being where he is needed. He's always there for his fellow riders and often can be found helping candidates and weyrlings, an unofficial assistant to the weyrlingmaster(s).
History: The middle son of a family of farmcrafters, M'gar, then Madagar, was just one of horde. He was a hard worker and even trained for a short time in the smithcraft though never became an official apprentice. When the searchriders came to the small holding his family was a part of, everyone was surprised that M'gar was among the 3 chosen. When word came that quiet Madagar had been chosen by a bronze they were even more surprised. M'gar continues to keep contact with his family who are proud to have a dragonrider son. He also continues metalworking as a hobby that helps him maintain his appearance.
Pets: none
Other/Talents: His hobby has occassionally turned out a quality piece of jewelry, these usually get sent back to his family but he has a few stashed away for a special lady. Though not unknown to the ladies of the lower caverns M'gar is cautious about relationships. He wouldn't mind his work with the weyrlings or candidates becoming more official, but isn't the type to put himself forward.

Sorry for the length 8D;;.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: Nanieva (Nawhn-nee-ehv-uh) but goes by Nani (Nawhn-ee).
Age: 26-27
Sex: Female
Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingrider, Searchrider, Sweeprider etc -- basically whatever is needed of her at the time.

Physical Description: Standing at 5’3”, she prefers to just add on an extra inch and say that she’s 5’4”… Kind of like how she weighs 125lbs but prefers to deduct five pounds and say she’s 120… Kind of. But in all actuality, with some-what slender hips and broad shoulders, her body is quite trim, but her smooth limbs are lacking in the whole concept of showing the muscle-tone that makes them, giving her physique a more childish look than what she would prefer (she’s a woman, damn it; she would like to look like one). This childish-look is also visible above the shoulders.

With a long, straight and fairly silky mop of ash brown hair, a smooth jaw line and eyes that are light blue like a bird’s, Nani is completely baby-faced, even with the small scar that runs from her ear along her cheek bone. And this, coupled with her child-ish physique and short stature, does NOT help when she’s trying to be her stern and serious self in the faces of her peers…. Or even her dragon for that matter.

So, in attempts to look at least a little more adult, she’s taken to wearing her sleek hair in a high tail and dressing in heeled boots and other form-fitting attire. Her arms are often crossed across her chest and her facial expression is usually in a flat frown, her eyes ever so observant with brows lightly knitted.

Personality:
One word to describe Nani would be SERIOUSLY STERN. . …Ok, so that was two words, but they fit the bill more accurately than just STERN. STERN STERN STERN… AND SERIOUS.

A woman who almost always seems a bit sharp and cold, she takes no nonsense and is quick to reprimand others who may be dicking about in a serious situation, or at least any situation that SHE deems serious, anyways. And while her looks may not always help her much in said situations, one cannot help but to give at least some props to her extreme stubbornness and sticking to her guns in trying to shut a joker up, even while he is all just fits and giggles. But even with such a serious disposition and mentality, and though she was a leader as a child and often cowed others into doing things, she is not actually a bully and doesn’t try to be a leader; she is content with following others, and along with the responsibilities that come with being a rider, she simply strives to be a good example for younger generations (and occasional adults) to follow.

She isn’t a complete wet blanket, though. The cold air she exudes isn’t necessarily some sort of façade to hide inner turmoil and grudges, for she doesn’t have any serious ones to fuel on, it’s just a hardened shell that has been built up after many years. It was purposely put there, by her own will, and it’s either she has forgotten how to take it down or she just doesn’t want to. Whatever the reason may be, she will most likely always been icy, but it doesn’t mean she isn’t human.

Nani is a woman of many subtleties when she isn’t scolding others, and she often lets body language express her calmer feelings instead of using words. She can, and will, talk civilly with most people, and will carry on conversations and occasionally even enjoy doing so. But she can be private with her thoughts, and so she often only replies with what’s necessary. She talks this way to everyone, sometimes even to her Green, Fiornith, and her superiors may have a hard time at getting the full idea of her opinions.

So far, Nani has been described as someone who is stern, serious, cold, terse and hard to get at and understand, but she has redeeming qualities. For one, she is an extremely loyal individual, and the level of this loyalty can be described as uncanny and even crazy. It’s hard for someone to obtain, but once someone has it, it’s most likely theirs forever, come what may – it will always be there, even if it is no longer wanted, needed, or deserved. Nani is also, believe it or not, rather optimistic, and usually sees the glass half full rather than empty, and that a new day will come and that things won’t stay bad forever. … But she does believe that one has to work to make these things happen. And working… well, that’s something that Nani has done all her life and she has quite the strong sense of it.

Now the outer layer has been explained, and the middle layer too, but what about the inner layer? The core of her being – drives, motivation, loves; what makes her melt and glow. Probably the primary answer to that is Fiornith. Since Impressing her, and thus fulfilling her life’s goal up to that point, the silly Green is now her main drive, motivation, love and what makes Nani glow (that, and children age one and under… but that’s not the topic at the moment). Fiornith is the being that makes Nani give the occasional laugh; the occasional smile; the occasional sudden jump of her heart. Nani will at times reprimand Fiornith, but she lets her get away with a lot of antics and shenanigans that would usually get any other being a swift bark. She lets her dragon see the old side of her, the past and young side of her that others never see.

History: Born in a northern, coastal hold, Nani was technically orphaned at birth, right there in her own “home.” She had been found by one of the head-cooks, swaddled on the stairs and screaming her head off with no mother or father in sight, let alone any idea as to why she had been ousted in the first place. The woman-cook took pity on the child, and as soon as she picked her up, the crying stopped and the babe became content to just stare about from her new vantage point. At that instant, the cook took her in as her own, named her Nanieva and imagined her as being an easy child. ….But ooohh how wrong she was.

Nani was a complete and utter terror from the moment she could run and express cognitive thoughts. And when she turned three and learned of dragons and riders, all hell broke loose in the hold, and all she prattled on about was how she was going to be a dragonrider, or how she was even an actual dragon. With her enthusiasm, she eventually got other children into her imaginary games and would have bands of kids running amok in the store rooms and hallways as they fought Thread and saved Pern, jumping off of tables and benches and waving spoons or spewing water from their mouths as if breathing fire. Of the many children she played with, there was one boy named K’nan, who eventually learned to share Nani’s full enthusiasm, and together they made a promise that they would both become dragonriders.

The two were inseparable, but the relationship was of much disdain to K’nan’s mother and she often tried to keep her son away from the girl, shrieking that her son would be some great master of a craft like his own father and that he had no time for games. But Nani was stubborn and pushy, and would often cow her timid friend into breaking rules to run off and play.

It was when they were seven did Nani’s world and self make a one-eighty. The pair was playing Dragons around some boulders outside of the hold. With K’nan atop a boulder and Nani down below, she called up to her friend, telling him to jump and fly down – they were dragons after all . Believing all that Nani said and that he would actually fly, K’nan jumped… and well… didn’t fly. He fell, actually, like a ton of potatoes and landed with a thud and a crunch on the grass.

Two hours later, a broken arm, a lashing and a harsh speech from her mother, Nani was punished, the pair was split up forever and K’nan was bitter at his now ex- friend for having him believe that he could fly and be a rider. But Nani was as stubborn as an a** and every reprimand to her actions only made her more adamant of becoming what she so longed to be. She promised that she would be a dragonrider for both her AND K’nan, her loyalty still with her friend even though his was not with her.

The Boulder Incident was probably the major turning point for Nani and played the biggest hand in shaping her current personality. It was after that event when she became so serious and stern. Play-time was annexed out of her agenda and all she did was work and work and work, believing and hoping that that would help her to goal. She stopped pretending to be a dragon, she stopped jumping from tables and swaying around spoons; she did her chores and whatever other work she was given; she talked less, thought more, and told others that they should do the same. Things were hard, she ached and even cried, but she always looked to each new day.For years she did this, learning and listening and keeping with her stern and serious mentality.

When she was 13, she beat whatever odds that had been against her, and a rider came to her hold and she was Searched along with two other boys, none of which were K’nan. She did see him, though, her friend from those years ago, watching her leave from a window in the hold. She saw him and saluted, and much to her surprise, he returned the gesture. She never saw him again, but still believes he made it somehow, though she has never heard his name amongst other Weyrs or Holds.
When she arrived at Ista Weyr, she kept with her previous mentality and perhaps became even more serious – icy and sharp. She listened and committed everything she was taught and told about Impressing and dragons to mind. She thought she was ready, totally prepared, but on that first Impression when she just turned 14, she felt like she was going to gag. She held her own, though, but failed to Impress. This same situation went on for another three years until that one fateful day when her life… was completed.

Standing on the steaming sands, her eyes were as wide as the eggs and her heart felt like it was vibrating faster than the walls. She felt the familiar flipping of her stomach as she nervously gazed around at the others dressed in white, and at the dragons humming, the Queen Gold staring. She heard some girls whimper and clutch at each other, others cried openly. Nani was past crying, past visibly shaking. She plucked at her white shift, but dropped her hands as if she had touched a hot skillet when the eggs began to crack.

The shrieks of other girls and even of boys grew louder and the dragons’ humming crescendo overtook the site. Chips of shell as wide as windows broke off of eggs here and there and fell to the sands with tinkling splashes. Contenders began to Impress one by one as dragonets emerged and wiggled flimsy, satin wings. Nani saw none and heard none of this, however, as she stood still in the heat. She watched as an egg in front of her shook, cracked and exposed the steaming bauble-head of a Green. A gasp caught in Nani’s throat and she coughed. The Dragonet turned her head sharply and tumbled out of her egg, limbs wobbly and unsure. They gained strength quickly, though, and as the dragonet got to her feet and lifted her candy-green face, large eyes met Nani’s own and something clicked.

The dragonet got out her name, “Fiornith,” before Nani completely gushed out her 17 year life’s story, her trials, her stubbornness, her love, her drive. The Dragonet was completely taken aback, but regained herself quickly and simply asked, “Well, did you make it?” to which Nani, with a face full of tears, nodded her head and said, “Yes, I believe so.”
Pets: None

Other/Talents: Secret-keeping, loyalty… a lack of a real sense of humor outside of some shenanigans that Fiornith walks her into.

Picture: D: None, sadly.

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Fiornith
Color: Green
Physical Description: Medium sized when it comes to weight and height, Fiornith likes to add some feet here and deduct some weight there, much in the same fashion as her rider. But, unlike Nani, Fiornith is not baby-faced, but she is practically lime-green in that area, and the same goes for her stomach and chest.

Primarily a dark forest-green, Fiornith’s stomach, chest, and under-tail express a gradient to a candy-apple green color, which is quite flashy is the sunlight. Her face is the same, the forest-green going to the candy-green at her muzzle. She also has lighter green splotches that go from her neck, down her back and onto her tail, as well as up from each fore-leg to the middle joint in each wing. The larger splotches have candy-green detailing, the position of the detailing sweeping up from her fore-legs to her wings, and sweeping down from her neck to her tail. Her claws (both feet and wings) are also a similar candy-green. It’s pretty pimp.

Personality:
Spontaneous, sarcastic and a little vain, Fiornith has some attitude and enjoys throwing catty quips into otherwise serious situations or conversations. She is prone to random acts, and likes to show off a bit, so she will often perform superfluous flight actions despite her rider’s reprimands on the subject. She takes the scolding lightly, though, and often succeeds in dispelling Nani’s anger with a sudden, comical remark. That’s her main goal – to get her rider to laugh and smile at least once a day – and so she strives to accomplish with great fervor. She is incredibly loyal to Nani – as all dragons are with their riders – and she will back up her rider come whatever may, and if she isn’t in a tizzy herself, she will do her best to try and cheer Nani up if some argument has gotten her angry or down.

Fiornith is prone to her own fits, though, and there are times when she will whine and outright refuse to do something, much like how a child would. She can throw some nasty remarks and can be an outright brat, and even if she’s down, she doesn’t like to be coddled (preferring to do that to others and not have it done to her). So Nani will usually let her go through it on her own, and when the time is right, she always comes back around without persuasion.

Other: While she usually acts like either a pain or a sarcastic clown, Fiornith does know when to become serious, and she does all she can to protect her rider, her fellow dragons, and Pern itself.

This pair keeps each other's "subordinate" sides of their personalities alive, meaning that Fiornith brings down Nani's seriousness and gets her to open her shell a little, and Nani grounds Fiornith's childish ways and brings out her more own more serious side a bit.

Oh, Fiornith ref picture 8D.

Edit:
Note: Now, I don't know if this is possible, but, if a heterosexual woman can Impress a Brown, and you think that Nani's personality and whatever else are better suited for a Brown, then go right on ahead and place her as having Impressed a Brown/as a Brown rider. I would keep the name, but I would most likely change around the dragon personality, though, if this happened.

RIDER INFORMATION

Name: T’pin (Typin)

Age: 31

Sex: female

Orientation: Heterosexual, but is comfortable with any dragon mating partners

Rank: Wingrider/Messenger

Physical Description: 5' 5", average build, shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes; She is most comfortable wearing slacks and tunics, but is easily comfortable in skirts and dress when the occasion arises.

Personality: T'pin has a positive attitude and is always willing to help out. She believes in never giving up. If you have a dream and keep working towards it, you'll succeed. If you don't believe her, she'll tell you the story of how she impressed a dragon because she never gave up. It's a story that many have heard.. several times. She's very proud of her dragon and always explains away her dragon's faults.

History: T'pin was born in the Weyr. Her mother was a dragonrider. Most female dragonriders know how to avoid carrying a pregnancy to full term. T'pin's mother had taken ill and wasn't able to fly. When she was able to fly again, she realized she was pregnant and it was too late to abort. The baby was given the women in the lower caverns to foster. T'pin and her mother had a loving relationship until she died in an accident when T'Pin was about 15 turns old. T'pin admired her mother and wanted to be a dragonrider just like her. She was sure she'd impress on her first opportunity to stand on the sands, but was greatly disappointed. After several chances on the sands and still not being chosen by a dragonet, she resigned herself to working in the lower caverns. She fostered under the cook and became quite adept at creating new recipes. T'pin never gave up her dream of becoming a dragonrider like her mother, so she continued to take every opportunity to be a candidate.

T'pin's father is a dragonrider from another Weyr. She knows of him, but has never met him. Her mother told her they'd met at a Gather, but never formed a lasting relationship. T'Pin has come to learn that her father is a very friendly, charming fellow and 'meets' a lot of women. More than once she's run across half-sibling at holds, other Weyrs and gathers.

When green Kimeth chose T'pin at a hatching, she could hardly believe her luck. While some of her friends were disappointed that she'd impressed a mere green, to T'Pin she felt as if she'd impressed the queen.

Pets: Blue firelizard named Pekoe - received the egg as a gift from her mother, when after several tries, T'Pin failed to impress a dragon. T'Pin's mother died a few months later, making the gift that much more special to her.

Other/Talents: She has a knack for creating something new and different tasting out of the same old recipes. In her idle time, she makes necklaces from found objects like beads, shells, dried bone, old leather strips, hemp, etc.

DRAGON INFORMATION

Name: Kimeth

Color: varying shades of aqua green (00CC99, 009966)

Physical Description: Kimeth is an averaged sized green. She never seemed to grow out of the gangley, clumsy teenage stage.

Personality: Kimeth has a carefree type personality. She has a tendency to forget her size and will follow T'Pin's pet fire lizard, Pekoe. This can cause problems when Pekoe flies into the lower caverns looking for T'Pin. Kimeth is easily distracted. She gets bored quickly with long training drills. When not required to be in the Weyr for training, Kimeth and P'tin usually get picked for messenger errands which seems to suit Kimeth's curious nature.

((I’m not sure if the Pass has actually begun yet, but I’ve written this profile to include how the characters (will) act during Threadfall.))

RIDER INFORMATION

Name: C’lyr (pronounced “clear” or “keh-leer”)
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingrider
Physical Description: C’lyr has a friendly, solid face framed by a wavy spill of blonde hair. With thick-lashed eyes of blue velvet and a prominent smile, he rarely fails to put others at ease. He is just under six feet tall, and built slim with skin that has been tanned from much time outdoors. Where his body used to be thin and flabby, it is now handsomely toned from working with his dragon, Syanth. He still carries two scars from their first meeting—one down the length of his inner left leg below the knee, and one across his left palm from when he reached out to steady the ugly little bundle of wings and legs that struggled at his feet.

Personality: C’lyr is one of those people who seem inexplicably content no matter what the situation may be. His inexorable calm can be construed as mysterious or even exasperating at times, but it is effective in an emergency and a life preserver to Syanth. This rider can occasionally be driven to outward displays of anger, but it takes an awful lot to get that kind of rise out of him. During Threadfall, the effects of adrenaline and the thrill of cheating death knock out many of his usual reservations, giving way to much laughter and playfulness after (and sometimes during) a wave.

When dealing with his ambitious dragon, C’lyr’s role is mainly damage control. While he can stop Syanth from biting off more than he can chew, he finds that it’s not worth the effort, except when the beast’s actions would cause real trouble. The dragon’s moaning and groaning after a loss in a game are far more pleasant to hear than long hours of his vocal and mental bellowing, insisting on his own superiority. The rider often wonders why Syanth puts such pressure on himself when he fails more often than not, but there are things about some dragons that just can’t be changed.

When he and Syanth attend mating flights, C’lyr does his best to encourage his dragon and spur him on to victory. As a rule, he doesn’t attend for the “benefits” of a flight, but he is an exceptionally accommodating lover. It’s practice for his future weyrmate—at least, that’s what he’ll admit if questioned. However, this behavior could very well be the result of his habit of doting on Syanth, transferred to humans.

While C’lyr is generally thought of as “the nice fellow with the loud dragon,” and a “pleasant bedmate” to the female sect, that’s about all he’s known for in the Weyr. He has adjusted to this lifestyle, one so different from that at his birthplace, but his quiet demeanor and preoccupation with Syanth have given him little opportunity to get particularly close to anyone.

To anti-dragon folk, he is an absolute menace. He takes pleasure in his ability to infuriate them by completely ignoring even the worst of veiled insults. He has an eternally-smiling poker face that he saves for such occasions (and for card games, if the stakes are right). He rarely engages in actual confrontations, though, and is careful not to “endear” himself to any Holder whose hospitality he will be needing.

History: C’lyr, formerly Carolyr, grew up at Nerat Hold. He worked with fish, of course, and also went to the regular classes taught by the resident Master Harper. As time went by, his dedication to assigned tasks and excellent recall of lessons caught the Harper's eye, and he was made an apprentice. His singing ability wasn’t anything notable, so he learned a bit on the pipes to cover the musical aspect of things. It was decent work, and his parents approved, but it wasn't entirely fulfilling. It was, however, better than constantly smelling of fish. The boy plugged away at his lessons, always smiling and willing to do what was asked of him.

When Carolyr was nineteen Turns old, the dragonmen came to Nerat and he was Searched. He paused to consider his apprenticeship, but honestly, music wasn’t that exciting… just better than fish. And Ista Weyr was certainly no fishing hold. And, if he could be of real use there, that was really all he needed. He humbly terminated his Harper education and informed the Search riders of his acceptance. He was then taken to Ista to attend his first Hatching.

To his dismay, he was left standing on the Sands with nothing to show, making him second guess his latest career choice. After much deliberation, he decided to remain at the Weyr after hearing about other candidates who’d seen five or more Turns’ worth of Hatchings before they Impressed. It was a good move: Carolyr Impressed bronze Syanth at the very next Hatching. He’d thought the scary, shambling, limp-winged baby was trying to get to someone beyond when it flailed at him, cutting deeply into his left leg, but all the confusion and fear went away when its querulous voice entered his mind. You, it cried, I want you!

In their new life together as werylings, C’lyr and Syanth were strictly a by-the-book pair. Syanth, competitive by nature, was quite willing to take up other weyrling pairs’ dares to do things that were against the rules, but C’lyr was able to curb him and channel his ambition into more productive pastimes. They have since completed their training and are now part of a fighting wing.

Pets: Two firelizards: Blue Ixon and gold Oria, their eggs won in card games at two different Gathers. They are about one Turn apart in age, Ixon being the elder.
Other/Talents: C’lyr can cook a mean fish dinner and make nets of varying sizes. He has basic piping skills from his short-lived Harper apprenticeship, but at present he will only play the tambourine.

DRAGON INFORMATION

Name: Syanth
Color: Bronze
Physical Description: With a size to shame most others of his color, Syanth cuts an imposing figure. His muscles, however, are quite bulky, to the point of noticeably diminishing his agility, both on land and in the air. His hide is a rich brandy color, fading to darker shades of near-brown in the extremities and wingsails. His neckridges and talons are the darkest parts of him. He has dapples along the sides of his neck, shoulders, rump, and tail. Lastly, there is a dark blaze on his face which extends to his headknobs and around his muzzle. –Reference– (Note: This coloration can be altered if needs be to be acceptable for a bronze.)
Personality: Syanth may be a big, unwieldy dragon, but that fact hasn’t totally sunk in yet. He’s got a wicked competitive streak that leaves his ego needing a lot of nursing in the wake of failure after failure. Luckily, his rider seems to have an endless supply of patience for his numerous bouts of depression. Syanth is quick to like people who compliment him, and is deeply offended if anyone comments on his lesser grace. He wants to fight and can fight Thread as well as the next dragon, though he may need to go between to avoid it more often than others.
Other: He caught a queen once, by sheer dumb luck. She’d turned abruptly to avoid another male and flew smack into Syanth. The resulting clutch did not contain a gold egg, but all the same, he was proud.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: J’ir (JAHANGIR)
Age: 20
Sex: Male
Orientation: Bisexual
Rank: Weyrsinger
Physical Description: He has ear length shaggy cut, and dark brown hair that can often be found over his sea green eyes. He stands at an impressive (snort) 5’4 on a good day but has a habit of bending over some instrument or music that causes him to look even shorter. He has a swimmers body which makes him look more sleek then muscular.
Personality: J’ir is a flirt. He enjoys hitting on just about everyone but can be picky about who he actually does sleep with. He is very patient and caring which allows him to be good at teaching. J’ir is also very trusting and is deeply hurt when others break that trust. Once betrayed, he is slow at forgiving.
History: Jahangir was to be a Harper. Even at a young age he had a way with music and was devoted in learning everything he could. At 13 he became an apprentice harper but would only last a year before he became J’ir during a hatching that he attended. Kotone instantly became his world and he left the life of a harper for that of a Dragon Rider but he never truly gave up on music. So in the process of learning everything there was about being a Dragon Rider, J’ir worked hard and continued his studies with music and proper etiquette to become a Weyrsinger.
Pets: None
Other/Talents: J’ir can pick up almost any instrument and know how to play it within a very short time. He also has next to no Alcohol tolerance.
Picture: (if you have one)

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Kotone
Color: Green
Physical Description: Kotone is 20 feet long and is slimmer then many others. She’s also a sea green color (#2E8B57) but her head and the tip of her tail is darker.
Personality: Kotone is very affectionate and loves attention, especially from J’ir. She gets jealous of any females that he hangs around with but has no issues if he is around males. She also loves listening to J’ir play, especially when the songs are about dragons.
Other: She finds firelizards amusing and can sometimes be found with random ones sleeping on her.

Woah, long post is long. Sorry, guys, she's an old OC that I've taken from another weyr. XD;

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: Alcine (pronounced AL-kin)
Age: 24
Sex: Female
Orientation: Bisexual (Though she'll swear by Faranth she only likes men)
Rank: Wingsecond
Physical Description: Tall and lithe, Alcine was once quite the clumsy little weyrbrat, but since then she's adjusted herself rather well, taking long, slow strides whenever she walks. Despite years of work outside, her skin is not as tan as some of her fellow dragonriders, but has exploded into a series of freckles that dot mostly her face and arms, where her skin is most exposed. She keeps her long dirty-blonde hair back with a low braid that reaches halfway down her spine, though when not riding she allows her bangs to frame her angular face and almond-shaped grey eyes. Her clothing is always practical, when not wearing her actual riding clothes, and is almost always in shades of brown, green, or grey. Alcine has never been the type to wear overly flashy or revealing clothing, and coupled with her modest figure, appears rather plain most days. On occasion, she dresses up for Gatherings and such, but usually she's simply too busy, her appearance not taking precendence over dragonly affairs.

Personality: Even though Brassaeuth has forced Alcine to open up to her peers, she is largely an introverted character, preferring her own personal weyr to the open commons. Deep down, she is good-humored, a tad rebellious, and quite the caring person, but has difficulty in showing it, sometimes making her come across as indifferent to those around her. This is quite the contrary: oftentimes she speaks not because she has nothing to say, but rather because she is observing. She loves people-watching, and has come to think of herself as someone who knows a little bit about most everyone, even if she's never been acquainted with more than half of them.

Try to get her to meet some of these people, however, and you remove her from her comfort zone, turning her into an anxious young woman who suddenly remembers something oh so important that only she can attend to. In fact, she often cites work as her excuse for a lack of social interaction, explaining how, over the years, she has gotten hold of the wingsecond rank. Her shyness derives largely from a slight inferiority complex carrying over from childhood, as well her belief that, should someone get to really know her, they would stop liking her as a friend, and, of course, the tendency for her to occasionally crush on another woman does nothing to help her nerves. Never once has she actually acted on these impulses, but the fear that she might keeps her in line in regards to any sort of sexual activity, except with Brassaeuth decides to take chase of a pretty green, in which case, she has no choice, and afterwards is quite embarassed for several weeks following.

History: Alcine herself was born at Ista Weyr, and for the longest time believed that she would handle watchwhers as an adult, just as her father had done. Her mother was a greenrider, but it never occured that Alcine would follow the same path: Raynn, the eldest boy, seemed more suited to the public life of a dragonrider, and somehow it was understood from an early age that Alcine was meant for less glamorous affairs. Their predictions came true when Alcine was 11 and Raynn, 15 at the time, Impressed Blue Tyth. In the meanwhile, Alcine continued to acquaint herself with watchwhers, largely content with her chosen life and promised a wher of her own when she turned her brother's age.

However, tension rose when Alcine turned 14 and was searched by Tyth himself. Her father was convinced that the omen meant only that she would be even better suited for the whers, and her mother outright refused to recognize the choice. Their joint reactions caused Alcine to think that all her life her parents had been playing favorites to R'ynn, and in a daring move, refused to allow a wher to bond to her, forcing her father to kill the unbonded wherling.

After a series of heated arguments in the home of Alcine, her parents reluctantly allowed her two years of Candidacy, more to prove a point than with any expectation of her actually Impressing. The first time she went to the Hatching Sands, she expected to dazzle her parents with a dragonet, asserting herself once and for all, but nothing. A second hatching occured. Again, nothing, and one dragonet actually Betweened itself rather than taking Alcine, who by then was beginning to think that maybe, her parents were right. She almost didn't make it to her third hatching, nearly ditching it to accept her life and Impress a wher. However, when the first brown hatchling stumbled into her, looking down at her with expectant eyes and crooning wildly, Alcine realized that, as it turned out, she was dragonrider material at all.

That isn't to say that earning her Brassaeuth eased her troubles: after the initial shock of her weyrlinghood, her family settled back into its usual routine, despite Alcine's inkling that, for the first time, R'ynn might be jealous of her. The antics of her quickly growing brown got her into quite a bit of trouble during her lessons, though it earned her a friendship in the bronze weyrling of S'kye, who quickly turned into more than a friend in her eyes. Into ridership she remained close with the young man, never admitting her inner feelings out of some professional respect for his assumed rank as Weyrleader. When, a few years later, her prediction became true, she quietly bowed out of her life (much to his dismay) and continued on with hers alone, deciding it was for the best either way.

It was after this point that Alcine threw herself into her work, doing her best to ignore her heightened feelings whenever a Gold or a Green with a female rider wanted to rise. All of the riders were just coworkers to her, and beyond simple pleasantries, she kept to herself with the exception of the occasional male greenrider, who more often than not ended up being gay himself. From the outside, it seemed lonely, but Alcine had Brassaeuth, and she never let herself forget that he was more important than maintaining some ephemeral relationship. Her work-oriented nature helped her rise in ranks until she was offered the wingsecond position in her brother's wing. However, not wanting to make her fading relationship with her brother even worse, she declined, and waited until a second wing offered her the spot.

Pets: Dezzy the Bronze, Impressed to Alcine at 19 to help her with her work, and no-nonsense to the point of being obnoxious, willing to chirp at someone for hours until they agree to focus their sole attention on him.

Other/Talents: Alcine is still fond of the whers, and from time to time will go visit her father to catch up on how things are going with them. Nevertheless, she spends a large portion of her time on keeping Brassaeuth groomed (whether he likes it or not), and therefore is especially practiced in the art of dragon grooming.
Picture: [OLD PICTURE EW EW EW]

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Brassaeuth
Color: Brown
Physical Description: Brassaeuth is light for a brown, a tawny shade of tan that covers nearly entirely his near-bronze sized frame. However, a darker shade of mahogany rises up nearly half-way on his forelimbs, wing-tips, and tail. There seems to be a light series of medium-brown stripes from his lower back to where the mahogany starts on his tail, but these are less noticable, and hard to perceive unless up-close.
Personality: Brassaeuth might not be a metallic, but you wouldn't know it by his personality. To him, everything must be fantastic and grand, and you must have a fantastic and grand time while doing it. Were it not for his more-humble rider, he would certainly be wingleader, if not weyrleader himself!--at least, he would be in his own mind. If something isn't entirely fun enough, he fixes it to his liking, much to the dismay of his rider, and though he has somewhat mellowed with the years, his mischevious nature has never entirely left, especially not in the memories of others.
Other: On his left wing, Brassaeuth is mildly scarred on the bottom flap, an accident earned as a weyrling when attempting to fly before his peers. He himself has caught two Greens in the past, but now largely abstains from joining the chase if he can, if for no other reason than to appease his rider, who becomes frantic only when a Green starts to glow.

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: Layn
Age: 26 Turns
Sex: Female
Orientation: Straight
Rank: Wingrider
Physical Description: Short in stature, flat chested with a thin frame. Tawny hair pulled back into a knot at the nape of her neck. Tan skin, she naturally has a darker complexion. Almond shaped brown eyes.
Personality: Layn has "small woman's complex" because of her stature she feels the need to constantly over compensate for her physical appearance. Her intelligence and wit are apparent; she listens and pays attention to many things around her, a skill picked up while she was trying to learn more about dragons.

When Layn was young she was not above trading the desire of flesh for information. Although she is no longer apart of that world, Layn desires knowledge and will do small errands in order to go to the CraftHall or holds to see what information she can pick up.

Because Layn enjoys fantasizing about what her life might have been like if she had a father figure in it; she feels self-entitled because her father was a rider, the only true fact she has about him. Layn tries very hard to convey an air of importance, and will walk with a cocky strut now and then.

History: Layn is the daughter of a woman who changed Dragonrider's beds faster than most people change clothes, she is unquestioningly born of Weyr blood, but whose blood is the problem. Layn followed in her mother's footsteps and once old enough hopped dragonrider's beds to gain information on dragons and anything dragon related. Layn before impressing worked as a drudge. While a clutch was on the sands, she was promised in the heat of passion, that her lover would make her a candidate. Her ego told her that he saw something in her; intelligence, or something more. Layn knew though that this lover was only making a false promise in the middle of the night. She held him to his word and by some stroke of luck impressed a green, Ireth. Since impressing Layn has tried very hard to overcome her feelings of inadequacy and feelings towards her a father that she will never know. She refuses to bed or be with another man again because of her awkward past. Layn has committed her life completely to Ireth and the Weyr.

Pets: A blue firelizard named Heartbeat, a gift from a well to do former lover.
Other/Talents: (This is my pair from a different Pern shop that I'd like to tweak to fit into this setting)

INFORMATION
Name: N’wir (Nawirin)
Age: 23
Sex: Male
Orientation: Heterosexual
Rank: Wingrider
Physical Description: N’wir is tall and lanky; he’s the beanpole that never filled out! Topping out just over six feet and on the leggy side, it stands to reason that he’s a little klutzy. His face is his best feature, always brimming with boyish charm and a sparkle in dark green eyes. The bandage around the lad’s forehead has nothing to do with injury and everything to do with keeping his messy black hair out of his eyes. It could probably stand for a trim, but he rather likes it with that ‘wild and free’ look. Nwir’s never seen without a face-splitting grin and always has a spring in his step. The young man is always in a hurry.

Personality: N’wir is a man with great aspirations and maybe an ounce too much ambition. Ever since he was little, he knew he wanted to be a dragon rider and nothing comes before his Faluth, now that he’s found him. His goals had to be adjusted once he Impressed and now, N’wir has his sights on becoming the Weyrleader. (He reached his first goal, why not reach higher?) What self-respecting bronze rider hasn’t? It comes in steps, he’ll work his way up the ranks and see it all and N’wir just knows, one day, there will be a Weyr he calls his own.

Impossibly optimistic, N’wir never sees the cloud, only the silver lining. He’ll cheer anyone up if the opportunity presents itself and he isn’t easy to discourage. Once he’s on the job, N’wir is on the job. He’s helpful and pleasant to the point where it’s a little obnoxious. Life isn’t always butterflies and rainbows and when the time arises to be somber and serious, N’wir finds himself out of place and his antics often inappropriate.

N’wir is always willing to show off his valor and determination, often taking bets and dares that he’d be better off avoiding. He rarely takes things personally, even if they are meant as such and the idea someone might actually try to injure him has never crossed his mind. As for these bets, he really doesn’t give up until he’s succeeded. Admitting defeat never even crosses his mind!

He can’t hold his liquor ( he makes a total fool out of himself every time) and he’s no champ at dragon poker, but that doesn’t stop N’wir from joining the fun. What’s life without a little adventure, right?

History: Nawirin, called Na as a child, grew up at Southern Boll Hold living the good life, if we do say so ourselves. His father belonged to Glasscrafthall and his mother kept the home, leaving Na and his older brother to roam the beaches and gather the fruits from the family’s fruit trees. Chores only included taking care of the family trees and honestly, it wasn’t much work for the pair. They often found themselves with time to kill, running off on some adventure somewhere.

The first time Na met a dragon, he was but nine turns old and the bluerider had come on a Search. He only had time to give Na a fleeting hello, but it was love at first sight. It was everything the boy had ever imagined when he was a child, the dragon was breath-taking, his rider was the epitome of everything any self-respecting nine-turn-old boy admired. Since that point, it was his dream to grow up and Impress, though that was not something he could share with his folks. Na’s parents where not fond of dragonmen, feeling they had long since out-grown their use, or, at the very least, there really didn’t need to be so many.

His parents kept him busier, gathering extra fruit and tea leaves in hopes of making a profit off them. ( It was a plan flawed since conception, selling fruit on a very fruity island was not an amazing idea. ) So Na and his brother were taught to brew tea, once again in hopes of making a profit. It failed, but who didn‘t see that coming? At least Na and his brother became rather adept at tea brewing. It was not the kind of talent that would carry him on in life.

Nawirin, however, caught a lucky break. He was Searched when he sixteen turns old and whisked away to Ista Weyr. He only stood once, Impressing his bronze Faluth early in the day. Na had never doubted he would Impress, it was just something he always knew. The lad was so excited to have bonded with Faluth, in fact, he had to be scolded by the Weyrlingmaster three times not to overfed the squalling newborn.

The pair grew together, bonded with each other and made mistakes together. Or rather, N’wir made a fool out of himself and Faluth had to pull His out of trouble. They haven’t made much progress as far as rank is concerned, but N’wir has certainly grown up a little. Or at least, the pair would certainly like to think so!

Pets: Nope! N’wir is all Faluth can handle!

Other/Talents: No talents. Unless you count brewing tea. N‘wir can brew an excellent tea.

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Faluth
Color: Bronze
Physical Description: Faluth is a large dragon, but only slightly larger than the average bronze. He’s built for speed rather than stamina, streamlined as opposed to bulked up. He’s a very lightly colored bronze, he cold almost he called pale, but his torn varies dramatically, fading to a much darker shade around his eyes, muzzle, underside and the length of his tail.
Personality: Faluth is a very strong-willed dragon and is not pleased when something, or someone, sidetracks His from the task at hand. He’s very protective of his rider and will be the first to speak up if he feels N’wir is being put in danger (by himself or others, as it were). He doesn’t approve of N’wir’s willingness to prove himself to anyone and wishes he might pay more attention to the females of the Weyr. Faluth has a hearty respect for the Queens and their riders.
Other: Nope. x3

RIDER INFORMATION
Name: M'Rathi (Martathiel)
Age: 19
Sex: Male
Orientation: Straight
Rank: Weyrsinger
Physical Description: Tall, and thin, M'Rath has long black hair that he keeps in a tail under his riding helmet. He's got pale skin for a rider, and deep green-blue eyes. He has light freckles on his cheeks and a scar on the right one, from accidently getting to close to a wild Firelizard's nest.
Personality: M'Rathi is friendly, happy, and a bit jovial. He loves music, dancing, and the arts. Behind all that, he has a tendency to depression when something happens, like the loss of a friend, or something of that nature. He hides it, but it's there. His hurts run deep, and so does his joy.
History: M'Rathi came from Fort Hold, were he grew up with a Healer Hall mother and a Harper Hall father. He found a talent for music at the age of 7, and began studies to become a harper. He made his way up to Journeyman before he was noticed by a Dragon on Search. He was surprised, and a little dissappointed, for he'd dreamed of becoming Master Harper someday. Nonetheless, when he was Chosen, he was thrilled to pieces. Bonding to Linith was the greatest joy of his life.
Pets: None, though he'd love a firelizard.
Other/Talents: Singing and playing instruments. He's especially able with the flute and the violen.
Picture: N/A as yet.

DRAGON INFORMATION
Name: Linith
Color: Bronze
Physical Description: Lean for a Bronze, he's none the less one of the larger bronzes around. His skin tone is a deep, rich bronze, a goldorange tone that gleams bright in the sun. He seems to have glittery flecks under his skin, in darker, almost brown tone bronzes. He also has 2 bands of the darker brown-bronze on his neck.
Personality: Linith is a bit of a joker, liking to try to startle or surprise his rider when he gets the chance, and sometimes, their friends. Nonetheless, he's devoted to those dragons he is closest to, and, of course, his rider. He just seems to believe that laughter is necessary on a daily basis. He also enjoys music, and would happily sit for hours listening to his rider sing and play.
Other: Not that I can think of.
