At the touch of the white dressed boy, Nes' fingertips grew warmer than before. The feeling didn't last as he was led to the line of people who seemed to also be mesmerized by the colourful images of the dance machine. The other teenagers were very good at the game, no doubt about it. He swallowed hard as he started to feel nervous. What if he wasn't good enough and makes Kiyoshi fail even though he might be good at this game?

He snapped out of his self-doubt as he heard Kiyoshi's voice. "No, no!" He said waving his arms in front of him with his palms out. "I'm not playing with you. We're playing with each other!" He said. There was really no difference, but to Nes, it made a difference as to that it sounded like he was being forced and that the two were on mutual terms. "So there's no need for thanks!" He said as he gave Kiyoshi a thumbs up and a smile.

Nes was excited. There was no doubt about it. His palms sweat slightly partially from his embarrassing words and actions as well as almost being able to play. He reached a hand in his pocket and took out a couple of tokens for a two-player game. He looked up and saw that it was true; the two people before them were almost done their game. It made him even more anxious. He didn't know what song to pick either. He had never tried one of these before and didn't know what to do.

"So... did you have any songs that you wanna play?" He said almost giddily. He was excited and wanted to just jump around as if he were on caffeine and sugar! He wanted their song to end faster. It was as if it were twisting the life out of him with anticipation and wanting to just get on with the video game.

He looked over and saw Kiyoshi counting his tokens as well. He smiled to himself and continued to watch as the two people before them were leading to a dramatic finish. Nes didn't really notice the people around that cooed and stared. He was pretty oblivious with his eyes set on the target and heart unshaken. He watched as the song ended and faded to the scores screen. "It's almost our turn!!" He said excitedly as he watched the people before him step off the elevated stage and walked away, staring and cooing a little with giggles. "YAAAAY!" Nes said as he bounced onto the stage and looked at the coin slot to see how many tokens it was.

"Hmm... 2 tokens for one-player, so 4 tokens!" He said as he placed two of his own tokens into the coin slot. The machine made a 'kerplunk' noise at each coin and the credits appeared on the screen itself. "come on Kiyoshi! Let's get started!" He said, making sure not to press start before Kiyoshi had a chance to put tokens in and make it two player.

Nes stared as he attempted to find the difficulty good for him. He set himself to beginner and hopefully, he could keep up. In a blink of an eye and a blur of colours, the first song was picked. "This one sounds fantastic!" He said happily. He thought that Kiyoshi had a good sense of style in music. "Sure, I'd like that" He said, referring to Kiyoshi's statement about him choosing the song for the next stage. Well, that is if he passed the first stage! He was getting anxious.

He stared as the beginning sequence started and a voice came over before the music began to start. His palms sweat even more now. He hoped that he wasn't as bad to fail on beginner. It would be incredibly embarrassing if he did fail the lowest possible stage there was. He just waited for the arrows to approach and surround him with music as it possibly did the other teenagers before them. He didn't like the staring eyes from behind him. He didn't see them but he could feel them staring. He started to get nervous and wondered if the people before Kiyoshi and himself felt like this before a song started...

Nes tried to step in sync with the music, but he couldn't hit all the notes. He got about two-thirds of the arrows that came up since they weren't fairly hard to hit and were on-beat. He felt a wave of adrenaline pass him by as the song progressed. He started to get more arrows, but not the best out there. He still missed a few here and there when he was too fast for the arrows that flowed up the top of the screen. He felt like he was alive though. As though he could dance to this song forever.

He could hear the cheering from behind and gave a small giggle to himself, making himself mess up a bit, but got back into the groove before his 'health' bar fell down too much. He flailed as he tried to catch up with beats as well as keep his balance.

Nes wiped the sweat off of his forehead with a fingerless gloved hand. "I'm good." He said with a laugh as the scores came up as well as a grade. He was really looking forward for choosing the next song. As well as hoped to choosing a good one for the two of them... The scores came up promptly "That's pretty good, isn't it?" He said as he pointed to the results. He thought they were pretty good for his first time. Even though he had gotten something that if he got in school, Anthony would flip...

"Can I?" He said as he stepped forward and placed his hand right above the start button that would move them onto the net stage. He didn't have to tie his hair up since it was too short to tie up without having it fall out, but Kiyoshi had the longest hair than anyone Nes had ever seen! 'that must be a pain to comb through in the morning.' he thought to himself as Kiyoshi tied his hair up.

Nes laughed as his feet slipped up quite a bit. He always felt as if he were falling forward, yet... not at the same time. He had a fair bit of stamina, so it wasn't too bad for him. All the days running around a park's small trail helped it quite a bit. "That's quite alright. I'm not graceful either." He said with a chuckle. "At least you can keep a good game up!" He said, complementing the other Pocky boy. He took a fingerless gloved hand and wiped the sweat from his forehead and nose, not really knowing if they had one more stage or not with their first game.
