Lucretia got excited at the thought of laser tag, and eagerly explained it to Vyn: "You have a gun, and a vest, and you go around in this dark maze and shoot at the people on the other teams. There are three teams and you can tell who's on what side by the lights on their vests." She curled and uncurled her fingers as she spoke, as though imagining that she was grasping some struggling creature in them.
"The laser is just a special light, though - don't ask me how it works." The Ice Rose girl laughed. "It doesn't really matter, though, because it's just so much fun!" Lucretia was quiet for a moment, then grinned at Vyn and exclaimed, "You should come with me sometime to try it!"
The Porcelain boy seemed to get a bit frustrated, still insisting that he had a father somewhere else, though his projections could not articulately explain where. Something about a hole in the air and exploring.
"We're working on getting him home," the mage explained. "We just not sure how to do that yet." He glanced over at Lucretia and smiled a little. "She has been doing a nice job keeping an eye on the little one in the meantime, though."
Taking another bite of cookie, Xiao Huo perked up a bit and gave off excited feelings that seemed to have to do with Lucretia, but were too jumbled to make much sense.

Lucretia certainly seemed to be getting animated as she explained lazer tag, yet the concept didn't really grip Vyn. Why would she want to shoot people? And going around in the dark with lots of people in a maze didn't sound like her idea of fun either. However, the flashing lights in the darkness would most likely create some unusual shadows and Vyn nodded slowly when the frigid frei suggested that they should play lazer tag together at some point. "It sounds... interesting. I would be willing to give it a go." She responded, before taking her drink and carefully sipping it again, this time draining the cup and releasing a contented sigh. Although it was not necessary for her to drink, shadows seemed to provide adequate nutrition and hydration, the naturalistic tea did hit the spot ((it wasn't damaging to her unlike her love for junk food, the tea was practically hot water with the natural flavour of the tea leaves)).
Noting the frustration of the boy Ethan thought it best not to continue muddling with him. The ideas that were washing over him were becoming increasingly jumbled and complex and he couldn't make head nor tail of what the child was actually trying to explain. However, before Ethan could make further conversation with the unusual family his phone vibrated in his pocket and excusing himself he dug it out, flipping up the deadly thin screen and skim reading the text message he'd received.
Wincing he turned his attention back to Asahi and his adopted children. "My gravest apologises, I'm afraid I'm rather urgently needed elsewhere so I'm going to have to cut our meeting short." He summoned Vyn to his side and gave the small pale skinned child a friendly smile. Maybe we shall meet up again.. What was it that you and Lucretia were discussing." He looked to Vyn but answered himself before she could utter a word. "Lazer tag? Phone me on this number and maybe we can arrange something." He shunted a business card in their direction before turning to leave.
Vyn was slightly shocked by her guardian's sudden need to flee to his job. But she bent to his wishes and moved to leave, but gave the ice-rose raevan a friendly nod before departing... Quite a peculiar scene; a real rose and an ice rose at either end of the room, silent acknowledgement hanging between them.
