Alas frowned as Venera turned and bolted, but she was not surprised, she knew that time would bring her back. Venera was always prone to flairs of dramatics, once she realized that this news didn't change how much she was loved, or her place in the family, in the pack, she would return.
She frowned and moved to step infront of Tempeste and shook her head. "Let her go baby, your sister needs time alone to think this over. You know how she's always been...Come..." She turned and headed back towards the den with Tempeste following.

Tempeste moved to race after her sister with a call "Venera wait!" She jerked to a stop as her mother moved infront of her. She sighed softly and nodded at her mothers words, giving chase would only drive Venera into a state of frenzy, she couldn't be reasoned with in such a state.
She wanted to go to her sister and comfort her, yet she knew that her mother was right there was nothing that could be done at the moment. It was a real pity that Venera took it so hard, she wished she could trade places with her adopted sister, perhaps if Venera had a chance to see her true family she would feel calmer. Tempeste hated the idea of going to see this cruel sea pack, to see what blood ran in her veins. It turned her stomach.
She followed her mother and murmured softly. "I want to go tonight mama, I need to have this over with. I'll be back before papa and aunt Gracia...I promise." She saw the concern in her mothers eyes and smiled reassuringly giving her a nuzzle.

Alas gave a weary sigh and nodded at Tempeste, she knew that her daughters had to go, to find themselves after such a revelation. It was hard to let them go though. She nuzzled Tempeste tenderly and licked her muzzle "You be careful baby...please." She sighed and watched as Tempeste turned and headed towards the sea.
Alas sat alone in the den entrance and hoped that both her girls would come back to her safe and sound. She closed her eyes remembering how they looked, two tiny pups curled around each other in the den. Though she was not their mother, now she suffered a mothers pain, the pain of having to let her babies go.
