“I’m glad you found your music too. I’m glad I found my music. I think that there would be lots of sad lions and lionesses in this pride if nobody could find their music.” She had once been told that there were creatures out on the savannah that did not find their music, and some that could not hear music at all. It was such a strange idea that Jun had found it hard to believe when she was little. How could lions live without music? Apparently they did, but she was convinced that they would have a better life with their music. Kani was a perfect example of that.
“Much better.” Jun slipped the necklace over his bushy mane and tugged it down so it hung around his neck. “There. Perfect! Why don’t you go have a look at yourself in the lake and tell me if you like it. You don’t have to keep it if you don’t like it, but you gotta at least see it first.” She thought it looked nice on him, but it would be up to him if he wanted to keep it. Sometimes artists weren’t appreciated. It was part of life.

He nodded. Who wouldn't be sad if they had to live their lives without music? To him, music was everything. He strived for it, lived it, heard it wherever he went. The world would be a terrible place if it were silent.
"Oh, oh, I'm sure I'll love it." He glanced back the way he had come. "Okay, I'll go take a look." He trotted across the the lake side, which was only a short jog away, and paused at its edge, peering into its surface.
This was what made lakes better than an ocean or a river. They were still, the surface smooth. He saw his pale face looking back at him, and the necklace around his neck, sparkling. He shook his head a little and the objects jangled together. A smile lit his face and he turned back to the female, lifting his voice.
"It's beautiful..." Wait, did he know her name? No, he didn't. "I'm sorry. I don't think we've met before even though you know my name. What's yours?" His ears dipped bashfully.

[ Sorry this took so long! D: I got totally swallowed up by Pern RP. ]
He thought it was beautiful? And rightfully so. Jun couldn't help but puff up her chest a little at the compliment. It was definitely one of her best pieces, and it suited him very nicely. Kani'noe was proof that inspiration could come from anywhere, and that inspiration could be used by anyone. Though she may not have understood why he liked the rain like he did, she could still appreciate it and use it in her art form. It was one of the benefits of being creative.
"It's Jun," she replied easily, smiling at him. "It was nice meeting you, Kani'noe. Be careful with your gift!" The young lioness tucked her collection back into its leaf pouch and picked it up in her mouth. "See you around!" With that, she dipped her head to him and trotted back out into the wilder parts of the Nchi'mahadhi lands. She had to collect more stones!
