Gabriel got up nice and early he had already gotten the car gassed up and ready to go the previous night. It was time to head out to Barton. "The Liberty Center " he said in odd fashion. He like to use words to help build up his motor skills much like people do for singing. He walked down stairs from his room. Jade was already up and made him an iced coffee. " I used mint today, to help you stay refreshed Mr.Night". He smiled at her and said " You know what I like about your coffee drinks Jade ". " There different each morning , just the way you like it " she said in a rehearsed voice. It was something they did almost every morning. Gabriel said the same thing and so did Jade. They would then sit down chat about the small things then Jade would snap back into schedule mode and she would be off doing this and that. That is what happened this morning.

The night before Gabriel , Ryan , Ephesians & Autumnus cleaned up Millie's old crib witch use to be Ephesians & Autumnus old crib. They painted it a nice chest nut brown since it use to be bright purple. Gabriel had plenty of baby things he just needed some diapers but he was going to wait to see the child before he bought those. Since size kind of matters. The crib was in Gabriel's room since he liked to have an eye on the babies in his life. The boys night was kind of nice and they just chatted about the responsibilities of being the boys of the house. The girls didn't mind since they had a girl night.

When Paulette got up and walked into the living room she made a cup of coffee then sat down with Gabriel to talk business. " So we are taking the family Van" she looked at him. " Yes" Gabriel stated. " All the kids coming" once more she looked at him "yes" he stated. "Right , then I will get the girls going , you get the boys going". They both walked up the stairs. Gabriel walked to the left door , Paulette to the right and then they both took in a breath. Getting the kids ready didn't take much work just time.

Soon all the teeth where brushed, the hairs where all set, and the bellies where fed. It only took about two hours but that what it took. Paulette and Gabriel had a moment to look at each other. “You realize your adding an extra hour to the prep time" Paulette commented. " Yes, I doooo , dooo " Gabriel said wail talking funny with Ro-Honda. Lovely showed up halfway in the preparation of the children and told Gabriel she would meet them in the car when everything was ready.

It was around nine am when everyone was ready to get in the car and go. Since it was a Sunday no one had any plans because it was family day. The car ride was kind of killer and not in a good way , get a lots of toddlers in car with a kid who could light them all on fire, it was not easy in the slightest. Gabriel almost turned around twice but he let it go. Paulette every now and then got the kids to sing along with her and that would help.

They got half way through Aekea when it was time to make a pep stop for snacks and potty breaks. They were at a gas station, Gabriel didn't really need gas butt he filled up anyways. Pep stops normally took about thirty minutes but this one was shorter by five. They got back in the car and drove off.

They made it through the Barton Wall and it was a sigh of relief. Gabriel had his appointment at twelve am and it was eleven pm at the time. So they stopped at a pond. Gabriel wished he took his ducks since it seemed to be the perfect place. He would take them there latter he thought.

It was now time to find the 'Liberty Center'. They drove around Barton. Gabriel might of gotten lost a few times but he never said anything. Soon he found a sign and drove into the parking lot. He was parked and now it was time to do a check list. One by one everyone got out of the car. The kids lined up from shortest to biggest. Gabriel , Lovely , Jade and Miss.P gave them a good look through . Once they knew all buttons where in-place and all the hairs on their head looked good. They walked. Jade and Paulette lead the group and Gabriel and Lovely stayed in the back to watch them.

They went into the center; it seemed as if the nurse in white was waiting for them “Well you sure do have a big family Mr. Night" the lady said. Gabriel just nodded and reorganized the fact. He had to sign some papers so Lovely , Jade and Paulette talked to the toddlers as Ephesians & Autumnus sat next to their father. They didn’t say anything they just watched him ex certain things and sign here and there and date and all the fun stuff that comes with paper work.

Once Gabriel handed in the paper work and everything official had been completed it was off to the nursery. The nurse looked kind of sad and said “ We can only bring two of you in”. Everyone looked kind of sad but they all understood even Ro-Honnda who said “Ok dad” meaning she was ok and wanted him to hurry up. Without speaking he took Lovely with him. Jade and Paulette once more kept on eye on the kids with the help of Ephesians & Autumnus.

As Gabriel walked into the nursery he felt a converting feeling. The nurse looked at them and said “ Ok you can look around , let me know when you’re ready there is no rush”. He kept that in mind but he knew he left his kids behind and that could be scary. So Lovely did her thing and looked around. It was odd since she couldn’t see inside the cabbages. She could only see energies. Somewhere bright , some had more of a glow. She looked over many of them , as Gabriel wondered around. He bent down and looked at a few. He was in the seventh row looking at the seventh cabbage in. He got a good feeling with this one. Lovely was in the third row. “Can you look at this one” he said. She did just that when she said “ yes this is the one”. She didn’t even have to say anything when Gabriel looked over to the nurse “ this is the one we have picked”. She walked over to them “ Ok you sure” Gabriel nodded.

They walked back in it wasn’t even fifteen minutes. “That’s my boy” Paulette “I knew you would find him just like that” she said with glee. “Well that is just like you Mr. Night” Jade said. All the kids wanted to see the cabbage but they really didn’t get that the baby was inside. Soon the nurse came back out with the plant. I think Ryan and Marcy almost fell back in their seats. Ro-Honda looked at the twins and said “ Look like you Ea , looks like you”. That cracked everyone up even the nurse. The nurse walked up to Gabriel “Just need to sign here, and everything’s done”. Gabriel took the clip bored read all that he needed to and signed and dated his last paper. Gabriel held the cabbage for a bit then he let Ephesians & Autumnus hold it all the way to the car. Everyone got back in line and walked out the door saying there good byes.

Soon they were back in the van Ryan got to hold the cabbage since he was in the middle they sat Millie , Ro-Honda , Ryan , and Marcy. In the back Jade , Miss. P , Zelda . The front was Gabriel driving and Ephesians & Autumnus sitting in the passenger seat. Ro-Honda had her head on the center of the cabbage she was talking jibber jabber at it. Marcy and Millie would pet it everyone now and then and they would all say “ baby brother”. They all had a feeling it was a boy. The car ride was much quitter then before.

They made a pit stop at the 'Aekea Pound' . Jade and Ro-Honda stayed in the car. Ro just sat with the cabbege petting it and loving on it. They decided to all go together to pick out a doggy. Everyone knew that they where only getting a dog , so no one really eye balled the puppies. It was a tug-a-war over a few dogs but in the end a dog names Casey got picked. He is a long haired aussie with cream fur and a grayish black leg. Hes really smart and after Gabriel payed and signed for him , Ryan with leash walked him to the car. The other toddlers ran after them. Once everyone was back in the car they drove off for home.


Once they got back home everyone spent time with the cabbage and Casey. Ephesians felt a little funny around the cabbage since it wasn’t like other plants it didn’t talk with him and it didn’t do much. It was like one of those guards with the big red top hates with the stone faces. Other than that everyone liked the big green plant. Casey would often sit next to cabbage sniffing the center and resting its head on it. He seemed to know a baby was in it.

It had a person or a dog with it at all times. It sure did get its love.

The little candy eggs were out and the toddlers where running around frantically with hand woven wooden baskets. Living on a huge farm, there was plenty of space to hide them. Gabriel and all the other adults supervised the children.

The dogs of course where sitting with the cabbage inside the living room. The green leaves started to feel hot and even tingly. Casey started to bark sending off the other two dogs. It was unlike the dogs to do this.

Soon everyone started to pause , other than Ryan who was being sneaking and grabbing eggs. He felt so proud of himself. Gabriel asked Paulette to help him gather up the kids and go inside. No one had a problem with this. Other then Ryan , Gabriel bent down to his eye level " Hey buddy we need to go inside but when we are done , we can go back , and you can find all the eggs ok" Ryan liked the sound of that and nodded.

As they entered the back door into the Kitchen they all made haste to the living room. There they found the dogs sniffing the cabbage and making funny sounds. Goma the puppy was jumping on top of it then jumping back off over and over.

Gabriel had a gut feeling the baby was ready to come out. Everyone watched intensely. Even the kids watched closely and didn't lose concentration. It was a mystical moment.

Then the moment of expense went from curiosity to knowing when the cabbage opened. A golden tinted cloud came out. A little baby was laying in the cabbage Gabriel ran up to him but when he went to reach his hand out the baby started to flout . He moved up to the ceiling, which was only about twelve feet up.

The boy was brown with golden hair , and eyes .He had two golden stripes on his arms and legs . He also had a golden 'O' around his shoulder that went down his chest and belly and back around. He also contained a set of bee wings. At the time his wings where not moving, so he was flouting from some other force.

He looked at the group that was now in shock. Lovely jumped up and used her transporting powers to reach him. When she did this something happened and gold dust appeared in their place. The group gasped, and Gabriel's stomach turned over. Not even half a minute later the baby showed up in the same place and Lovely proofed on the ground, her hair was out of place and her clothes was covered in golden powder.

Gabriel didn't know what to do and the group was speechless. Then Gabriel reached out his arms and hoped the baby would come to him. Thats what the baby did. He flew down and snuggled Gabriel.

Gabriel held him close to his heart and forgot about the happening that just took place. He turned to Lovely" Are you ok?". She turned back to him " I'm fine " she said in a dazed voice. " My dress is sooo pretty" she sounded really odd.

Gabriel spoke “He must have a mystical protection over him; I have seen it before" he stated. Gabriel smiled “he truly is special my little Kalamo” his name slipped right out of him mouth. Jade the little green assistant was calling up a doctor to look at Kalamo. This was really important since they had no idea what kind of child they were looking after.

Paulette spoke to the children, “let’s give your Dad sometime with the baby, we will get back to egg hunting” she looked at the kids hoping she could attracted them back to candy finding. Marcy looked up at her “ After we find our eggs can we spend time with the baby” she asked wide eyed. Paulette smiled “ Yes dear” so the kids ran back outside since they really wanted to find the eggs.

Gabriel sat with the baby and the dogs, he didn’t show the pups any attention and just rocked in a rocking chair with the baby. Humming and enjoying the time he spent with him. The dogs watched till Goma decided she wanted to watch the kids and play with them and needed to be let out. Gabriel smiled at Goma “ ok , ok it’s time to go hunting with the kids” he looked down at Kalamo “ You ready to meet your brothers and sisters” he said all cheery. The baby just looked up at him and cooed.

Gabriel let the dogs outside and joined the group. He held onto to Kalamo tight the entire time. Maybe he should get a baby leash?

Meeting Slade

Little wings moved slowly up and down as the golden child floated through the air. He floated passed Gabriel who was trying to catch him. He had no idea where he was going just having fun like normal. He saw his sister Millie talking with Slade her beast guardian. He liked the colors of Slade green and orange like a flower. He decided to land on top of Slade and rest a bit.

This came to a shock for Slade , normally only Millie jumped on his back unexpectedly. He moved his head back “ Millie did your bother just fall asleep on my back?” he asked. Millie just smiled “Maybe you too , should spend some time together” she giggled. Slade didn’t know what to do, so he sat as he watched Millie hop in the car with her father.
For the next few days , Slade would become the sleeping place for Kalamo. The bee child liked his soft fur. Slade thought of it as a ‘Waiting Game’ and let Kalamo rest till he got up and floated on by doing whatever it was he did.

On day three of this knew habit Millie let Slade know that he would switch from being her guardian to being Kalamo’s guardian. He didn’t like this news but understood what was happening. Fate had plans for Millie , and it was time for change
