I vote for a music discussion thread, Arukai already brought that idea up on another board though.
Just how does ZUN do what he can do though?
Is it the booze?

Okay, we seem kinda derailed...
Anyways, sub forum ideas:
Games Discussion
Fanart/fanfics/cosplay/other creations
Role playing
General/main for all else
another possibility, a sub forum for cosplayers only where all posts must be in character, but not necessarily in a RP
Course each one should have an appropriate name, but I feel that braking it into these basic categories will cover most of the activity on the forum

Boxing Chen another possibility, a sub forum for cosplayers only where all posts must be in character, but not necessarily in a RP What would the topic be for it? As fun of an idea that is, it doesn't seem like it would be any different than normal posting, just with the characters' personalities. Or cosplay spam. Yeah there we go, it's the cosplay spam room. And the general one is what the main forum is for. Cosplay spam.....Hmmm.........

Well, think of it this way, the RP forum would be for actual RP threads, where characters need to be claimed, a distinct story being written, etc..
the Cosplay Spam forum would be exactly as you said.. post anything and everything but it has to be in character for your cosplay.. kinda like what everyone does in profile comments but in a localized spot for everyone to read (cus.. really, its hard to figure out what is going on in the comments RP unless your the one that's writing it because you have to bounce between profiles reading the comments)

Heh, such good ideas!
And the Cosplay Spam idea can be further refined to have additional "Rooms" inside, such as the Abandoned Hell, for the SA cast and visitors.
Or Hakurei Shrine, for Reimu, and others, such as the abandoned PC-98s who have been mostly neglected buy ZUN.

A place for the casual RPing or whatever you want to call it where everything is in one place would certainly be nice. We'd be able to have more people interacting with each other at the same time, and what not.

the sub sub areas is a good idea.. that way people can keep track of here characters supposedly are. If your at Eientei, go to Eientei to RP.. keeps a character from being in two places at once like has happened in comment RP before

Well I had a problem just the other day where Tewi in one spot was smashing Ayas camera and getting a talking to by Yukari, and at the same time shes chasing Yuuya across Gensokyo cus she took one of her lies too seriously... we had to stop and discuss it and figure out that after Tewi failed to catch Yuuya she turned around and confronted Aya.
Anyhow that's venturing off topic.. point is its an interesting idea.. its a bit like, chat rooms, helps spread out the traffic too.
Still, does everyone agree with those basic sub forums? and if so, proposed names for them?

Hmmm........Well, perhaps we could take an example from Gaia at large and call the fanstuffs subforum "The Arena"?
Of course.....that's just a suggestion, no need to actually use it. >.>;

I think most would agree that Touhou related names would be better no?
like the general forum the Hakurei shrine, since its the main location,
maybe the SDM for the Art and fanfics.. as the library is both filled with book.. and doujinshi Patchy is drawing in her free time (tho most of that is DBZ yaoi...)
for RP Eientei maybe.. cus the NEET lives there and she FRUKIN LOVE RPGS
stuff like that.. tho that might be confusing if we are going to have sub subforums in the Cosplay Spam named after locations.. perhaps more simple would be just naming them what they are for
