Dude-LAP vegito61283 Dude-LAP vegito61283 The Biggest Moves in FA 1. Cassel trade to KC 2. Buckhalter signing with Denver 3. Dawkins signing with Denver 4. Haynesworth signing with Washington 5. Andrews signing with Philadelphia Buckhalter over Haynesworth? ...I don't even think that he'll start in Denver. I was just naming the top 5. There was no specific order because they all will give the best benefit to their team unlike the other Free Agents that were signed. But Sean Jones signing with philly is an interesting concept. Oh, I thought that since you put numbers instead of bullets, that you were ranking them. And the Houshmandzadeh, Ward, and Winslow moves are probably more beneficial than the Andrews move. Houshmandzadeh maybe. Ward as a split-the-carries RB, not so much. Winslow, it would all depend on how he soaks up the offense and how the QB trusts him. Andrews is a guy who comes in and immediately gives youth, real experience, size quickness to a position that was starting to go down. But like I said, they were just my opinions of who were the top 5 pickups.

But like I said, they were just my opinions of who were the top 5 pickups. Houshmandzadeh will give the Seahawks a much needed receiving target, and a veteran that can develop the others around him. I think that Ward will be more effective than Buckhalter. Ward has more experience, and is more of a complete back. He is coming off a fresh 1000 yard rushing season, and will be either the starting back or the almost equal #2 in the Bucs' RBBC. Earnest Graham may start, but Ward should be ahead of Cadillac Williams. Buckhalter is in a very deep RB depth chart on the Broncos, where nobody is really a top tier rushers. If I'm not mistaken, they had something like 6 RBs get season ending injuries last year.

Dude-LAP The biggest move so far has definitely been Albert Haynesworth going to the Washington Redskins. He signed a sick deal for 7 years and $100 million. For a defensive player (especially a DT) to be making that kind of money, is just ridiculous. ...There were many other big moves. Cassel going to the Chiefs. Winslow going to the Bucs. Dawkins signing with the Broncos. Collins staying with the Titans. Scott going to the Jets. The Cutler incident. Also, wherever Ray Lewis, Kurt Warner, and TJ Houshmandzadeh end up will be big moves. haynesworth was definitely the biggest move. Snyder likes to make a scene of things, and he knew a huge contract would get people paying attention. He also paid that CB hall way too much money

Yea i'm a redskins fan too, and it's frustrating about what the front office does. For example, they released jason taylor after giving up a 2nd round pick this upcoming draft and a 6th in next years draft. We have a terrible front office.

yes but that's not my disagreement. I don't like how much we had to give up just to give him. The redskins are renowned for giving up draft picks to people who turn out to be a bust. Some other examples are Brandon Lloyd, T.J duckett, Pete Kendall (even though he did ok).
I just want the skins to build up their team in the draft.

But the Redskins were extremely shallow on the defensive line, when they first traded to get Jason Taylor. I also think that they lost a defensive end to a season-ending injury right before the trade. It was the right move at the time.

So as long as an owner has the money, there isn't much risk.

Then explain that to the Philadelphia Phillies for not going out and spending the true money they have on people to help upgrade even more and become the 1998-2000 NY Yankees of this era. Instead they seem content on getting the few people who will make a little impact but not enough to truly cause a real impact and make them THAT dominant. LOL. But if they were to go by that in the NFL. People have to realize that that would leave the SB going to the NFC East every year. They have the most money and make the most money. Dallas, NY, Philadelphia, Washington. They are all in the top's of the league. No other division in football can claim that.

Look at the Yankees vs. Rays. The Yankees ownership has tons of money, and spent tops on the players with the biggest names. The Rays don't have much money, and sign lesser known players. But the Yankees gain success through their money, while the Rays gain success through their scouting and farm system. The quality of the player can't be measured for a particular season, until the performance has been finished.

The Eagles could still sign him, to a cheap contract.
