"Your eyes," she murmured softly. Right now the crab was hanging on with both claws, but what if it decided to go for her brother's eyes with one with clinging with the other?
Fear failed to freeze her on the spot, however - she was young, and curious, and not quite worried enough to start trying to get the crab off. Nerissa stepped forward and sniffed at the crab cautiously, then sneezed all over it.
"It's wee~ird," she said in a sing-song voice, also giggling. "Howcome it's so hard where we're so soft?"

The green foal thought for a moment, “Oh, maybe it has a magic shield around it to protect it from sneezing Nerissa’s?” he giggled at his own ‘joke’, “I dunno, maybe they are eaten by bigger creatures…maybe we are supposed to eat them?” he thought about sticking out his tongue to lick it, but decided against it.
Kneeling down on his front legs, he rested his horn against a rock, hoping to persuade the clingy crab to let go, “Off you go little fella”

Nerissa watched with bated breath as the as the crab slowly extended its legs downwards, lowering itself onto the rock - then shied away as it clacked its claws at her menacingly.
"Did you see those pincers? How horrible it would have been if it grabbed hold of any part of you besides your horn!"
She shuddered a little at the thought as the crustacean retreated into a shallow pool, and back into its shell.
"Let's get away from it. There are other pools to explore."

The green foal didn’t understand what his sister was so afraid of, the crab was just scared, like she was but even more so, he shook his head as he watched the crab disappear into the pool, “Bye!” he turned back to his sister, “You’re absolutely right, what’s in that pool over there?” he tried to bound over to the pool but forgot he wasn’t used to his legs yet and stumbled over his own feet. He managed to stop himself from falling though, just in time as he reached the pool, “Oooh…” he gazed in wonder at the colourful marine life that lived in the tiny rock pool, “Look Nerissa! It’s a star!”

"A what?" Nerissa was confused; she'd never seen a star before. Delicately criss-crossing her legs with a firm grip on the rocky ground, she peeped cautiously into the pool.
A fat red starfish greeted her with five knobby arms, looking pretty relaxed amongst the kelp bits, anemones, unknown slug-like things and tiny dull fish.
"How pretty! Well... not as pretty as us,' she said, winking.

((I forgot they just hatched and would have no idea what a star is sweatdrop ))
The green foal stuck his nose into the pool and licked the starfish, pulling his face back out quickly and spiting on the ground, "Yuk! He tastes awful!" he then rushed over to a nearby rock and ran his tongue across it, hoping to get rid of the taste of starfish and salt water, "Remind me never to lick anything like that again" he shuddered, feeling slightly ill from the taste.

((Well, they're newly hatched and talking already! xD I take it he saw the shape and said "star", but she didn't know what he meant until she took a look herself. Does that make sense?))
Nerissa threw back her head and let out a merry laugh, taking huge gasps in between; her brother was hilarious. When she stopped she peered into the pool again to check that their new friend was alright... then burst out in giggles again.
"Um... I'm glad I have you as a food tester," she teased. "Saves me the trouble! I have to ask, though," she continued, suddenly concerned. "Why did you do that, are you really hungry? If so, we can look for food."
She looked about helplessly, noting that the only thing vaguely edible was kelp. Those fish looked mighty interesting, though.
"We have a real search ahead of us... I guess we should start now."
With that, she began to nose and meander about the rocky beach, her brother by her side, as he would be for many years to come.
