"It's not a problem," the women responded, her eyes radiating a soft smile about them that her lips obviously could not mimic properly. Catching sight of Crystal's perplexing facial expression golden eye's trailed through the crowd looking for their source and falling upon Orpheus as he made his way towards the gaggle of children and the small bundle of teens.

"My name's Moanna. Moanna Nolatari. And, I think I agree with you Crystal. This day does look promising."

Moanna cast her eyes across the throng of people once again, stopping on Qadir underneath his tree and smiled slightly. So many nightly creatures coming out before the beautiful moon even rose, or it's light truly shown. How concerning.

"Do you like flowers, Crystal?"

After getting helped up by the very pretty teen Remi rubbed her stomach which had been stabbed by the very pointy elbow and had caused the fall. "Yes I think I am. Thank you miss." Looking up at the mint teen Remi smiled her warmest smile. Finally looking closely at the teen Remi gasped and her eyes grew big.

"You are so pretty! I love your hair!" Jumping up and down on the balls of her feet Remi's long light blue shirt twirled around her like a dress and swept against her white capris which were covered in dirt from the fall. Her toes were painted a pretty blue and her little feet showed from her white sandals. She had been forced into the outfit by her mother who thought that swimsuits in spring were not a good idea.

Having seen Remi fall Lizzy panicked. She hadn't seen Remi take off and suddenly seeing her get trampled by kids didn't help the woman's nerves in any way. "REMI!" about to run to her little girl she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Relax. She's fine see?" Looking away from Neena, Lizzy saw a teen help her daughter up and heaved a sigh of relief. "Atleast she's not hurt. Lets go over." Headed over Lizzy didn't notice the lost look from her best friend.

"So we go toward the crazy kids?! Do you learn nothing from your daughter?" Sighing cat ears drooping Neena follow behind her friend. Dragging her feet as much as possible.

Phoenix stayed as far away from the throng of little children as possible. He couldn't stand candy. It was unhealthy and tended to be really sticky, which was unclean and nasty and needed to be cleaned immediately. It might have been a little silly, especially for a child, but his obsession with clean had made him stay as far away from candy as possible. Besides, his New Ma said candy was unhealthy for him anyway.

Instead, once the child had found every cloth he could see was perfectly straight and without wrinkles, Phoenix began to look around for someone to talk at since Celyn had vanished into the candy crowd. He eagerly greeted Ment after his short greeting, but the peppermint scent was gone just as soon as it entered his nose. Phoenix scrunched his nose and kept looking.

Celyn soon found that he was surrounded by other children that, like him, wanted some candy from Pollux's supposedly empty bag. His eyes opened in surprise at how quickly the crowd had formed--did Pollux even have enough for all of them? Celyn scooted in a little closer and looked at Pollux with begging eyes, hoping that he would be the one to get candy first since he was clearly the first of these pushy children there.

At least he hadn't knocked anyone over!

"A splended day to meet you Lady Nolatari, and my pleasure in the fullest." Crystal realized the error of her greeting too late, giving a shy and apologetic smile to Moanna. "I do, very much, my Lady. A more blessed soul there never was, for I have the pleasure of working along side my family at The Gilded Lily."

It was uncomfortable to have not mentioned her family, but she supposed by virtue of her parent's insistance and her time spent with a certain dark-skinned man that she was slowly breaking her own boundaries. In fact, it took a fair amount of remembering her manners not to look around for the other, able to see Kaoru and Orpheus off in their patch of shade, dancing or at least preparing to. It occured to her again that her manners were failing her, lifting the cup to her lips to take an appreciative sip of the warm liquid within; it warmed her greatly, her smile growing to show her pleasure.

The teenager chuckled softly, a sweet and musical sound like a chime upon a warm breeze. "Olivia, I was standing next to," she offered to explain. It wasn't to correct him, oh no, she knew better than that - it was, perhaps in her own silly way, giving him the edge he so craved when dealing with others. "Ment, the sweet peppermint boy, and..." Kaoru kept her ruby eyes on her smaller lead, knowing full well by now that shifting her attention would only earn his ire. "...I truthfully recognized only one other. But I am unbelievably over the moon to see you. You honor us with your presence on this bright day."

Her brows curved most curiously over her bright gaze, her smile full but quizzical. While it was truly delightful to see the Lily boy, she wasn't sure what would prompt him to risk his appearance to attend something like a dance. Perhaps he was hoping to find his dear friend Amahte, or to conquer a small village and proclaim it to the gathered? Kaoru uttered a soft, girlish giggle at the notion; ridiculous, and yet not entirely something she'd discount.

Orpheus squinted against the light as he looked at the milling of people Kaoru was beginning to name, appreciative in his own way that she were helping him, without actually being belittling in her manner. "Sweet boy?" the child asked with brows upraised. The otherwise stony face remained unreadable as Orpheus struggled within not to march over to this Ment and inform him full well of the consequences of being sweet to his Kaoru. But it wasn't the time or the place. Especially in the crowd and the sun, Orpheus might be more than easily taken over were Ment to decide a duel was in order.

Were the boy to even know what Ment was like, stuffing his face with purple a few yards away, he wouldn't have even imagined a duel possible. As it were, Orpheus continued to stare across at the others, weighing his chances and probabilities with his hands in Kaoru's. "They're all taller than me," he said in his most sulking manner. Vanity did not often leave room for one to enjoy the benefits of others, but he was getting mighty tired of only coming up to the chest of the other scents. "You must inform them that their growth is offensive," he finally mused, deciding that beating up what he'd deemed in his mind as Kaoru's new boyfriend might not bode well with her and she might stop being nice to him, as much as he deserved it.

Ment gave Remi and smile and tilted his head, "Thank you. I love my hair too."

Ment felt the warm tingly sensation all over as he smelt the strong presence of Gingerbread from the girl. He knew who she was and choked back tears as he had not seen hide nor hair of the girl since he and Olivia had first sold her off to her first guardian. He couldn't help but wonder how she ended up with these new people, but thought it best to put it out of his mind. She was safe, and did not befall the fate of Pollux or Degas, and Lorelai.

"Did you want some candy?" He asked, offering Remi his hand so they could make their way through the throngs of children, rescue Polly from his capturs and try to make the children disperse.

"Your family owns The Gilded Lily?" Moanna commented, a little surprised to be meeting a family memeber of the establishment. "My mother very much loves that place. She brought a boquet of roses and jasmine home to me one while I was ill and said you can tell the fowers are happy by how fully they bloomed before they withered."

Moanna noticed Crystal's distracted demeanor and gave a puzzled glance back over to where Qadir was standing. Perhaps his presence and not being able to pinpoint it was what was causing the gentle woman to forget herself.

"There seems to be a gentleman over yonder under those trees who's gaze has not once left you since he arrived. Do you by chance know him?"

(( *throws self in* >OOO ))

Well, they were, perhaps... a little bit late, but they were here. Ka'hmesh and Farlest had heard some things about this event a few days ago, and debated over going or not - but Ka had finally decided to at least take Rhiloss and maybe introduce him to some more children if nothing else. The boy really needed more friends other than Ari, who was quite a bit older than he was.

Ka didn't know for sure if Farlest would be coming or not, but he hoped to see the other here at some point. Meanwhile... he turned his child loose and wandered after him to be sure he didn't get into too much trouble.

As soon as Ka let go of his hand, Rhiloss looked around for a minute or two before spotting Orpheus and wandering over just in time to hear the comment about all the others being taller. "I'm not taller than you," he commented - inserting himself into the conversation without so much as a by-your-leave.

Hey, he was bored. And it was a new person.

Orpheus was slightly startled, and it showed as much in his eyes as he looked over at the iced over boy. Too much white, especially with the sun creating a snow-blind glare. Squinting those dark eyes, the boy took a moment to look him over, in all curiousness wondering how the boy had ever managed to sneak up on him. As usual, Kaoru would be the one getting the blame. "I don't recall inviting you to this conversation," Orpheus said stubbornly, lifting his chin in that sort of regal manner that made most of the people he met hate him. Well, he didn't actually realize they hated him. In the boy's own mind, those people who so quickly excused themselves from his presence were simply...unable to accept any more of his greatness and had gone to contemplate him in a more personal setting. Yes, that was clearly the case.

The shaded vampire furrowed his brows together as he sensed the conversation of Moanna and Crystal shifting to the topic of him hiding under a tree. Qadir had not come to distract the flower woman and keep her from her friends; he'd merely wished to keep an eye out for her, so there would be no trouble. Once he was sure Moanna was giving away his location, he'd quickly scramble to his feet and dart behind the tree he'd been resting against. Any better time, he'd have done it before anyone could realize he'd gone missing, but the sun made him sluggish, and the chance of Crystal spying him move around the tree was great.

It had been too long! They were so late! The twins ran about, moving from one stall to the next as they peered at things, reaching up to carress and handle whatever caught their eyes. Never straying too far from one another, Lucian and Rion found the entire event something of great interest.

For the last couple months they'd been kept close to home... not really allowed out to explore (that Dad knew of anyway) and were anxious to reinstate their presence with their peers.

As it was, one such place caught their attention, a stall where several children had gathered around and a pleasant, if odd, combination of scents radiated out. More like them! Exchanging glances, the devious duo smiled as they stood up straight and walked towards those gathered without even checking if their Guardian was still dutifully tailing them.

He was, actually, even though he knew from their sudden pleasant airs that the two had found something of particular interest. It wasn't hard to guess, really, so he didn't summon them back or go rushing off. One thing Cyralthein had learned early on was that stiffling them would only make them even more eager to worm their out of their box.

Still, he'd made sure to keep them near - even turning his job into one that he could work at home from - so that he had time to be with family and raise these two rambunctions twins. They were terrible, really, and yet at the same time they made the Shifter laugh as he found himself becoming hopelessly attached to the pair. Even if they'd been born from oil, they were sons now, near and dear to his heart.

Cyr saw Chrystali first as he drew near and lifted a hand in greeting while he called her name.
"Chrystali! Long time no see!" Drawing up beside her, the Shifter took her frailer appearance and frowned slightly but did not say anything. "Have you come for the festival too? My boys demanded we go see what the rucus was about." Chuckling, he gestured at the pair who were currently oggling the wares Olivia had set out with fascinated looks.

... How could you not come to love such little 'angels'?

Rhiloss blinked and then very nearly imitated the other's haughtiness for a moment as he replied. "Whoever told you that you needed to invite me? I can enter a conversation on my own, thank you." Then he rather spoiled the effect by grinning widely - almost in total contrast to his words and tone.

... Oh dear. Ka shut his eyes for a moment or two, considering whether or not to "rescue" the child before something disastrous happened.

A rather tall man with big fox-like ears and a tail wandered along behind Cyralthein and the twins, smiling faintly as he took everything in. Coming up beside his mate as Cyr spoke to Chrystali, Arcanos offered a little wave with two fingers.

"Hello again... how are you doing?" he asked, smiling at the woman - obviously having decided she wasn't any kind of threat to his relationship since they'd last met.

"Yes please!" Smiling Remi placed her hand in the older boys. He was so much taller then her she had to crane her neck to gaze at him. Pausing Remi took a big whiff and sighed happily. Peppermint! It reminded her of candy canes and christmas! Was he like her? "Are you a scent child too? How many of us are there out there?" Looking up at him she looked just as lost as she felt. With all the children still pushing around her Remi gripped the older scents hand tighter and wrapped her other arm around his pushing closer. She didn't want to fall again. Once was enough.

About to enter the clearing of kids Lizzy stopped as she watched the other boy lead Remi from the chaos. Breathing a bigger sigh of relief she looked around, nervous. She knew no one here. Looking back at Neena Lizzy bit her lip and asked the question on her mind with her eyes.

Sighing Neena shook her head. The kids voices were getting on her nerves. Glancing at Lizzy she shook her head. "I don't recognize anyone either. It looks like Remi is more comfortable here then us." Smiling comfortingly Neena made it disapper quickly. It wasn't like her to be warm.

Now where were some other people he could talk at? ...There! He suddenly saw two twin boys thrust themselves into the fray of children. Wait, scent children could be twins? Hm, maybe they weren't scent children. A new scent had entered his nose, though. Phoenix tried to scientifically analyze the situation like his New Ma for a few moments before deciding that perhaps it was better to just follow the twins and their quick wandering.

Phoenix called, "Hi!" loudly, in hopes they would hear. And, just in case they didn't, he followed and attempted to poke one of them in the back. Then, when he realized that he had touched something that was potentially dirty, the medicinal child began to wipe his finger off on baby wipe; he carried those with him in his left lab coat pocket.

The churro boy noticed the commotion growing behind him as kids complained about being shoved out of the way, so he turned around. There was Ment! And Remi! The little boy waved excitedly at his gingerbread-scented friend. "Hi Remi! This guy has candy, but he kinda got bombarded after I got here." He pouted, pulling one lip out in front of the other and looking a bit like a sad puppy.

Once he remembered the teenager, he stopped pouting and waved to the teenager that was with Remi. Ooh, they knew each other too? Daddy might have been right about that small world thing, whatever that meant. Apparently it meant everyone knew each other within six degrees or something... "Hi again Ment!"

(( @Crimson: I know we haven't finished our first RP between those two, but it would be strange for him not to say hi. xD I think we can assume it'll continue to go well... ))

Orpheus noted all the new people streaming in, and the commotion that was occurring around the tables. He felt the slightest twinge of regret for pulling Kaoru aside for his own personal vendetta, but the feeling passed as smoothly as it had come. If Kaoru was not with him, he would be alone, and that simply wasn't right after all. Attention was eventually dragged back to the white haired boy, reluctance at having to address the boy any further simply seeping through the pores. Rudeness, Orpheus had a hard time managing it without snapping, but he wished to remain the best possible gentleman in Kaoru's eyes...even if he had been just a moment ago thinking of challenging her boyfriend "Ment" to a duel.

"In most civilized areas, people do not simply barge into a conversation," Orpheus began, taking on the tone of an adult in hopes of chiding the boy that was, as had been previously state, no taller than him. "Besides, I am sure you can do many things 'on your own,' I had just hoped that being a rude person wasn't one of them." Despite his attempt to play as nice as possible in front of the pomegranate girl, his lips curled back slightly to bare fangs at the boy. The sun really didn't bring out the best in any vampire. "Next time, ask," Orpheus finished in a deadly cold whisper of a voice.

"They do," she replied pleasantly, smiling warmly at the woman. It made her heart swell to hear such praise about her family's hard work. "Please send our fondest regards to your mother - should she visit, we'd be happy to give her a complimentary bouquet of her favorite flower as gratitude." Grey eyes turned towards the indicated tree, indeed catching enough of a glimpse of fine clothing and black hair to know who was hiding. A small, fond smile curled her lips, turning again to Moanna and nodding. "I do know him. He is my lo--"

Crystal looked startled at the young looking man that kneeled next to her, blinking up widely at-- "Cyr!" she cried out delightedly, gingerly putting the tea down and wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders. She hadn't seen the Shifter...since the twins! "Cyr my friend! How are you? How are my favorite twins?" she gushed excitedly, squeezing his hand in fondness. Her eyes traversed further to rest on Arcanos, her glee to see the two obvious. "Arcanos too! What a splendid day, that you might both partake in the activities."

She didn't mean to be rude, but it was hard to answer the 'how are you?' questions. Instead, she smiled up to Moanna, indicating the gentlmen at her side. "Lady Nolatari, this is my dear friend Cyralthein, and the fine gentleman here is Arcanos." Crystal again smiled to the men, lifting her hand to indicate the woman she'd been speaking with. "This is Lady Moanna Nolatari. She has been kind enough to keep me company while Kaoru--oh, Cyr." Mischief flitted through her eyes for the first time in over a year, pointing yonder to a tree. "Kaoru..."

The teenager in question was simply watching Orpheus and the unfamiliar Scent with an amused smile. When the two were done exchanging barbs, she removed one hand from Orpheus' grasp to gather her gown and dip into a slight curtsey to the pale boy. "I am Kaoru," she greeted him politely. "There's plenty of others who are not taller, but those who are, are an affront to my Lord." Coy lips curled into a knowing smile; she could play to Orpheus' ego while at least being cordial to the other.

"Truth be told, I've not seen many of the familiar faces of old," she continued thoughtfully. "Amahte, that charming apple boy...Degas, Meagan, Celyn, although I just saw him over--oh, Lucion and Rion!" Her ruby eyes fell upon the unmistakeable duo, watching them fondly for a moment. Maybe the others would be here too!
