"Honestly, mum, you drive like an old lady..."
"Do NOT!"
Voices came, loud and clear, as a silver volvo pulled up, slowly halting. Odd jumped out of the car, rolling his eyes as a blue-haired woman got out of the car, protesting his comments and trying to state her case. Odd's ears, however, were closed to this. He opened up the back seat, which had the tip of a surfboard sticking out the window. It was smaller, considering he was a monkey, but it still didn't fit very well in the back seat with all the other stuff. He opened the door and pulled it out, tucking it under his arm and walking over to Milla and Rome. "Hey guys. Sorry I'm late, she can't drive," he said, jabbing his thumb back at the blue-haired lady.
"I can TOO drive!" she said, harumphing and folding her arms. She wiped the frown off her face when she saw Monkey, though. "Hi, just dropping Odd off," she said with a tired grin.

Alive? Milla blinked. "Well, that's good, I guess," she said, trying not to push the issue at all. She turned back to Rome.
"Call me babe one more time. Go ahead. I'll push you out of the car on the way to the beach. I can just see it now on the front page of the Gambino Times- "Tragedy Strikes Teen on the I-76. ...Oh, hi Odd. I didn't know you were coming."

"Ah yes, hey there! Perfectly alright...Nice board Odd. Go ahead and strap it onto the top of the Jeep next to mine and Rome's. Now all we're waiting for is Hariel." Monkey nodded over to the Jeep for Odd after he waved back to his mother.
"No worries dude... I think you came just in the nick of time... I might have ended up signing off myself as roadkill." Rome said with a little laugh, not putting it past Milla to follow through on her threat.
"Trust me... When you get back you'll be thankful she drives the way she does... My Dad's a maniac behind the wheel..." Making sure Milla wasn't looking at him, the devious SMO squirted some water out of the cap of his waterbottle which he had poked an invisable hole through at Milla.

((Should we assume Hariel came and they get on the road? At this rate the trip's going to take a few months... sweatdrop ))

((Lol, I guess so. XD But in any case, it's fun- I don't mind if it drags on a bit. ^_^ heart ))
"AH!" Milla cried, as the water sprayed her. She ran and dove behind his father.
"Mr Monkey- kill him!" She cried, laughing. Only after she'd procured her 'shield', she poked her head around his legs and said "Maybe we shouldn't wait for Hariel. Her mother knows the way there. We'll just leave a note on the door, and she can drive her down to the beach."

Normally Monkey wouldn't've really cared, if he didn't see Rome do it then he wouldn't've done anything. But, Milla involved him so he had to be the P-word... You know the one that ends with a "rent" at the end of it.
"Rome... Be nice to Milla... Just because you have a crush on her is no reason to pick on her..." Monkey laughed a little and took a couple steps back, expecting to be jumped on.
But, Rome just dropped his jaw and stared at his father. What the hell! "I ... I... I do not!.... Don't.... make stuff up just because you have a crush on ....her mom!" He was scratching at the bottom of the barrel for something to say.
"Now that is out of the question. We're just friends. Close that mouth before it gets duck taped shut... Milla, there's a roll of ducktape in my bag, just incase." He winked at Milla and shook his head a little. "Let's go kids. Everyone in the car. Rome, go put a note on the door." Monkey got the keys out of his pocket and climbed in the Jeep and started it up, waiting for everyone else.
Groaning, Rome got up and put the note on the door.

Milla's eyes went deviously squinty at the first mention of the word 'crush'. So Rome had a crush on her- delicious. She felt a satisfied glow creep to the tips of her ears, and she flaunted a shoulder around the side of Monkey's legs, giving Rome a glimpse of her self-security. The second mention of the word however, dropped her jaw.
"Our parents?" She said, as Rome put the note on the SM HQ, and she climbed into Monkey's car. "That would be... so weird."

Rome scowled at his father for being so... LOUD. So much for his weekend plans. Damn. "Oh don't let that head get too big, babe. Never know if it'll explode or not..." Back to picking on her...
Monkey looked back at her in his rear-view mirror. "Hey, I'm married. I don't have a crush on Emelyn. She's an accomplished woman and I admire that. Not crush. Things I feel are platonic. Strictly platonic." He shook his head letting his mohawk sway from side to side and took a deep breath. "Ludacris.."
Rome was laughing, of course, once he got back into the Jeep and his dad started to drive. Who said scraping was a bad thing? One more for Rome on the scoreboard.

Milla reached over and punched Rome for calling her 'babe'. Once that was out of the way, she ducked down to whisper in his ear, laughing as they drove to the beach.
"Ha... I think you made him blush."

"Aou...Gr..." Refusing to say ouch Rome rubbed his arm as he listened to Milla. "Shows him right..." He mumbled to himself then laughed a little looking over at his dad.
"Hey hey hey... No secrets over there, love monkeys. Odd, you're going to have to keep those two in check for me while I'm driving." Monkey said as he got on the freeway, looking into his rear view mirror at Odd and Milla.
Trying to change the subject Rome dug through his bag then sat back up with a big smile on his face. "Radio anyone?"

"Radio would be sweet. As long as you don't play anything by the beach boys. ...Surfers are so blah," Milla teased, and then leaned over to poke at Odd.
"Mr Monkey, he's one of us- he can't keep us straight. He's on the LINE, man." She rolled her eyes joyfully and laughed. "Isn't that right, Odd-man?"
