#1: Celeste Orders Kohi

Celeste rolled out of bed and groaned, blinking sunlight out of her eyes. She tried blindly searching for the curtain with her hands but it was much too awkward to try to close it without seeing. With an annoyed grunt, she made her way toward the bathroom and began to prepare for the day, as sluggish as a zombie.

After showering, brushing her teeth and hair, and getting dressed, Celeste left her house feeling clean and refreshed. She wandered down the driveway and opened her mailbox, sorting through the letters. Bill... bill... advertisement... and a flyer for a new restaurant? Intrigued by the colorful images and bold, pretty lettering, she stopped to read it. It was a flyer from the new place a few blocks away, a sushi bar. Celeste had never had sushi before and had always wanted to try it. Today seemed as good a day as any to do so! With a little grin, she headed toward GoGo Sushi.

Celeste arrived at the building and peered inside, giddy with excitement. She simply couldn't wait to try something... even if it were raw fish (as unappetizing as that sounded). In she strolled, trying to look cool. For whatever reason, she felt it imperative that she make a good impression on a room full of strangers eating sushi...

She seated herself at the bar and gazed intently at the menu. Most of the words, Japanese in origin, didn't mean much to her... but thankfully, English descriptions accompanied them. Still, she'd never eaten anything else. Maybe starting small would be best?

She asked for a cup of boba tea but purposely didn't choose a flavour. She liked being surprised. And within moments a tall plastic cup with an adorable brown fox printed on it sat before her. She sniffed the brown slush, expecting the sweet scent of chocolate or caramel. Instead, the bitter and unpleasant smell of coffee wafted up at her.

"Excuse me, waitress? Could I possibly get something else? I don't drink coffee..." she said, offering the cup.

The waitress simply smiled enigmatically. "Keep it. It's on the house." The pretty girl added a wink and left.

Celeste frowned. Keep it? Why keep a cup of coffee-flavoured slush she couldn't possibly drink? ...Whatever. She set the cup aside and looked over the menu again, determined not to let this small mishap ruin her fun.

She spent roughly a half-hour there snacking on sushi -- which, surprisingly, did not for the most part consist of fish at all! -- before heading home. After paying for her very delicious meal and resolving to return soon, she headed out: but not without the cup of coffee she hadn't touched. Celeste couldn't quite put her finger on why, exactly, but she felt like she was meant to get this cute cup and keep it. Feeling a little embarassed, she pretended it was for drinking and left.
