Rei-Ku

"Hey, Reiku-kun... you won't be mad at us, will you?" the woman caressed the young child's hair with one hand. There was no reply from the child however as all its systems were in hibernation mode and weren't functioning. Dressed in the Order's uniform the boy looked like a stunning, life-sized doll. It made the woman sigh. She was but one of the remaining members of that team that had envisioned this madness that produced everything. She wasn't God. Not even her other associates had the right to call themselves that. The only person who had the right to refer to himself as such had been the Architect and the old man had died long ago. His fragmented creation was inherited by his disciples and saw many reincarnations in their hands in their tries to make it perfect.

Rei-Ku, formally unit number 09 and Primary Unit number 02 was her responcibility... she was the one that was going to press the erase button and then go through the trouble of fabricating thirteen years of memory data in order to implant them on that beautiful drive of his... and then of course she'd have to find an appropriate family to care for him. The same counted for Primary Unit 01, the poor thing she had recovered from her colleague by force in order to save it. She barely made sense of the man nowadays and it was becoming tiring... and of course she couldn't allow him to soil the Architect's perfect Creation with his foolish dreams of darkness and destruction.

"Eh, Reiku-kun... don't be mad, okay? Really..." she hooked him up on her main computer, a monster with a hard-drive of one Petabyte, custom-made OS and the strongest processors in the world. It was really a jewel, monstrous maybe, but a jewel nontheless.
She typed something until a screen came up asking for confirmation. She pressed the enter button and entered her password.

"Unit 09, initiating startup"
the massive engine to which the body was connected emitted a loud humming sound as power transmition to the unit's vessel begun, charging him up. Blue eyes that showed no human emotion openned, the distinctive layer of the Hesperia ring extending as the unit adjusted its vision. It picked up the sound of approaching footsteps and moved its neck slightly so the person approaching entered its field of vision.
"Hello there. I'm Doctor Miharu Osaka." the female told him, smiling and making a bow of the head. The stimuli where analyzed and the woman's attitude was recorded as 'friendly'. "Are you feeling alright?"
"Condition; functional." it replied to the question. The female heaved a small sigh mixed with an idea of a faint smile. "I have not restored your personality layers just yet, I am analyzing it in case any portion of the archive became corrupted when you analyzed the dark data." she explained, entering the keys, password and personal information into the system to which it was attached.
The platform it was placed on was shaken by a violent motion as the safety locks detached themselves and then smoothly lowered itself to ground level. The heavy metal shackles that strapped it to the machinery came loose and it found itself stumbling forward a bit until it could regain its balance.
"Your memory layers where baddly damaged..." the doctor trailed off as she circled around it to connect some more wires into the small ports visible in between hallowed portions of skin. "I saved everything I could, however... your most recent memories, tracing back to more than a year ago, where lost, save for a very small portion. Of course the trails are there, it is not completely hopeless to assume you could gradually rebuild those parts..."
"Acknowledged." it was all it said.
"However I managed to fix your vision, if only for a little while. It appears that your original optical nerves and the Hesperia implant were not compatible, hence it rendered your original vision worthless in favour of the implant. However the implant on its own is not fully functional either. It will only let you see wavelengths once you manually trigger it."
"Understood." it replied.
