Are you a Watase follower, or do you just like those specific manga by her?
I appreciated Alice 19th as well. It was just as lighthearted as...Well, Okay, it was a mix of lighthearted and seriousness between the two Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. I liked Chidori too. whee I think my first mangakas were Clamp and Yu Watase actually... (:

Fav mangas(not in any order): Death Note, FMA, MÄR Heaven
Fav animes(top 4): Kattekyo Hitman Reborn, Toradora, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Soul Eater
And I wach million other anime too xDD

I like her. My fave mangaka.
I started Genbu Kaiden the manga, but I get lazy when I read manga online, so I kinda stopped.
I've got a lot to read.

Kamichama Karin!!! That is my all-time favorite anime! No one can change that! My favorite character is kazune Kujyou! I just love him!
My second favorite is Shugo Chara, but I didn't get to finish it. My favorite character is Amu because I really like how she's always trying to be cold and spicy, but she wants to be normal. I really like the anime.
My cousins say that I'm an anime freak, but I'm proud of that name.

My favorite Anime is Naruto!!!!! 4laugh I have 3 favorite characters from Naruto and they are Sasuke, Garaa, and ITACHI!!!! my second Favorite Anime is Vampier Knight heart yuki and zero are my favorite characters!!!! but I am kind of sad that yuki and zero could not be together due to the fact that zero hates Vampiers and is one himself.... poor yuki lost her friend. my third favorite Anime is Fruits Basket heart tohru, yuki, kyo are my top three favorite characters and tohru and kyo are perfict for each other!!!!
My friends say I read to much anime but I think you can never read to much Anime/manga 4laugh

I guess I discovered them when I made friends in High School who took Japanese b/c they loved Anime. The only anime I knew before i was 17 was Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z (haha). Oh, and the Gibli films my Aunt gave me...
These manga/animes are set apart, I believe, b/c of their art and story. I do love some of the crazy stuff (like FLCL, Degi Charat, etc), but these are best heart
I did want to get into One Piece and Naruto...maybe even Conan or Gundam...they are all so long, though (@-@;;
I do have to agree with Miss Chloie, though! Utena was really interesting and the art was superb....aaaand completely confusing (@-@). And that CLAMP/Watase is pretty much the good stuff
Do you guys like American comics? Like Watchmen, Lady Death, etc? heart

Miss Chloie Red River! I actually read that one! I think it's weird that they put "Parental advisory" on so many of them though. You think that they would finally get to be together and then it's all "Sorry. Princey-boy has to run over here now." Eesh. I wish I owned it though. I haven't read it in a while and it belonged to a friend of mine and she moved out of state. I never got to finish it. Yeah, I didn't understad the parental thing either. It was weird. Anyway, yeah, that's how the story mostly ran. You think they FINALLY get together but no. But that's why people keep reading you know? It's like they need to know it Yuri and Kail are going to get together. How far did you get into the series?

All of this talk about yu Watase and her works reminded me that I have two of her artbooks. I have one for Ceres and one for Fushigi Yuugi. Ironic, huh? If anyone is interested, I may be able to scan photos for you. (:

Yeah...Inuyasha was the worst one she's done. She probably even said that herself (haha).
But yeah! Watase artwork?! Super cute~! I would like to see 3nodding
