I only play alto, but i no lotsa ways 2 fix saxes, cuz mine breaks alot! ^^ Hav u ever tried to bend ur octive key/ or found any loose screws? heh. or maby ur pads are leaking.

check your keys and make sure that they're closed all the way. i asked one of the clarinets in our band to hold my sax so i could use the bathroom. he dropped it a bit later and the octave key and quite a few note keys were slightly bent out of place (there was that among many other problems) and it would do the same thing. just check and see that all the keys are closed completely when you press them down (don't push down on them hard when you're checking it). also, try a size 2 or 2 1/2 reed instead of a 3. and see if your reed isn't split or chipped.

well make sure u clean it every day becuase one of my keys got sticky and it wouldnt open so remeber to play wit all ur keys and if u dont have a pad saver GET ONE!!!!!! and on low notes drop ur jaw and tuck in ur stomach
