It's definitly possible. When you consider the relativly insignifigant number of specimens that get turned into fossils after they decompose then we really have no idea how many species we'll never have any idea about. personally i think some were real but others are exaggerations or missinterpretations. like the mermaid is based on the manatee.

I think that Nessie, Bigfoot, and Dragons are real, but that's just about all.

Ailinea Wow. This is all really interesting. Do you have any sources for these by chance, Katamari? I'd really like to read up on these a bit more. You know, about the Roswell thing, about the dinosaurs in medieval times, etc. National Geographic, History Channel, my friends, my teachers, and books. smile

We Love Katamari Lady_Nekochan The Loch Ness monster is not real. Someone a long time ago admitted that they created the "monster" by gluing monster-like parts to a remote-controlled submarine. Though I seem to be the onlly person who's ever heard that; no one I've ever mentioned this to seems to have heard it before.
As for dragons, the ancient Chinese found dinosaur bones and believed them to be the bones of dragons, so that might be where it originated. However, we can hardly say that dragons don't or have never existed....It's pretty difficult to prove. xd Therefore, dragon fanatics like me can keep dreaming. for the lock ness part, you're talking about the sergeon's photo(srry, bad spelling), its just a photo. It was taken by this guy who told a famous respected sergeon to claim it. He didn't create the whole nessie story, nobody has, but a lot of people contribute to it, like saying there were sightings and stuff. Nobody ever really started it.
You know, I read a really neat novel about the Loch Ness monster once...I wonder if I still have it? 0-o I might post the name up here if I ever get the title again. It was really interesting, though I think it was for people a bit younger than I was.

ok I beleive that people from the past didn't mean it was there then but in the future..you know how eventually the earth is going to meet the sun and everything is going to be recreated.. I beleive that is true and there will be new species of animals..right you with me?... and people will be givin a second chance not to kill animals and make them extict..as people do now..aka hunting.. so I beleive that they ment in the next life they will come..but people now saying it's true I just think they have come across that from their ancestors..
I know it's lame and everything but thats what I think..

We Love Katamari Lady_Nekochan I wasn't talking about a specific person creating the story, I was talking about one person admitting to creating a submarine Nessie. I didn't say the legend started with this person, but I am saying a lot of the documented sightings did.

Now, as for dragons, they had to exist at some point in some form. Too many unrelated cultures have depicted them throughout history. Even those that had no contact with each other. In my mind, that cannot merely be coincidence.

Well, I didn't exactly want to live forever, anyway. I don't think I could handle watching everything else age and die while I stayed young.
