[[That would be a fun trunk...]]
Alexis didn't say anything. Impressive? Hardly, she thought. She stopped in the middle of the school. "All right, then," she said. "Over there are the boys' dorms." She pointed to a large building on the west side of campus. "The girls are not allowed to go in there. Do it, and it's immediate expulsion." She pointed to a large building on the east side of campus. "That's the girls' dorms. Again, no boys allowed unless you want to get expelled." Alexis gestured for them to follow her. She continued into the pavilion. "Over there are the math buildings," she said. "Those are primarily based on learning the math of alchemy. Most of you will be in Alchemy Math 1, unless you end up in Intermediate Math, but you can only be in that if your grades prove so. When you're a junior or senior, you have the option of taking Intermediate Alchemy Math 1 if you hadn't taken it. Or, if you had taken it in your freshman year, Intermediate Math 2. And finally, the option of taking Advanced Alchemy Math, which is my class." She sighed. "Over there are the practice fields." She pointed to an open space towards the back of the school. "That's where you spend your time practicing alchemy. There are tables set up for you to practice equations for creating new methods of alchemy. Those fields are not used for battles!" She moved towards another building. "And here is the science building. It's the biggest of the classes you have to take. You must be passing this particular class to move on to the next year."

Shana nodded as Alexis explained everything. So far, everything sounded easy enough.

Moving on, Alexis showed them the cafeteria. "The food isn't half-bad, but that's just me," Alexis said. She moved her way across the pavilion and turned. The freshmen stopped like soldiers. "Now," she said. "In case you haven't noticed, the campus seems to large for the buildings. That's because the campus has daily alchemy battles. Even as freshmen, you'll most likely be challenged to a battle.
"In a battle," Alexis continued, "your goal is to bring down your opponent using alchemy. But, no killing purposely. I mean, really, where's the fun in that?" She narrowed her eyes. "The only thing you can't do is do a tag-team. This is a one-on-one sort of thing. You have to ask the person you want to challenge, not just attack them out of nowhere. Alchemy battles can only be fought during the day time when people are out." She nodded.
Alexis put her hands on her hips. "All right, girls, come with me!" she ordered. "Boys, you go meet up with Jason. He's by the boys' dorms waiting for you." She turned as the boys split. "All right, girls! Time to see your dorms."

Suzette had followed Alexis, without saying anything for the entire time. She was amazed of how she can do alchemy without a circle, she heard of a limited few doing that, but she never had a decent idea how. She carried her huge bag on her back and went on. After Alexis explained the math classes, Suzette was determined to get into the intermediate class and was confident about it. Yet, when the topic battles were brought up, she was worried. Everyone will come to know her health problems, and will exclude her, just like everyone else before them. Finally, Suzette followed her to the dorms, now that the tour was over.

Alexis walked through an arch that led to the girls' dorms. The arch was plastered in mixed-together transmutation circles. They looked like a bunch of lines to the naked eye, but look closer and you could make out the intricately drawn lines that made up the circles.
Alexis opened the double-doors that, too, were crafted with transmutation circles.
The dorm hallways were huge and almost looked like a maze. A bulletin board was directly in front of them, it was blank for the time being. It was where the girls would post their news on the dorms and the school. "Now," Alexis said, pivoting. "Your names are engraved into your dorm doors. You each have your own room. The downstairs hallway is for the freshmen. The level above is for my class, the juniors, and finally, the seniors have control over the top level. You can go everywhere except for the seniors' hall. Go up there, and you're dead meat." She sighed. "Go find your dorms. Come to me if you have any questions." That's when the thought came back to her. You are these kids' counselor for the rest of the year! she remembered the head counselor saying. Her gut twisted. "And..." she said. "My room number is 256. Come up there if you need anything during the year." The clapped her hands. "All right, go find your dorms!"

Shana smiled and happily skipped off to find her dorm. When she did, she opened the door and immediately dropped her trunk. "That was so heavy..." she said with a sigh. She sat down on her bed and looked around at the plain room. "This room could use a lot of work..." she thought aloud. She opened her trunk and pulled out a whole bunch of random things. She started to hang up some posters on the wall.

Alexis sighed, feeling tired after showing the freshmen around. She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes, arms crossed over her chest. I'll also be responsible for making sure they're under control, she thought. Which means walking down the hallways at night with a flashlight. Hm. Bored, she started walking down the hallway, seeing what the girls would make their rooms look like. Since this was an academy for alchemists, she expected the majority of them to decorate their rooms with transmutation circles, or something like that.

Shana sighed in relief and dropped down onto her bed after she was done with decorating her room. On the walls were posters that she had drawn and colored herself. They were of various things, such as people, nature, and animals. One that she liked in particular was above her bed which she covered in a red bed-set; it was of a girl wearing lolita and holding onto her calico cat's leash ((it's actually a pic of her, heads up)). There were books in piles on the floor and stuffed animals on the bed ((one is a calico cat, heads up)). She got up and decided to open the door for some fresh air, when she saw Alexis coming by. "Hi!" she called out, sticking her head out and waving.

Alexis paused by...oh...what was her name? Oh yeah, Shana's door when the girl waved at her. She gave the freshman a small nod. I don't get why she's so enthusiastic, Alexis thought. The sound of a large bell rang throughout the school. "Your schedules are on the back of your doors!" she shouted, turning around. "Get to your classes, ladies! Just because you're freshman doesn't mean you have any rights to be late! Let's move!" Alexis walked down the hallway. She entered the pavilion and headed towards her first class: Advanced Alchemy Math.

Shana nodded and hurried inside her room to get her things. She grabbed her trunk, now more lightweight, and the stuffed animal of the calico cat. She then looked at the schedule at the back of her door and her smile turned into a surprised look. "Didn't she say that we could only be in Intermediate Math if our grades prove so?" she questioned aloud, recalling what Alexis had said. She shrugged the thought off and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. She then skipped off into the direction of her first class.

Suzette went inside her empty dorm room. "Wow, it's bigger than I expected it to be." She said to herself, looking around. "What's even better is that I don't have to share it with anybody." She layed down both of her bags, one for decorating the room, and one for school supplies. She pulled out rose colored linen sheets and made her bed. There were a few wrought-iron accesories, such as wall decorations and stands. Next, she grabbed artificial flowers and put them in a vase. Most of these decorations were what she had made. She stood back to look at her new room. "Really pretty", she said to herself, yet again. The bell rang, Alexis instructed Shana and Suzette to look at their schedules. She took it from the back of her door and grabbed her second bag.

The pavilion was flooded with students. A lot of them were freshmen trying to figure out where to go. Alexis narrowed her eyes at the President, also known as Terra. Terra was cheerily showing kids to their classes. Alexis rolled her eyes at the girl and headed to her class, bag slung over her shoulder. She slid into her seat and immediately felt like running. They had a new AAM [Advanced Alchemy Math] teacher. The woman wore round-rimmed glasses and her hair was pulled up into a neat bun. "Oh, joy," Alexis mumbled.

Suzette speed-walked while keeping her eyes on the schedule, dodging almost dozens of confused freshmen. "Okay, I have Literature of Alchemy first.....it's at......building D." Suzette pulled out her map, trying to keep all her other papers inside of her backpack as people kept on shoving her to get to their class. She went straight to the room it was located and looked around. There were only a few people there, as there were still many freshmen outside. "Oh! Hello! Please take a seat for now and I'll introduce myself when everybody is here," said the teacher. Suzette did what the teacher told her and took a seat in the front. The teacher was a bit old, around 55 to 60 years old if she had to guess. She had short brown hair in a bob and wore an unusually long black skirt. Her tan turtleneck looked really uncomfortable as the weather was still warm. She had bright, gaudy make-up and many wrinkles etched on her face.
She noticed a group of girls staring at her, but then turned to each other and laughed. 'Great, it's only first period and I already have people disliking me', she thought to herself.

"Hey, Alexis!" Alexis lifted her head off her desk. The students were still filing in. She had a piece of her black hair hanging down in her face. "What is it, Tanner?" she moaned, dropping her head again. "You ready for the new freshmen?" her friend, Tanner, said. Tanner was around Alexis's age. He had dark-blonde hair and freckles dotted his cheeks. He had a smile that could melt anyone's heart--except for Alexis's, of course. "Ugghhhh," Alexis moaned, leaning back in her chair. "I have to look after them this year!" Tanner laughed. "Just your luck, right?" "Yes!" Tanner grabbed the back of Alexis's chair and yanked it over. Alexis hit her head on the desk behind her and fell to the floor. "Oww..." she groaned. "Some friend you are!"

There were about less than a dozen people who flocked into the class, five minutes after Suzette arrived. "Well, since half of the class is present, I guess I'll just introduce myself now", the teacher sighed, putting her hair behind one ear. "I'm Ms. Briars, and I'll be your Literature of Alchemy teacher for these next two semesters." The teacher was rambling on about her life story/why she became a teacher at Akira High. The students just talked with their friends, which wasn't suprising because only a handful of people actually listen to teachers on the first day of school. The way that the new students gained friends in such a short time wasn't shocking as well. Suzette just listened for the whole time, waiting for the rest of the students to arrive.
