Erik looked a little surprised, but he checked her age via her mind, then smiled at his mistake. "Well look at that. Apparently I can't tell her age. I'm sorry, sweetie.... Evel - will you be a darling and get her something to eat? I'll stay with her and we'll play."

He grinned, and wiggled his fingers at her - fingers that shot sparks of various colors all around the room in little star patterns. They bounced around the room, converged, and became tiny prancing ponies in the air.

Dragon and Reever acted at the same time. Dragon grabbed the phone on the wall, speaking into it.

- Doctor Raizen Arrikanez, Doctor Raizen Arrikanez. Your rabbit is loose. Repeat. Your rabbit it loose. Please report to Grizz for retrieval. Oh, and love - zip your pants, your fly is open. -

That done, Dragon shut the door and barred the window to prevent the small lapine from escaping. He grinned.

"NOW we have you little one!"

Reever was not so easily contained. He may not be able to get out the door or window, but that didn't mean he couldn't get out of reach! He slipped through Grizz's hands like a greased hog, and scurried up onto the desk. From there, he pushed off the dark wood in a gigantic hop, and winded up on top of the tallest filing cabinet. Only one problem.... He was afraid of heights! He started to cry.

Evel nodded, slipping off from the room to get them ALL some decent lunch and allow the girl to get better acquainted. As soon as the lights began going off the girl squealed in delight. She clapped her paws and wiggled her ears, trying to catch some of them. The little bunny girl cupped one of the stars as it drifted close enough and offered it to him, smiling.

The boy sauntered past the patient rooms and happened upon the one Maverick was staying at. A grin formed as he let himself in and approached his brother's bedside, reaching out to run a hand over his brow.

Grizz ran slap into the desk with a soft 'whud'. The man swore softly and wheeled on the rabbit, angry as he noticed the opened documents the child had left littered about the other side. He was about to say something of questionably harsh intent to it before the bunny hopped much too high for its own good and began sobbing. This caused him to relent a bit and toned down his annoyance. He stood beneath the cabinet and tried to reach him, "Come here, little...rabbit..thing. I won't hurt you."

Raizen had heard the announcement. The first thing he felt was relief. Then he felt his fly as he zipped it up, flushing bright red with both embarrassment and annoyance at Dragon for announcing it. Then he tore from the room, hiding his face from the others by looking down, and made his way to the office post haste. He closed the door and went to his love, kissing him before asking the million dollar question, "WHAT did you think you were doing announcing that my RABBIT is loose in the hospital?!!! There are lapiphobics in the mental ward!!!"

Dragon smiled, and kissed Raizen back. He hugged him too, and moved back, motioning to the cabinet. Reever was curled up on the very tippy-top of the filing cabinet, shivering, shaking, and crying. His ears were completely flat to his head, and his eyes closed in fear. If he had been any MORE terrified, he would have just melted into the wall in a puddle of bunnyboy goo.

Erik reached out to touch the star he was offered. smiling as he felt the warmth. Illusions in this context... weren't. They were temporary reality for him - and there was a certain charm in his casting that made it possible for him to get the most of out each and every spark of magic in the air with which to create toys and shinies for the bunnygirl. That, and he was having a good time doing it - even though he couldn't SEE her reaction, per se... He could feel it.

Raizen moved to the cabinet and pushed Grizzham lightly aside. He was taller and was able, with some doing, to reach up and get ahold of the bunny. The man gently pulled the rabbit down into his arms and kissed 'her' right between the ears. Poor little one, so frightened, and so lost. "My little one...I was so scared..." He then looked to Dragon and smiled sheepishly.

Grizz was glad the child was ok. He fawned over it for a moment before remembering the royal mess and turning his attention to Raizen. His foot tapped loudly as he crossed his arms, setting him with a look. "I expect this will be cleaned up..and my documents refiled..."

The feeling Amber was giving off was one of joyful innocence. She liked this person and the beautiful things he created. In the only language she knew she wiggled her nose and found herself catching more of the stars, giving them to him as she did. He was so nice. She would give him all the stars!

Evel was not so nice, but not exactly malicious either. He was sitting on Maverick's bed, waiting for the boy to waken, so he could "play" with him.

Evel wasn't going to get the chance. Maverick was out cold due to the medication, and waking him up would have been a bad thing. He moaned, though, and tossed in his sleep, so it was very clear that he was in no mood for Evel's type of 'play'.
Erik, however, was enjoying making things out of thin air for the bunny girl. After she brought him all the starts she could carry, he started again, making a larger display of puppy dogs and colorful balls. Even tossed in a rainbow or two, just for good measure.

Reever curled into Raizen, still trembling. DID not like heights. It was then, that he realized something. After kicking out the window, he'd gotten cut - and also filthy. One of the things that Grizz happened to store on his desk was a pad of black ink. And it was ALL. OVER the rabbit. He was covered head to toe in the stuff. Dragon eyed him.

"I think we need to take our daughter to bathe, Grizz..." he said, grimacing. "I'm sorry she's causing all this trouble. I'll have one of the custodians come clean this up for you..."

Evel was creative enough though. Erik wasn't the only one with some hallucinogenic ability and Evel proceed to manipulate a pillow into looking like a passed out Amber. That ought to do it. The man then whistled happily as he strode off to finally get some food for his brother and niece. It was a quick run to the canteen shop and back, and he tried not to disturb the child as he unloaded a good portion of different packages.

Amber was having some of the most fun she'd ever had. The little girl had never seen a rainbow before - let alone colorful stars, puppies, and orbs floating and bouncing around. Her pleasure was obvious as she laughed and joyfully pursued the images with her eyes, amazed by her uncle's magic.

Grizz nodded to Dragon and kneeled down to begin the cleaning, knowing it would be easier on the custodian and quicker if he helped relocate the files. "Fine, fine, just try not to get ink all over the place." Though that would probably be easier said than done. Raizen shrugged and smiled at his lover, departing with him to find a suitable place to get all the ink out of her fur.

Dragon sighed, and closed his eyes, thinking of a place to get the bunnygirl clean. He opened his eyes and grinned as his mind came up with an excellent idea.

"Why don't we take her to the nursery? They've got a bath there, and lots of new clothes. Getting her out of those clothes and into a pretty dress wouldn't be a bad idea..."

He looked to both Grizz, and Rai, tilting his head to see if they liked the idea.

Maverick wasn't going to wake up... BUT he inched his skele-arm around the impostor pillow. Perhaps there was something to the whole 'forced parenthood' thing.

Erik used most of his remaining energy to create a real puppy. A rainbow one. One that would be around for as long as Amber was. It took most of what he had left, so he yawned, stretched, and curled up - still sort of keeping an eye on the girl - in the metaphoric sense.

The idea was greeted with warm reception and Raizen could not suppress a soft squee. Dragon knew all too well how to play on his weaknesses. One of those weaknesses happen to being dressing up his daughters in frilly dresses. "Oh, can we? We can grab some of that honey shampoo from the pediatric ward and something in PINK! With lace, white lace, and a ribbon for her hair, and some little GLOVES! Ooo, and slippers..."

Grizz chuckled at Raizen's enthusiasm but nodded in agreement. "It would suit the girl. Why don't you two head on? I'll be there in a bit."

Raizen needed no further incentive. He kissed his lover and quickly left the room. As soon as he made it to the nursery he began running a bath and set the child down on one of the tables, where he began taking off the ink covered clothing.

Amber, on the other hand, was quite neat. It was love at first sight and she was nearly bowled over as she hugged into the puppy and giggled. The rabbit child closed her eyes and sighed in a content manner as the puppy wriggled and yipped, tail wagging, and eagerly showering her with kisses.

Dragon came into the area a few moments later, carrying a pink dress lined with white lace, some cute lacy gloves, little black shoes, white socks, and a jar of the shampoo that Rai had been talking about. He looked with disdain at the growing pile of inked clothing.

"Honestly, Rai - haven't you taught her that ink is not to be played in? I thought we went over that lesson with her after the 'dog incident'."

The incident which Dragon was speaking of was earlier in the week, where Amber had gotten into inks used to stamp things, and proceeded to hug the dog, getting the multi-colored stuff everywhere. It had taken hours to get her clean, and even longer to catch and wash the dog. Dragon laughed.

"Oh well - back to square one. Here - try dampening her fur first with this."

Meanwhile, Erik had essentially fallen asleep with his head in Evel's lap. Since the magic he'd used was permanent, he had to recharge.. but now Amber had a parti-colored playmate all her own! And what a playmate it was. The dog - a male - bounded around her, leapt, and generally made a fuss over his new master. He loved her. He was made to love her, so he loved her. And no one else. Well, unless he happened to meet Reever. Which Erik FULL well knew about.

Raizen took the dampened cloth and began running it over the ebony stained fur. It seemed to work well enough to clean the top coat, but she would still definitely need a more thorough washing. He got as much as he could off before removing the child's clothing to clean the areas it had seeped through the now ruined attire. All was well and good until Raizen noticed something distinctly...male...about his child. Ice blue eyes grew wide and he dropped what he was doing.

"WHAT THE HELL?! S-Since when were you a BOY?!!"

Evel gently stroked his lover's hair as the commotion carried. A grin of satisfaction played upon his features at the sound of Raizen's startled yelps from a distance. Ah, sweet music. He decided to take it one step further by hiding the girl and her puppy behind a large pillow. It would make things more...interesting.

Dragon was a bit awestruck himself, but then it dawned on him. From what Raizen had told him, his child had come from a pedant that looked like the moon.... So there HAD to be a sun, yes? Moon and sun went along - as did day and night. Well, almost the exact same way.

Once the realization hit him, he grinned wide, and turned to Rai, chuckling.

"Rai - love... I don't think this is our child. Remember the thing Amber came out of? It looked like a moon, right? What if.... there had been a sun to go along with that moon?"
PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:30 am

That made sense. Raizen shook his head a bit, resuming the child's cleaning - after all, he needed it regardless. It didn't take long for him to wonder aloud and in the fashion so common to them, both men wondered aloud, "If she came from the moon - then WHO had the sun?" Rai continued after that, "And how are we going to find our child? I mean, we can't exactly announce this..."

For a moment, Dragon thought... and thought... And the light switch in his brain flipped on. Who else had been acting odd? Who else was here, and not paying enough attention? Who else had been hiding things from Draco and Rai. Who else, but....

"Maverick!" Dragon and Raizen said the name at the exact same time.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 02, 2009 8:41 am

Rai could have shot himself for not noticing earlier. Maverick had been skipping along like some candy-crazed school girl for some time now. How had it NOT been obvious? Perhaps he had simply been too worried over his own child to really pay much attention. It was a silly oversight now that he looked at it and nodded. Rai hastily cleaned the boy off and got him dressed again, deciding to switch them right then.

The trip was a short one to Maverick's chamber. Rai set down the boy and began to shake his brother frantically, wanting his daughter back. "Maverick! MAVERICK wake UP Ma-" and then his eye caught sight of what looked like a dead rabbit in his arms. If the shaking hadn't woken him, the shriek probably would. It carried for a good few seconds before, upon closer inspection, he realized it was a toy. He chuckled ruefully as he prodded it, "Hehehe...stuffed..."

Maverick DID actually wake up this time, but he was groggy and more than a little loopy from drugs. He opened his eyes blearily, and blinked up at Raizen. Then quickly grabbed at the... pillow. Oh. My God.

"Reever!" he screamed. "Reever Reever! Where's Reever?!"
