Revival••• The cloud's thundered over head as beating feet tapped the pavement in a hurry disturbing the puddles of clear water gathering in the streets. Hushed voices passed from both of them shushed in the cloudy night by the storm that sucked their air from their lungs. Their clothes were taped to their bodies as they ran toward the towering golden gates that guarded the city. They hung open unwavering by any order from the gods and aiming for the exit the group ran. Sojo and Hymn both joined the group in their run for the exit. They were choked by the humidity of the storm god's had cast in prevention of their exit but they didn't know, their feet knew where to go.
As one body slipped pass and another past it too the gates began to shake as it recognized the god's as unallowables to go down to the world's below. The self imaging brainy gate began throwing off alarms of all styles as it screamed for help but the runners didn't shake in fear as they continued running. Their bodies shook in fear as they ran from the heavens and dove into the human world.
Hymn knew the trails through the forest well but Aevah stopped them as they ran. He didn't remember what she said by when her grip released his feet continued to carry him. Sojo was running from tree to tree aiming for the protective barrier their house provided from enemies and as the forest seemed to grow longer hymn noticed himself separate from his god. When the thunder shook the forest Hymn, startled, tripped among a tangle of roots and fell into the mud heavily.
"Umph!" he grumbled and hurrying to his feet the dust remained silent. It had all happened so fast, the rush to their escape after they were discovered doing some secret digging in the libraries. It had been a scary experience but Hymn figured they were in some deep trouble this time. It was the third time after all.
Wandering past a familiar path Hymn jumped onto it fast and ran to the house which held his security. His feet trailed up the stairs and through the house to his room quickly where he sat in silence amongst the darkness looking out the tall windows. His heart continued to beat as he tried to relax and the air around him beat with the sounds of the storm on the outside. Even the house was silent, nothing moved around him. Pleased with the darkness he the teen threw off his helmet and leaned back across the floor in the moonlight, trying to recall the trouble but he couldn't.
The darkness didn't exist, only the thrill of emotions.
He would have to remember. Hymn pulled the strands of hair from his eyes and looked out the shivering glass as the storm raged to reek them havoc. They were going to pay for reading restricted books, and especially ones over forbidden topics- and the gods seemed sure of it.

Destruction••• Thunder shook the house as lightening lit of the sky over the city. Hymn stared out his large window of his darkened bedroom at the storm sipping a cup of cider Sojo fixed earlier. The night was new but the storm was clearly visible over the horizon. It scared him to look into the unknown but his shoulders slouched as he relaxed. The storm was growing and coming this way so it could provide trouble. Moving his leg he scratched his calf before turning on the comfortable carpet and leaving the small bedroom onto the hallway where he slid down to the first floor finding Sojo curiously watching the storm in the same direction Hymn had been.
"It's coming this way Hymn, isn't it?" asked Sojo.
"Yes, I'm afraid so."
"What should we do then? I can protect the house only so much but that storm would destroy it."
"Put down the protections we can, we have to get to safety."
"Alright," said the motionless god moving slowly to a button on the wall which he pressed. The house suddenly sparked to live and large shades built into the ceilings lowered down covering the windows.
The house grew silent, the metal shades keeping out all form of sound. The movement of the shutters drained the backup supply and suddenly the lights throughout the house flickered off.
"Great just great, now Hymn what do we do?" asked Sojo, clueless in his panic.
"Just get downstairs, you know that. I must find something first." said Hymn pushing Sojo into the stairwell that led to the small cellar. The dust went the opposite direction back up the stairwell into his bedroom where the large window shook with the wind, the shutter over it holding off the best it could. The dust didn't have much time, pulling on a coat he slid the shutter up and the window open jumping out of the second story onto the ground.
He rolled on landing and stood up planting his feet against the ground holding against the wind. It was scary walking in this force as the rain beat around him. Pushing his body forward the dust arched his back to strengthen himself waving his hands as he tripped a couple times. The shed around the back of the house came in site and right before he turned the knob he heard a lost scream.
His head turned to see Sojo struggling to get his attention. Hymn stared and noticed his guardian was running toward him. The dust just sighed and held out his arm for Sojo to grab yanking the door open as the wind picked up. The moment it slammed open- everything went silent.
"Danget, Sojo get back inside!" ordered Hymn.
"No, your my responsibility. Hymn you may be able to use your abilities to protect you but come inside." argued Sojo.
"I will be fine, you know I can use illusions"
"The storm will STILL be there my son, now come." pleeded the god.
"Ugh!" griped Sojo as he looked to the far sky seeing the storm almost there. "Fine, let's go. We have only a few seconds."
He was right, just as the front door closed behind them the glass on it shattered, the wind was strong. "Tornado!" yelled Sojo, his voice lost in the howling wind.
Both of them scaled the staircase quickly hiding beneath it. Around them the house shook and Sojo concentrated on his spells around it, Hymn thinking about the object he was looking for- a trinket he didn't want to lose.
It was a short time before Sojo collapsed over and the howling wind really began shaking the house. A crack, shattering glass, everything spinning around. All Hymn could to was wait.
A crack spooked the dust as the door above snapped cracking down the middle just before the noise vanished. A few more minutes, than Hymn stood leaving behind his guardian who slept. The dust moved up the stairs carefully and pusked open the broken door. The house was in ruins, windows and beams were shattered. Almost the entire second floor had fallen through onto the first. Pushing open the last door Hymn laughed, seeing the library still intact.
"So that's what he was saving, only the windows are broken here." he laughed and turned to the phone and connected it to the city. The lines were fine, and when he asked about the cities condition he realized no damage had been done there.
Now they had to rebuild- once Sojo woke up.

Moving?!••• Hymn had made it back from Helena after a rightfully enjoying day meeting a new dust. The teenager was learning not to interfere as much as many dusts needed to learn for themselves. As he walked he let his hands swing beside him keeping his eyes closed. He knew the path he was taking through the forest by heart so he didn't need to rely on his eyes.
The moment the sweet smell of breakfast hit his nose the dust only grinned, it seemed as if Sojo knew he was coming home- the guy was a god after all. Only smiling the dust moved slowly up through the rounded staircase into the main part of the house. There were boxes all along the sides of the wall, stacked and piled with items of Sojo and Hymn looked at them before his eyes slowly scanned the room.
"We're- moving?" the dust asked a frightful expression on his face.
"Yes, into Amies, I figured it was about time you had some communication, and I need to be around people more. Is that alright?" Sojo asked holding Hymn a plate with some food on it.
The dust was only frozen in his spot, he had been sent out for this, so Sojo could pack?! As his blood began boiling he grew even more angry, his placid mood being ruined, and dropped the plate letting it shatter around his feet.
"I don't want to move." snapped Hymn, he'd never really yelled but this seemed too much.
"You have no choice, the house will vanish within the next four hours."
"But how?"
"You remember I am a god yes, and the fact that this isn't really a clearing, but I feel our time here is done." Sojo whispered.
Still grumpy the dust pushed up to his room without eating and fell on the empty floor. His "father" had even taken the liberty of packing up his own belongings. It irritated him but instead of getting matter than he needed too the dust pushed back the hair in his face and closed his eyes.
He would have to live around humans, like Cada. It wouldn't be that bad, maybe he would become a bit happier, after all he was changing. The only word he'd heard about it was hormones, though Hymn doubted it was anything like that.
Sighing he pushed off the carpet floor back to his feet and began humming slowly descending the stairs. "Fine, what's our house like?" he asked.
"You'll see, it's just off the square, very nicely decorated, still sort of secluded but not at the same time." Sojo explained loading the boxes into a carriage.

July 29,2009••• Dear Journal,
Wow- it's been over a year since I touched my journal itself- sort of miss it. Anyways- so Sojo and I just recently traveled back to Helena to do this tour thing where we worked on someones farm and just had a lot of fun. It was a big bonding experience for us- I figured out a lot about him.
Since time has passed, I've learned a lot about Sojo and I guess more about myself. That I need to be more open and accepting of how things are, and just let time take it's course. I've been having fun lately- meeting the dusts, enjoying myself.
Sojo told me yesterday I had been changing, especially the way I carry myself. His words were: "Your not so Mr. Uptight and Closed anymore, it's kind of nice seeing you happy."
We both couldn't help but laugh.
Laughing- is something new also, I just started doing it more, well- letting myself doing it. It gives this really warm feeling, like when I'm with Cada but not the same way..
Anyways- I think that's all, I'm out. Time to go do some gardening.
-Hymn.

Gardening••• Beams of sun penetrated the path of land stuffed between towering homes back to back and side to side with Hymn and Sojo's own home. Stuffed down an alley way their house was probably built to occupy space and due to its inconvenient location the two of them could never have anything delivered. On this sunny summers day the wind blew through the leaves sending a few spinning to the ground as heat surrounded the inside and out of the older home. It's inside was spaciously decorated as the last had been unpacked the week previous.
Two familiar sets of feet moved separately in the house, Hymn up in his room and Sojo in the kitchen. Hymn was unpacking the suitcase from the trip Sojo and himself had just returned from. As the climax of the day came to a close Hymn finished, stuffing the last of the clothes in his drawers or hamper- wherever they belonged.
Pulling out a new T-shirt he threw it over his bare chest and slid his hands along a few pieces of furniture. Home. That's where he was now. Rolling his eyes Hymn opened the door and turned down the small hallway towards the creaking staircase. Right before he could wander out of the house Sojo waved him over handing him a few seeds. "No store today, just go plant these." his guardian instructed him instantly turning back to their dinner.
The dust stared blankly for a moment but shrugged holding the packets of seeds up to his eyes. "Tomatoes, Potatoes, Carrots, Lettuce, Onions, Strawberries, and tree seeds." he counted looking over the packets. So Sojo wanted the front yard to become a garden, fine.
Smiling he went over to the closet and pulled out bags, transferring them to the porch. It was wood chippings, fertilizer, all his tools, some walking stones, and more.
Looking out into the yard he went and sorted through everything dropping piles of items and bags of seeds where they would go. Staring for a moment the dust mumbled and moved it around again, and again, and again. Finally he got something he liked, a small bath from their front gate to their front step would weave past the fruits, the vegetables would be on the larger and sunnier side, the trees transplanted evenly in the yard.
Hopefully their neighbors wouldn't be mad with the shade they would be providing. Smiling he got started digging holes in the clean ground and laying some seeds out, covering them with the dirt and fertilizer. After a few moments he had all the seeds planted and labeled, its not like it was that hard.
His question was- would they grow? No idea.
Flipping the switch to the valve for water Hymn stepped back to grab the hose only avoiding a splash of water from the sprinklers. "What the!" he jumped. As his annoyance grew he turned towards the front doors and saw Sojo smiling. "Ugh! Your doing is it?" he mumbled resisting the urge to smile.
Turning once more the dust looked at the new garden and couldn't help but start humming as he leaned back against a pole watching the beads of water catch sunlight as they fell. Truly unique, the way the sun worked. Hymn didn't quite understand the exact cycle of life, but he was coming to terms with it now.
It was interesting- finding all these things new all around him. Why hadn't he seen them before? Sojo just said it's how you grow- you learn to see what you didn't see.
That confused him completely, but he was coping. A satisfied smile on his face widened when he was handed a cup of juice to drink while observing their garden.
"Quit making me feel older." Sojo teased taking a sip of his own tea before they both departed inside for dinner.
