Snap
That was one huge Zap Cannon, and it was headed straight for Frey! There was no time to dodge, the pidgeotto was already headed dead on at the mew and it was too late to veer off course. The beam of white and yellow light hit the bird with a crack! like thunder and flashes like lightning. The smell of burnt feathers drifted through the air. Frey was hit hard and started to fall towards the salt water below, going into shock (so to speak).
"Frey! Don't land in the water!" Sienna shouted. She could ask him if he was okay in a minute, right now she had to get him to focus. "Thief!"
Frey snapped out of his stupor at the sound of his trainers voice, and quickly flipped himself upright in the air before darting suddenly towards the Mew, stretching his talons out towards her.

Shadow mew swerved out of the way of the sizzling pidgeotto. She did not feel sorry for the powerful attack and she did not feel happy about it, either. It just happened to be really powerful, and that was all there was to it.
"Ancent Power!" Zinnia commanded from her trainer's box. She wanted to start celebrating now, but she held it in.
Shadow Mew made more sandy chunks rise up to meet Frey.

Frey was showered with sand once more, he had no strength to make a fuss about it this time and silently shook it off.
"Hang in there, buddy. Faint Attack!" Sienna commanded. She knew Frey wouldn't last much longer.
The pidgeotto wearily glided on heavy wings towards the Mew. When there was only a few feet of airspace between them, he suddenly rushed forward with all the strength he had left.

Shadow Mew couldn't dodge the tricky attack in time and winced quietly. She floated away from the tired bird and prepared for the next attack
"Surf!" shouted Zinnia.
Shadow Mew floated low over the ocean part of the field. A wave swelled, then rose high. As the black mew floated higher, the wave rose until it was more of a tsunami. The mew released the wave and flew off, allowing it to take down Frey on its own.

Sienna held up her arms to shield herself from the spray of the huge, crashing wave of water from the surf attack. She cracked open an eye to look for Frey. But he wasn't there. "Frey?!" Sienna called. "Otto~" Sienna looked up, there he was! Miraculously before the wave hit, he had flow up as high as he could. "Great job! Use U-Turn!"
Frey circled at the top of the stadium before plummeting downwards. He went in a stoop towards the Shadow Mew propelled by gravity and steering with his wings.

Zinnia was frustrated now. "Zap Cannon!" she ordered.
There wasn't time to make a large cannon again, so Shadow Mew made a small sparking orb. When Frey hit her with the U-Turn, she released it. He would have a hard time dodging that!

It was indeed impossible to dodge, especially with Frey's draining strength. The small, sparkling orb made a solid hit and made a small explosion of sparks in a flash of light when it collided with Frey. The pidgeotto tumbled out of the air.
Sienna beamed him away before he had a chance to go for a soak in the salty ocean-like water. The trainer muttered praise and other complements to his pokeball as she made her way to the Pokecenter.
