Guinevere looked sideways at Nikolai, some considerable surprise showing in her expression. "Of course I would," she said simply. "What did you think, I would just let you stay here all alone and get malnourished?" She frowned at him mock-severely. "No, Nikolai, I'm afraid you're definitely stuck with me." She took a long sip from her own juicebox and looked disappointedly at it when it was empty. She wished that she could check up on Aaron and make sure he was eating properly. At least Nikolai's leaving hadn't been that bad, and she was glad about it. "Thanks." she said to him absentmindedly, and then realized something else. "You've said a lot today."

Chuckling softly, the boy smiled and looked up at the cloudy sky overhead. "Yeah...." Even when he was with Jade, Nikolai hadn't been able to speak this much. Guinevere was different... but perhaps that was because she was a Herald like him. Jade would never know how he felt deep down inside, and he could never come to stay with her knowing what he'd done. Bowing his head, the boy continued to smile as he closed his eyes. "Thank you... for everything, Guinevere."

Guinevere shook her head. She didn't do anything, nothing that anyone else wouldn't have done for Nikolai. Right? The Herald traced a finger in the dust sheepishly. "I owe you some thanks too." she admitted. The fact she could talk to him, she could open up to him meant a lot. She was pushy, yes, she was bold, yes, but she was never open around many people. She distracted herself from the real world and looked down on people more than she'd like to admit. Being able to make Nikolai smile... That meant a lot to the raven haired girl.
