Ivy scrunched her eyes together in pain and chomped down her teeth together, she would not cry out in pain, she would not cry out in pain, she would not.... cry.... out.... in.... "ESTO DUELE" She let out in a small voice, the most she would let out around HIM. It hurts, she'd said, atleast she'd said it in a language he couldn't understand, she hoped. She wouldn't look at him, she couldn't. She was mad still, now more mad at the fact that she'd fallen. Somehow though, she still found a way to blame him.
She stared at him, through slitted eyes as he danced around her, like she was violent.... well she was, but he didn't know that for sure, he was just jumping to conclusions. She took in a few shallow breaths, trying not to think about her ankle, trying to fight through the pain. She knew of quite a few different types of plants to take away the pain, she didn't need him. She looked at him, and through her teeth growled out "I'm FINE."

He couldn't understand what she'd said... oh dear. More Spanish, and angry. You do know how to pick the difficult ones, don't you? But there was simply no mistaking her tone or expression.
Once he was satisfied that this wasn't just intended to get his face close enough to her hooves to get a good crack at him, Morrow inspected the ankle in question. Was it possible that it was broken...? Probably just a sprain, but either way. "Careful, there." A thoughtful frown creased his features, and his manner changed subtly as he spoke -- no longer the arrogant teasing voice, but a more no-nonsense, concerned one. "Do you think you can stand?" He positioned himself close enough to her that she could lean on him for support or balance if needed -- getting to one's feet with one ankle out of commission couldn't be easy, after all. "If you're not sure, don't try it -- best not to risk further damage."
A quick mental review of the plants he'd been collecting came up with few that would be useful, but he did recall seeing a willow just a short run away -- willow bark, always good for pain, and if she had sprained that ankle it'd keep the inflammation down as well. Still, he wasn't about to go haring off to grab some until he was sure of her condition.

Ivy was taking in shallow breaths, trying to work through the pain, her guardian was trying to calm her down, because the more she worked herself up over the pain, the more she'd be aware of it. Her eyes were still closed, she couldn't see the expression on his face, but she could hear the concern in his voice. She nodded her head. "Maybe." She said, a nicer tone, it was hard for her to be mean when someone was trying to be nice.
Ivy put out her front two legs, and pushed off of them with as much weight as the two could hold, trying to balance and stand with just one back leg. She nearly fell again, but thankfully, she fell into Morrow. She let out a huff, and straightened herself up again.
"What does it matter to you, if I'm hurt or not?" she asked, trying to still play tough, but not doing as good a job as it as she would have liked. Truth be told, she was slightly confused as to the intentions behind the help, he didn't want to sleep with her, so why was he helping her?

Morrow took the added weight on his shoulder easily, having braced himself for her to lean on him anyway. Not like she weighed much, either, not compared to the solidly built mountain buck. He was a little surprised when she straightened up and away from him, but it did seem to fit. She just had to prove her independence.. "Does it feel broken? That is, can you put any weight on it at all, or does it hurt even with no weight on it?"
He ignored the question of why he was helping her. It was just... what he did, that's all. A natural response. Not out of softheartedness or affection or because she was attractive, but simply because she needed help of the kind that he could provide. So why shouldn't he?
He needed to get her to solid ground if possible, so that she could rest if needed without having to lie down in the swamp water and muck. Quite apart from issues of comfort, there were things that lived in the water... The closest looked like where he'd been standing when he first spotted her. "If we can make it over there, you can rest a bit while I find something to help with the pain. Sound like a plan?"
