Just_Alicia_O gina787 Hermione Granger
"Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies." That is said by Umbridge, not Voldie. "There is no good or evil: only power and those too weak to seek it." Who said it? And this was by Voldie, although he was on the back of Quirell's head. Just wanted to clear that up, because I saw they were wrong.
That is rather confusing, Alicia. Especially since the first quote is indeed said by Voldemort. It was said in Dumbledore's memory in HBP 20, in response to Dumbledore's remark: Quote: "Rumors of your doings have reached your old school, Tom. I should be sorry to believe half of them." Voldemort's expression remained impassive as he said, "Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies. Surely you must know this, Dumbledore." "You call it "greatness,' what you have been doing, do you?" asked Dumbledore delicately. And if you look it up, the other one didn't need to be corrected either, as the full quote is when Harry is trying to keep Quirrell from concentrating on the mirror: Quote: "He's with me wherever I go," said Quirrell quietly. "I met him when I traveled around the world. A foolish young man I was then, full of ridiculous ideas about good and evil. Lord Voldemort showed me how wrong I was. There is no good or evil, only power, and those too weak to seek it..." And while I'm looking things up, Voldemort did not say the quote "Would you like me to do it now? Or would you like a moment to compose an epitaph?" It is actually said by Snape, in his memory, talking to Dumbledore about Albus's death.
To answer the previous post, Dumbledore said the quote: "Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean that it is not real?"
And my quote for the next is: "Now, Snape,... the young lady is disturbed in her mind, we must make allowances---" Who said it?
