Seriously guys, I remember why I've been avoiding ED right now:

Overweight: Yes, 12 size jeans ARE TOO BIG

This is another off-topic issue, but it does have to do with bodily domain, "you did it to yourself, now suffer" arguments, and treating women like public property. Take this lovely comment from page 7:
Stygian Soleil
People tend not to make fun of terminal patients because they're dying. Unless is a fat person is dying from diabetes brought on by their weight, then they're fair game. Also, the people who smoke and drink their organs into oblivion do so because they're suffering from an addiction which causes them to do so.

There is no such thing as an addiction to food.

There are more like this. ******** you, Gaia. Can I report this s**t as hate speech against large people or should I fight it out?!

Phaedra, you rock for confronting these hateful dudes with their hateful attitudes. It's good to see the thread got deleted.

anti-women attitudes are taken for granted...

even pop psychology and pop science (or junk science, I shall say) have been hostile to women.

But yah, it's one thing for people to start taking responsibility in taking care of their bodies, but the "fat hate" targets women in a way that it simply does not culturally target men.

And btw, he was wrong that food isn't addictive at all. Allergenic foods can be very addictive to its sufferers. Wheat and Dairy are very, very addictive. Corn Syrup and Msg are certain ingredients that make people eat more of the food than they normally would have. Simple table sugar is addictive. etc etc.

Here's a good blog on fat and feminism: http://the-f-word.org/blog/ I may not agree with every single idea there, but it's still good.
