Well actually I don't mind when I see kids that age *not that I'm much older-I'm only 16* but middle school is the time all about fitting in and cliques and doing what the media says is cool- or not doing what the media says is cool- to make a what they call a "statement."
usually by high school, they grow out of it. However, everyone seems to like bashing emo and scene kids but I don't see how people who would bash them are any better when they claim being gothic or punk or grunge or what the heck ever they like to call themselves. That irritates me. *sigh*
And how is it any better when adults go around saying they're goth or whatever? I see no difference except that they both look down at re other clique with disdain. Neither is very mature.
Where is this magical high school you speak of?
I would really like to transfer there.
gonk I don't claim to be anything but myself.
@Pink: Point taken. I only made this thread specifically about 12 year olds because well... that's what they were
sweatdrop @X-MissSpookeyness-X: Indeed. But I decided not to get into a row with them.
I'm not even British and I just said "row" instead of "fight"... wow.
But anyways, I agree. His older work is much better, though I do enjoy all of his work.
I do hate when people think that HE wrote Tainted Love/Sweet Dreams/that other one I cannot remember suddenly.
I can't even imagine if I had been wearing a Slipknot shirt and they would have said something about it to me. I would have probably punched them in the stomach. Or face. Whichever I was feeling at the time.
