((Oops...I just realized that the day's Sunday...and therefore there wouldn't be school...do you guys want me to edit my post?))
As the limousine left her neighborhood, Ainsley took the time to compose herself. Finding a compact her friends insisted she carried on her, she studied her face before starting to apply make-up in an attempt to hide the redness. She succeeded slightly, though she couldn't get rid of the sniffles or the puffiness of her eyes. Putting the make-up away, she dug into her backpack, messing up the neatly folded clothes for a book. Pulling out Just Listen by Sarah Dessen, she let herself slip down the leather, loosing herself in the chapters.
She barely noticed when the smooth ride came to a stop, only looking up when she heard voices. She had left the window down, forgetting about it after her mother was out of sight. She could see a young girl, and wondered if she actually even reached high school. Instinctively, she knew that she had also gotten a letter, so that would mean that more people would be joining them. Another woman, who's resemblance made her believe she was her mother, was talking to her. Ainsley turned her head back to her book, attempting not to eavesdrop. She felt rude for overhearing, but once she noticed her mind made it impossible to ignore. Her eyes widened after hearing the girl's mother, and she frowned thinking of her own mother's reaction. Could this lady truly be so cruel? Then it was a good thing that this new girl was leaving her. Ainsley was determined to befriend the younger girl, to show her what love and friendship meant.
She waited for the door to shut behind the new woman before raising her head to meet her gaze. She was surprised to only find one eye, not both staring at her, but she still gave her a warm welcoming smile. It faltered when the second eye closed, hiding its brown? no, it was closer to gold, amber maybe shade? Was she going to immediately go to sleep without introducing herself? Where was her curiousity? It seemed natural to want to know who you were riding with.
She hesitated, not wanting to upset her by talking if she truly was trying to sleep. When the eyes reopened, a grin brightened her face. Even though this new girl was obviously ignoring her, she held out her hand. "Hello. My name is Ainsley. Do you have any idea what we're supposed to be doing here?" She kept her voice soft, hoping to create a conversation. If she was going to be living with this new girl, then friendship was absolutely necessary.

((Na you don't have to...Its fine. Nice work on the first posts guys.))
Dakota was up in her room. Suddenly her door slamed hard against the wall as Dakota rushed out. "Steven!!! Steven!!! WHERE THE CRAP IS STEVEN!!! She was in a panicked rush to get everything perfect before her guests would arrive. She had carefully hand picked each and every last guest. Some people might consider it stalking but she had to make sure EVERY person was just what she needed.
She paused at the bottom of the stairs like she always did. She closed her eyes for a half a second before, like always, jumping the last stair. "Where is Steven...I need a progress report...NOW!!" A few people started scurring around to find him, not wanting Dakota's wrath to be on them. She decided to check out the kitchen, just incase he decided to take a break and snack.
She entered the huge kitchen with once again slamming the door against the wall. Anyone who was idle in the kitchen now became suddenly frantic looking for something to make them look like they were working. Yoh! Are you hidding Steven?" She stood in the center of the kitchen with her arms crossed.

Anna opened both her eyes, then turned her head to fix them on the other girl in the car. Ainsley, she was called. Well, the girl was really trying to be kind. No doubt she had heard her mother talking to her. In spite of herself, Anna allowed a small smile to cross her face as she observed the girl across from her. She took the larger hand in hers.
"I'm Anna. And, no, I really haven't the faintest idea. Just that I got a letter that told me to come. You, too?" Anna's voice was quiet and organized, almost melodic. Once again, it was yet another picture that she knew what she was doing. The truth, however, was quite the opposite. She was in a strange limo going to God knows where, talking to an older girl who probably had no experience in an irregular household, about some crazy letter that had been sent to them with no return address telling them to wait for the very limo they were in now. And they were trying to make sense of it.
If this wasn't insanity at it's peak, Anna didn't know what was.
((Sorry for the short Anna post. God, second one and I already have writer's block. -_-))
~!~
Yoh had been sleeping on his stool by the kitchen counter, but at Dakota's yell he snapped awake and fell over sideways off of the wooden seat and onto the tiles of the kitchen. Then he got up and faced Dakota, using his full foot above her to prove that he still hadn't figured out how to care about her antics. "How should I know? I've been asleep! Don't yell at me, yell at them!"
((And Yoh's is even shorter. This is getting bad. >.>))

((It's okay xXBisexual FlanXx; it makes me feel better because I know not all of my posts will be long. There isn't but so much we can post until we reach the mansion. I just figure the characters already in the limo can at least meet a little.))
Ainsley nodded as she shook her hand. She couldn't help but notice that Anna's voice had such a relaxed tone to it. It made her want to curl up and snuggle into something because everything was organized and under control. "Yeah, I still am in a state of shock. I'm not sure if I made a mistake coming, or if this is just a dream and I never got the letter." Lee felt strongly that honesty was the only way to connect with someone. "Either way, I'm almost positive I'm insane, just as a warning." She flashed her white teeth at her, a brightness emitting from her. "So, what's your name?"
((Oh and Krazy Michelle Ranak? I don't think I ever got cookies. Did you Bi-flan?))

((OK, cause sometimes my posts end up really short. I prefer when they don't get short, because that makes me look like I forgot how to write. >.> Also, Ainsley asked Anna for her name right after Anna told her. I'm going to imagine that was a glitch and ignore it. -_-))
Anna shrugged. "A dream. That would be nice if it were true, but I got a paper cut on the letter, and it hurt, so I suppose that means it's all real. Plus, I've never been in a limo. If it was a dream, this would be far more extravagant. Besides..." Anna smiled at Ainsley. "We're having the same dream, and we've never met. That's a supernatural phenomenon, right there. Bam." Anna let go of Ainsley's hand to make a 'jump-onto-the-bandwagon' motion with hers.

((Yep, I completely understand, especially if you use a small font. It looks like a decent amount when you're typing it, but when you post it, its only a couple of lines. I'm always so disappointed.))
Ainsley laughed, a pure, joyful sound. She grinned. "True, true. Except for the extravagant limousine. I've never been in one either, but this seems to be top stuff. She pressed the button that pulled out the tissues from the seat. "It's incredible. I just know my imagination's not good enough to come up with everything this limo has." There were a lot of buttons, maybe 10, but that was enough to please Lee.
She pressed another button, unsure of what the result would be A thin table appeared, seemingly completely level. She pressed an rectangular indentation on the table, and grinned when a deck of cards popped out. "Wanna play E.R.S.?" She started passing out the cards without waiting for an answer. "It's not as much fun with only two people, but I doubt we're going to be the only ones in this limousine."
((It also seems like sometimes I ramble too much in my posts...if I start doing that too often, just tell me...I won't be mad, I'd rather know sooner than realize it later and be more embarrassed.))

((I know. I'm in another RP where I use the regular size font, and since I'm used to size 10 by now, I'm always shocked at how much text it looks like I have.))
Anna shrugged. "Nah, if it was a dream, it wouldn't really be so much as a car as a five-star hotel on wheels." She propped herself up via elbow to fist rest. "I'd be happy to play, but first of all, I have a question." Anna gave Ainsley a second to ponder before she finished. "You're going to teach me how to play. I hope you don't mind." Her facial expression was gone again, but she had already shown that she could use them, and so her stony face seemed a little less intimidating. "Although, I have to admit, I think there may be more coming as well."

((Well, in real life, I write really really small, so that's why I usually use the smaller fonts.))
Ainsley grinned. "That's no problem. Egyptian Ratscrew's slightly confusing but one-on-one is the easiest way to learn." She finished dealing out the entire deck, so each girl had half.
"It sorta starts off similar to war. And the point of the game is to end up with all the cards. Everyone has their own pile, and when it's your turn, you place the card in the middle." She demonstrated as she spoke. "If its a number card, it doesn't matter, but if it's a face card, the next player has a certain number of chances to lay down a face card themselves. That depends on what the card is: if it's an Ace its 4, a king has 3, Queen 2 and Jack 1." She counts the types off on her fingers.
"If the player doesn't lay down a face card, the middle pile goes to the first player. They do, then it is the next player's turn to attempt to get a face card." She runs a hand through her hair, as if considering telling her a extra perk to the game. "There is another way to get the middle pile. You have to slap the pile. You can do this when there is 'sandwiches,' 'doubles,' 'marriages,' etc. We won't play with them this time, but if you play it later, they might come up." She smiles a little sheepishly at Anna. "I know it sounds a little confusing, and I'm sorry, if you want to play something simple we can."
((I'm really really really bad at explaining things. If you want actually instructions, here you go. Sorry.))

((Zehohmg! I know that game! I just couldn't remember what it was called. The people I played with made a 'sissy' rule, which is that if you don't slap the table hard enough you don't get the cards. I haven't played that game since Summer vacation.))
"It's alright. I think I played it before, or something like it. I can't remember, it was a long time ago." Anna leaned forward slightly, testing the table to see if it would break. It didn't, and she leaned on it. "Do you want to start this one, or should I?" She thought about the types Ainsley had told her about. She didn't know what a 'marriage' type was, but she assumed it was a king and queen or something of the like.

((lol, yeah, we play it all the time in band. I haven't heard of the sissy rule, but I probably would hardly ever get the cards. The only bad thing is that everyone plays differently, so I will slap like affairs or gay marriages when the people I'm playing with are like, wtf? So I have to put a card underneath the pile. It sucks.))
Ainsley brightened. If Anna had played before, it didn't matter if her instructions were confusing. "Well, since I dealt you start." She pushed her cards together, creating a neat little pile. "You can pick the speed we play, since sometimes people play incredibly fast." The young brunette leaned back into the comfort of the seats, patiently waiting for her to begin. "If you get the hang of it, we can add various slaps. Okay?" Ainsley was beginning to really like this younger girl.

Dakota almost laughed when she saw Yoh fall in the floor. But her eyes were still pericing as she looked up into his face. "Maybe you would know if you were busy doing what you were supposed to be doing and not sleeping. The guests will be here tomarrow and I really don't want to have to deal with last, last minute things because some people WON'T WORK!" As she finished her last statement she nodded her head and turned to leave the kitchen. She paused at the door and half turned around back toward Yoh. "Sorry about inturrpting your nap. I know I've been working everyone really hard lately. I just want to make sure everything is as close to perfect as possible." No one ever knew what exactly the 17 year old had going on in her head.

((Ah, it's basically so people don't slap so often because everyone goes at once and everyone slaps the shnaggits out of everyone else. Also with the sissy rule, if you slap something incorrect, everyone will punch you really hard on the hand and arm. It really hurts, but I hardly ever get that much of it because everyone I play with is like two years older than me, and they all feel bad if they hit me too hard. It's great being a girl. XD))
"OK. But when we get to that, you'll have to explain marriages. I have no clue what that is. Is it a king and queen, or something? I know everything else, so I might just slap something randomly. Sorry if that's a bother." Anna took a moment to restore the memory to her brain, then put down a card. It was a number card, the six of spades. Anna used to play really fast, but at how slowly she slapped it down compared to how fast she used to be, she could tell she needed practice. A lot of it.
~!~
"Yeah, yeah. They won't expect everything to be perfect, Dakota-sama. People can pretend they expect it to be perfect, but they don't, not really. Besides, it's hard enough for me to do anything with nothing that I'm supposed to do. I don't really cook things for dinner in advance..." Yoh smiled at Dakota, then turned and leaned his back against the kitchen counter. "So what do you want for dinner? Since the guests are coming tomorrow, it's your last day to have whatever you want."

((Yep, I love taking advantage of people being nicer to me than everyone else...))
Ainsley shrugged a little, as she placed a card down on top of the six. It was a three of diamonds, causing the turn to pass effortlessly to Anna "It's not a bother whatsoever. I'm not wonderful at the game, so all I'm hoping for is to win once before you remember everything." She grinned at the girl unashamedly. Ainsley had a bad habit of not paying complete attention to detail, so she would frequently miss potential 'slaps' until it was too late. "And marriages are just between a king and a queen. There can be affairs between queens and jacks, as well as gay marriages between a king and a jack. Though I suppose technically, that's still an affair." She shrugged, not really caring because you had to slap both anyway. "There are pretty much any variety of slap-ins. Runs, doubles and sandwiches are the ones I see most often. But honestly, as long as both people agree with what they'll be in the beginning, it doesn't matter what you make up. Like divorces, for example. It's a marriage (king and queen) with a card in between."

Dakota agreed. She knew that everyone makes mistakes. Even genius's like her. Though only she really knew she was a genius. Everyone else just kind of figured she was. She shook the thoughts about mistakes out of her head, determined not to let that thing that happened 3 years ago bother her now. That was exactly why she was doing what she was doing. She put her finger up to her lips and thought about it for a minute. "We can take a poll of what everyone else wants to eat and fix it. Besides...this is my house. I can have whatever I want anytime I want it. She raised her eyebrow before picking her vibrating phone out of her pocket and putting it on speaker. "Yea what is it?" "Umm..Ms. Dakota...I think we might have found Steven...you may just want to come here and see for yourself...We're 'round back." A thousand thoughts when through the girls mind at one time but none of them showed on her face. "Right...I'll be there in a minute." She raised both her eyebrows as she put the phone back in her pocket. Her eyes were full of consern but that was the only emotion on her face. "You wanna come with? I'm pretty sure what's back there isn't good... She turned towad the back entrance to the kitchen. She got to the door and looked back at Yoh.

((I know. Awesome, isn't it?))
Anna flipped down a seven of hearts, passing the turn back to Ainsley. "Heheh. Gay marriages. What if you get two queens? Like twincest? Would that work? I think I used to play with twincest...it's not just queens, it's also two jacks and two kings. Don't ask where we got the idea for twincest. Let's just say we were reeeeaaally bored and one or two of us were watching too much OHSHC. And it wasn't me who got drunk on anime. Trust me on this one."
((The worst part about this post is that it comes straight from my life. I got high on Oran High School Host Club one day and then I basically told everyone that if you got two face cards of the same type in a row it was 'twincest'. It didn't really catch on because you almost never get two of the same type of face cards in a row, and if you do it counts as a pair. It sucked because it only happened once and it was 2 in the morning by then. I didn't have the reflexes to yell 'twincest!' before someone else could yell 'pair!' I'm noticing that these OOC's are getting to be longer than my actual posts. I'm sorry. I really am.))
~!~
Yoh smiled at Dakota's concerned look. "Is someone afraid of what is probably a corpse? Don't worry, we'll get rid of the evidence if the cops think it was you. By cooking it. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to make human flesh into a tasty snack. You probably won't even notice." He gave her one of those 'I'm-probably-kidding-but-I-might-not-be-so-watch-out' looks, then took off his mushroom hat, slid his headphones down around his shoulders, and followed her out of the kitchen.
