Kia hadn't looked towards the girl once, but now that she did she smiled, "Welcome home sunshine. You've had one of the best entrances to date. Don't let Nurse Stick-Up-The-a** ruffle your feathers. By the way you talk I slightly understand why you're here. All I can say is good luck." After that she fell silent and looked up at one of the nurses once he strolled in.
"Miss Anderson can I trust you not to go back into isolation so soon? You really should spend time out here with your friends. It isn't nice to frighten them or make people uncomfortable. Please be good today." pleaded the nurse running a hand through his hair while watching everyone else slightly.
Kia smiled and rolle her eyes, "Shove it scrubs. We aren't all as crazy as you think, but if you're activities are asking me to do something stupid, first step to isolation is what I'll take." After that she stood so she could change the way she was seated, "And anyway, if I really wanted to be dead so bad, I would have done it by now. Can't say those drugs weren't a slight pleasant surprise.

How crazy do you think she is? Mattie couldn't help asking her friends. She seemed rebellious, and had apparently been in 'isolation' frequently, but she couldn't help but think with Mad she'd be spending a decent amount of time there to.
The only reason she's crazy is from being in here too long. Mad seemed to have formed a kind of respect for the girl's slightly coarse attitude. Let's go over there and socialize So she can 'frighten' us some more.
Matt seconded the suggestion, She is kinda cute, I think she might like me." He gave a lopsided grin, mentally smoothing his hair back.
Madeline was the one who reminded him that he was in a girl's body, so the only way she would like him would be if she was a lesbian. And therefore she wouldn't like her. However, she agreed to greet the girl, We have a few months before we're eighteen. That will seem like a long time. We'll need an ally. And as few enemies as possible. She stopped reading, studying the two occupants of the room.
Mattie didn't have any desire to argue with them. She preferred to stay by herself, since it removed any possibly of teasing. However, it was polite to respond...even if the girl wasn't polite in the slightest.
Mad gently stroked her mind, a comforting touch. If she hurts you at all, she'll be dead whether she really wants it or not. Mad was very protective of the other three, and had the ability to make a threat sound like the sweetest thing possible.
Mattie rose from the comfort of the chair, tucking the book under her arm. She went over to the new girl, and held out her hand. "I'm Mattie..." She trailed off unsure if she should introduce everyone else.

Kia slowly turned her head from the big window and looked at the hand. She inspected the soft looking skin and rounded nails. "Sorry, but it's considered repectful here not to touch people. You never know who might try to rip your arm off for getting in their space, so I would put that down if I were you. The nurses don't want us getting THAT friendly anyway, just gotta tolerate eachother." She turned her eyes back to the sky and shrugged, "Anyway I'm Kia. Nice to meet you blah blah blah. If you get the rules on the wall the first time your safe, one everyone's seen you around enough you get to bend the rules. Learning names one by one is safer then walking around trying to talk to everyone. Take me for instance, now that we've apparently met you are only safe to who I introduce you to next. Got all that?" She crossed her arms and looked back at Mattie again.

Mattie pulled her hand back and listened to the rant. Just tolerate each other? Wow, that's a lot different then, what did Kia call her, Nurse Stick-Up-The-a**? said. Hearing her question, she directed her answer mentally, Not at all. Mattie was confused. What did she mean, rules on the wall? Did any of you? Each of them began to supply the information they understood, knowing together (mainly with Madeline's help) they'd figure it out.
All I know is that she has nice lips. Matt unhelpfully supplied. Oh, and we should stay with her...For our safety, of course. He wasn't actually positive about that part, but he knew she mentioned something about safety and he wanted to be around her. So it had to be sort of accurate, right?
Mad rolled her eyes, giving Matt a glare, She's just saying that if you follow the rules now, it'll be easier and safer to bend/break them later. Mad supplied. Mad could see through Kia's blunt ways and knew that she'd be an asset in this hell hole. Matt was right with one thing, they would have to stay around her, for their safety.
Madeline knew that she would be the one who actually explained everything, but she waited patiently for everyone else to give their input. She's saying to keep out of other people's way unless we know them. And the only way we're going to know them is if we introduce ourselves. And she's right, see that boy over there? She had their eyes flick towards the boy. He was pressed back against the wall, and looked trapped. I think if we approach him, he'll bolt. The only way we're going to meet people here is by building trust one person at a time. She sighed softly, It's going to be tedious, but we need that person to introduce us to those who trust them. She gave a small smile, almost encouragingly. We need to listen to her, I have a feeling she'll be the one to ask when we need advice. She's going to get us through these few months.
Mattie believed just like everyone that staying with and befriending Kia would be a good idea. Mattie nodded to the sitting girl, and sat beside her. "Yes," she responded, "I think I do." She curled up in her chair, automatically trying to get comfortable. "What else do I need to be careful of?" She was bad at conversations with other people. But she listened to Madeline, she needed to get information. To be careful.

Hector heard a second person. He stiffened up even more. If even more people showed up near him, he wouldn't be in the right place to be able to move. Hector could already tell that the other girl had multiple personalities by the way she had talk to the nurse.

"Well you'll soon figure out this place is like living in a barbie mansion full of hobos. There are people you hear about but never see and people you see but don't hear about. The nurses are the tipical smiley smiley kind. Some are cool, and some are just waiting for the first chance to tackle and sedate us." She laughed a little at the thought while she ran her fingers through her hair. Kia was a different looking person. She had long black hair that had no particular place on her head, it liked to move around and just chill out wherever. As far as her expressions went they were usually spacey, but her eyes gave a sharp focused look. Yet this is where it all began, her eyes. Her eyes were a piercing green, the green that could make someone look down in a glare contest. She studied the new girl's movements and smiled, "Comfort isn't a specialty here, but it's easy to get used to. Where'd ya come from anyways?" She tilted her head slightly glancing at Hector wondering if he was ready to meet Mattie.

Mattie had glanced towards the other boy, trying to see if he was nice. Seeing his panic at her existance, she quickly drew her eyes away looking back at Kia. She couldn't help but smile at her descriptions. Kia was definitely the kind of her who'd be honest no matter what. That was the type of person Mattie would want as a friend. Especially in this situation.
Matt unashamedly stared as he watched the light catch the dark color of her hair. He loved her eyes, those were the type of eyes he could stare into for hours at a time. It didn't take him long to get lost in the emerald green of her eyes.
Madeline was the one who actually answered the question, as Mattie's light blue eyes took on a purple tinge. "Not far from here, less than an hour. In Flarington Heights. And you?" She was trying to pick up as much information as possible, which she would process later, probably while Mattie is sleeping later on. She could tell that the boy against the wall as traumatized. And that he would not trust anyone. She had already decided that it would be best to leave him alone, and try to find other people to help them.
Mad liked her wit. She could tell that Kia wasn't exaggerating, but they way she described how it was going to be to live here, even Mad couldn't help to smile. She could relate to the girl.

Kia pulled her knees up to her chin and grinned, "Thats a nice place I hear. Well I come from the Kellington Lane streets. It's alright over there once you get used to the people." Shrugging she rested her head on her knees and sighed, "Your eyes are very interesting. Everytime some other opinion pops up your eye color changes slightly. It's super rad." She was, of coarse, well aware that no one really said rad for years but she liked the word. "How long do you have till you get out?"

Mattie blushed a little, surprised that they did even when the others didn't take control. She had been told about Mad's red eyes after she'd stopped the boy from attacking her, but no one else's. She wondered what everyone's eye colors were. She was determined to check as soon as she could find a mirror.
Matt cheered at her use of 'rad.' He had been a Mutant Ninja Turtles fan his entire life. He had made Mattie watch every episode, when they were kids. To him, the word 'rad' was proof. That she was a MNT fan, since they created it, and that they were meant to be together. He tried to lean forward to kiss this magical woman, but Madeline took control to save everyone the embarrassment, their eyes flickering from green to purple before she settled in.
Speaking calmly over the loud cheers and various television clips, Madeline answered the question, "A few more months, she turns eighteen in April, and as long as we don't do anything illegal, we cannot be forced in here again." She was going to continue, but Mad interrupted her
"The only reason she just us in here, is to keep us away from the neighborhood," Mad had a great distaste for Mattie's mother. "Can't have a crazy kid ruining their perfect suburban lifestyle. Of course, this means that they'll have to have another kid to replace us." She laughed, her red eyes sparkling, "Mattie having the three of us is worse than being gay."

Kia smiled at each of the personalities, "Oh of coarse! I mean we can't have little kids ruining our tea parties. The thought of it just boggles my mind to the extremeties of our work load of getting nails done to hair combed. I mean the importance downright overpowers that of common sense!" She shook her head and smiled, "I mean, the community has got me in here so I can be sane yet they run around judging us with their heads cut off like a chicken. Clearly when there's no such thing as normal what exactly is insane?"

Mad laughed, feeling the unfamiliar emotion of companionship from someone other than her mind-mates. She flashed the girl a grin, and replied, "You forgot to add, the all important, Massages. They take up the most time." She said it in a teasing tone, which sounded a little more flirtatious because of Matt.
Matt, who's usually quiet, and doesn't fight, pushed his way to the top of his mind, "Aw baby, I understand, we're both much more sane than the other people we've met." He dared to touch her hand, patting it gently, "How long hav-"
Horrified, Mattie regained control. "Oh my god, you have to excuse Matt, I have no idea why he's acting like this!" Matt, you're stuck in a girl's body. You can't go around acting like that! She looked really apologetic, "I'll try to make sure he doesn't come out again, and I'm sorry if he offended you."
Matt frowned severely, Offend? Jeez, I was just comforting her, don't make it sound like I took advantage of her. Besides, it wasn't like Kia could read his part of the mind like everyone else could. So why could she be offended? He didn't say any of his thoughts.
Mad mentally slapped Matt hard in the back of his head. You fool, she's never even met you, so stop flirting with her! She shook her head, truly pissed. If Matt screwed this up, they weren't going to keep Kia as a friend. And Mad really liked her, more than she expected. She believed she would enjoy running around with her head cut off like a chicken with Kia. It'd be quite entertaining.
Madeline shook her head slightly, almost disgusted with their actions, softly, she came out, asking quietly enough to keep her from being embarrassed. "How much longer do you have to stay in here"

((I just wanted to explain how I imagine Mattie's mind. It's just like an open room. And each of the personalities are literally in the room. It's decorated, with each personalities' touch. For Mad there are series of weapons on the walls. It is lined with bookcases full of copies of books Mattie has read, for Madeline. Matt has a television with copies of his memories of various television shows (especially TMNT) and video games. Mattie has a soft couch in the center of the room, where she hangs out. She'll usually convince someone to come and talk to her, but she'll also have Madeline take over when she's tired.
When I say 'take over' it's more like, the personalities can't control the body or speak unless they take over, which usually happens with Mattie's permission. Also, though I'm not sure if it'll be relevant, but their memories are in filing cabinets in the back of her mind. So that they're easily found later on.))

Kia jumped at the unexpected touch and watched quietly as different personalities flickered past then settled. "Well, ya know....I don't know that all went by so fast! I guess to be clear it's really hard to offend me. The way you talk it seems theres.....just one male?" she laughed a little then shrugged rolling her eyes, "I have been here....I'm not sure I lost my sense of time a while ago. I don't even remember the day i was admitted. It was rushed. I was drugged like crazy, and it was pretty surprising I wasn't dead including the cut marks....I guess its until they say I'm clear."

Hector put his feet down from the chair. He really didn't intend to talk to them unless they asked him something. Hector was more in a position to suddenly jump up and run back to his room that to talk to people.
