Devi bowed her head away from the man. Just another person she'd managed to drive away, then. She reached down, running her fingers over Sutien's head. Well, so be it then. "Let him go walking about alone." She murmured to Sutien, not loud enough to be heard by him. "With any luck, he'll end up face to face with a gargoyle."

Sutien licked her human's hand. By the look on her human's face, they were going to go home. Good. She would have liked to play with the fuzzy thing more, but she was getting tired and it was a long way home. Sutien looked after the fuzzy thing again, just in time to see a big red gargoyle step out from behind a tree. She yipped happily at the newcomer.

Devi looked up at her pup's greeting, looking over to the man. To see a gargoyle. And she'd thought the night couldn't get any worse. A gargoyle that the man seemed to know, even. Devi turned slowly, facing them now. Her hand was locked on her knife. Definately needed a bigger weapon. But as long as the gargoyle was over there giving the man... flowers? Devi blinked. The gargoyle was giving the man flowers?
