A new fear was rising in him, his heart pounded painfully in his chest as his blood rushed. I have to get out of here. Eimhin thought as he kept backing away from his black maned cousin. Everything he'd just said was insulting, but the anger that brought was nothing compared to the terror that increased when he bumped up against the boulder. "No, get away." As much as he wanted to shout it at him his words were meek sounding, almost a whisper.

"What was that dear cousin? I'm afraid I didn't hear you. Your more like a female than I would've thought, look at you cowering in that corner with your back away from me." A few more steps and Damian would be able to take full advantage of his cousin.

"I am not a lioness!" Eimhin found himself able to shout. "Get away from me you psychopath! What do you think you're doing?!" The smaller male attempted to dart passed his cousin, hoping that there was enough space left between them for him to pull off such an act because flying was out of the question; not enough space for him to spread his wings.

With a growl the orange male lashed out with a paw, claws extended and catching his cousin in the jaw before giving chase. It wasn't a very long one, at all, since all he had to do was take a couple long strides and catch him again on his haunches with another swipe, knocking him off balance before he overtook him. "I'm going to prove that my side of the family is better than yours, and that I'm the better cousin. You can't save yourself, and no one's around to hear you scream. You can try if you want though, your sister isn't going to come to the rescue."
----------------------------
Damian touched his forehead, the bleeding had stopped some time ago but he'd forgotten about it until now. Luckily that was the most damage he'd taken, the small scratches would heal fast and wouldn't leave any scars. How he would explain the gash in his forehead though he didn't yet know, no one could find out about this. It was almost a hollow victory. "See you at the next family reunion cousin." Damian said maliciously, not caring that he might've ruined his younger cousin's life in more ways than one as he stalked off, taking the boar with him and acting as if nothing had happened, leaving his younger cousin on the ground with more bruises and scratches than before.

His cousin was right, no matter how loudly he cried for help no one came to his aid. Eventually his cries got quieter and were replaced with quiet sobbing. As if he didn't hate his cousin before, he had an even deeper hatred for him now and also a new fear.
It seemed like about half an hour before Eimhin picked himself up off the ground, the fur on his face wet from crying at the humiliation and shame. Never before had he felt so dirty. He stood shakily, looking himself over and seeing all the deep scratches that would probably leave scars along his body, the bruises he woudn't be able to see be he could sure as hell feel them.

The pink lioness had been stalking around the isle looking for a meal and a place to lay down for the night since she'd been travelling all day when she heard what she thought was a familiar voice shouting. She couldn't understand what they were saying so she had ignored it for the most part.
When she came upon a familiar scent and even more familiar lion she wished she'd been more urgent. "Eimhin?" Lamia started, walking closer to one of her younger cousins. She had only briefly met him and was surprised when he looked up at her, getting his name right. As cold as she was toward most of her family, and anyone else for that matter, the condition of her cousin was too sad to ignore. "...what happened?"

A familiar voice reached him and he looked up, seeing a familiar pink lioness with a blue scarf and hearts dangling off the ends. This was another cousin, but one he met only once before maybe and only for a short period of time. What was her name? "Lamia?" His voice was still a bit shakey and he tried to steady himself. If she came to help she was too late.
Composing himself wasn't easy. "What are you doing here?"

"Was that you shouting earlier?" Lamia asked, looking at how bedraggled he seemed. Something had happened, there was the scent of another lion around. It was familiar too, much more familiar than Eimhin's scent.
The pink lioness padded forward, sniffing one of her youngest cousins. "Did you get into a fight with Damian?" There were a few lions Lamia didn't care for and even fewer she despised. Damian was one she never liked, even when he was a cub. Maybe it was because it was his birth that tore her family apart? Then again that didn't matter, she despised the father her mother had left anyways. Not long after Damian and Lorna were born did she go off on her own, leaving her family behind; they all had problems.
"Why were you crying? Did he win?"

The male took in a deep breath before replying, it was all so incredibly wrong. "Yes, that was me, I got into a fight with Damian, and he...he won." Eimhin looked at the ground, hoping his cousin wouldn't ask why he was crying a second time. Even though it made him seem weak if she thought he had been crying solely because Damian had beaten him, that was better than the truth.

Lamia's eyes narrowed as she looked at Eimhin, how he avoided both her question and her gaze. Something else had happened, but she didn't know what. He didn't seem to want to tell her what it was though, so she'd leave it at that. She gave a heavy sigh and looked around; she knew this area. "Come on, there's a cave not far from here. Let's patch you up and settle down for the night."
She didn't know why she was being so kind to him, she normally didn't speak this much to anyone. Nor did she feel like she had to take responsibility for anyone. That was before she had met Solaris though. Or maybe it was because Damian was the one who did it. Whatever the reason, both lion and lioness went to the cave to recover and sleep safely for the night.
