Vox wondered if this thing before him would even recognize him once he grew. While the humans around him seemed to stay the same with each passing day Vox was getting larger and as Sloop had said 'prettier like a pony'. Rapid and dramatic change didn't seem too out of league, so not knowing who was who also didn't seem impossible.
