I've treid nair...it ate my flesh. It grew back but still. it was gross looking.

That's because the active ingredient in Nair is lye. Adding lye to pure water and fat makes soap, but working with lye can really burn you if you're not careful. Nair actually melts the hair!
LYE!? My dad uses that in Biodiesel! (he makes it out of recylcled vegetable oil)

And MELTS hair!? Gross! I'm glad I switched back to the good old razor. I'd rather have a few nicks and cuts as to lye on my flesh! eek

How totally cool that your dad makes biodiesel!! He should have glycerine as the final waste product, which is good for your skin. There's definitely a market for that, when it's cleaned----like adding to soaps and lotions. There are lots of uses for glycerine. And you need the lye to get the glycerine, so lye isn't all bad.
