Chaos winced at the Focus Punch and leaped away once more. He trotted up on the merry-go-round and concentrated once more. He felt his attack rise and glared at Nookies once more.

At last! Chaos leaped into the air and landed heavily on top of Nookies. He slashed once with his sharp black claws before bounding away. His blood was pumping; finally he could really fight! Chaos growled and crouched. He would win. This was his fight.

Chaos braced himself against the attack. He growled and strained against his body. He couldn't move.
Renekai could do nothing but stand and watch. She would have shouted more encouragement, but it would probably have annoyed Chaos. They just needed some luck.

Chaos leaped free and lashed out with tooth and nail. He desperately wanted to hurt that teddiursa. He hated it when his enemies froze or paralyzed him. He couldn't even fight back then; he had no choice but to watch... But he couldn't lose, no matter how tired he was!
