Julia smiled and held up her cards so that he could see the backs of them. She fanned them out nicely and wondered which one he would choose. She grinned again, because from the looks of it, she didn't have the ace of spades. That could all change of course, she knew.
((It can be hiding behind another card if she does in fact have it. XD I just didn't know so I put that.))
Suli grinned when he thought he was ready and then said, "Okay! You better get ready to run!"

Tabor looked at the cards after he set down his doubles. He randomly picked a card, Seven of Spades, then set it down with his own 7 of clubs. Sevens were out.
"Simple as that," he said with a smile.
Eiriol laughed then nodded, getting set.
"Go go go!" he yelled, dashing off.

((I'm kinda confused x.x; They set down their pairs...and then that means they are out of play? Well I'll do my best...))
Julia looked at the cards he had set down and then looked at her own hand. She had some pairs and she set them down. She then picked a random card from Tabor's hand, the 3 of clovers. She put it down with the three of spades. "Like that?" she asked.
Suli laughed and took off after his bother. They were so energetic, just like kittens. He ran fast again, trying to find a good moment to make a leap at his brother and catch him.

“Yes yes very good,” Tay replied with a smile, “That’s just how the game goes.” Tay picked the 3 of diamonds from Julia’s hand, setting the pair aside with a nod. “It’s an easy little game as far as the rules go. It can get complicated if you have a lot of players though, finding the right cards and all.”
Eiri kept going, trying to keep just so far ahead of his brother so that he wouldn’t be caught. Was it working? No. Suli was gaining slowly. But such is luck.

Julia smiled, getting the hang of the game. It was simple enough. She did imagine it would be harder with more people though. She didn't have any more pairs, so her only choice was to take a card from Tabor. Most likely she would find a pair. She made a face when the card she drew was the Ace of Spades. She sighed, "Your turn then."
Suli realized that he was gaining on Eiri. He kept running, though he was getting tired.

Tabor couldn't help but smile upon watching his mate's face as she took the Ace of spades from him. She lacked a poker face, which to him, was cute. Drawing a card from her he happily placed down a pair of black fours.
Eiri panted as he gently slowed, the fatigue getting to him. Tag was a strenuous game, and the strain was becoming a little much for him to handle.

Julia glared at Tabor playfully; she wasn't really mad at him. It was her turn now so she went to draw a card. Her paw hovered over his cards as she tried to decide which one to take. She was happy to have a pair this time, and lay down the black 10s.
Suli was glad to see his brother slowing down, as he was feeling he needed to too. He caught his brother, tagged him, and then fell down beside him panting.

Tabor tried to regain himself and stop smiling, but it wasn't working too well. Julia was just too cute for that. Even as he drew back the Ace of spades he tried to keep his poker face up. He didn't want it to be too obvious that he just became the loser gain.
Eiriol collapsed as he was tagged, exhausted by the game. Panting, he looked at his brother, who was obviously just as tired as he was.
"Maybe....we need......to play....a-another.....game." he suggested between pants.

Julia noticed that Tabor was having trouble keeping his poker face on. She didn't know the reason of this, but she still thought it was fun watching him try not to smile. She beamed at him and then winked as she took a card from his hand. She removed her gaze from him and looked at the card she had taken. It was the 9 of spades. She grinned as she set down the pair of nines. Julia had no reason to keep a poker face for this game. It was her first time and she was playing against Tabor. She hardly cared what her face looked like.

After a little while of laying on his back and panting he turned his head toward Eiriol. "What do you want to play now?"

Tabor smiled with Julia's smile, glad to see she was having fun. He was glad that he got the privilege of seeing that smile. For a moment he looked over at the boys, also glad to see them having fun, subtle memories of himself and his own brother playing the same games appearing in his head. Getting back to the game, he pulled another card. The Eight of Diamonds. Placing it down with his own red 8 he fanned out the cards for Julia's turn.

Julia noticed Tabor glance over at the boys, and she too glanced over at them. She guessed what Tabor might be thinking - he seemed very happy watching them, and playing cards with her. Everything was so comfortable with them all together, not a care in the world.
"It's nice seeing them play like that." She smiled softly and added, "I bet they will be tired tonight."
Getting back to the game she looked at his cards that he had fanned out for her. Only three cards left. One of the was the ace of spades. Which one to pick? She decided on the far left card, which turned out to be the 10 of hearts. She grinned and put the tens down. Now she only had one card left. Tabor would have to take it and put the fives down, leaving him with the ace of spades.

"Let's go see what mom and dad are doing," he suggested, nodding his head over in their direction.

"Good, if they go to sleep early maybe we can have some time together," he finished with a grin. Tabor sighed as he looked at the last two cards, setting them down before faking a frown in his defeat.
"Well I lose," he said, "Not hard in a game of chance." He smiled then, making light of his misfortune.
Eiriol smiled, agreeing with his brother before heading over himself. He sat then between his parents, being careful not to sit on any of the cards but said nothing.

Julia grinned at his statement and let out a little purr. "You're on," she said, as if it would be another type of game. She had won their game of cards and she was quite pleased with herself. Though winning a game of chance didn't really say much. She watched him lay his cards down and then peeked up at him with an encouraging, but playful smile. "Maybe you'll be more lucky tonight."
Just then Suli and Eiri came over to join them, Eiri taking the spot right between them, and Suli sitting beside his mother. Julia nuzzled them both affectionately and asked them, "Did you boys have fun?"
Suli nodded and nudged her back tiredly. "Yes, we played tag."
"I saw. You both run so fast!"
Suli grinned from the compliment. "What have you guys been doing?" he asked.
"Playing Old Maid. I'm sure your father would love to teach you boys. Then we could all play."

Tabor smiled back at Julia's little statements before collecting the cards. He was glad for how....supportive she was. When Eiri arrived he mussed the fur on his head, happy that he had such cute boys.
Eiriol fixed his fur before his mom nuzzled him, nuzzling her back with a small purr. "Lots of fun!" he said happily with her question. Then there was the prospect of playing cards. Eiri had always watched his father play with his cards, and had grown to like them, even if he didn't know how to play a lot of the games.
"That'd be so cool!"
Tabor smiled at the idea of teaching his sons to play cards.
"It's always a bit more challenging with more people. Makes it twice as fun!"

((I couldn't remember whether they were at home or not so...I just made something up that they were out somewhere. Hope that's okay. o.o ))
Julia knew it would be more fun with them all playing.
"Yeah, then we wont know who has what cards. Maybe we can all play tomorrow? It's getting a bit late now. What do you boys think about that?"
Suli smiled and waved his tail a little, "Yeah! Can we come back here tomorrow too to play?" he asked.
Julia looked at Tabor to see what he thought about it. "I'm fine with it if Tabor is. It's nice here." She smiled and looked down at Eiri. "Your vote counts too Eiri, what do you think? Come back here tomorrow and play cards?"
