Casia grinned. The sphinx girl's stereotypes didn't sound that bad at all, she thought wryly.
Considering the suggestion, Casia's eyes lit up. "Yeah... Paisley!" It sounded like a groovy type of pattern, and would definitely make her bed a nice place to crash for the night. "Maybe in a nice warm colour." Thoughtfully, she gazed around the store, looking at the goods it had admiringly. "And then if I painted the walls a cool colour it would look twice as comfortable." A smile flickered on her face, and she nodded at Keres. "Thanks! Now I need..." She peered into her bags. "I need a table lamp, need to find the right colour sheets, and I need an alarm clock." After that, maybe she would get posters and some records. Maybe, depending on how guilty she felt about using the credit card.
Curious, and still admiring Keres' good taste, the siren asked "What's your room like, then?"

As she moved down an isle of multiple, sporadic little lamps of various decor and styles -- some with beads, some with feathers or fake fur, some fuzzy -- Keres looked over her shoulder as she lifted a price tag. "Mmm? Oh, haaa," she gave something of an almost sheepish laugh, "my room isn't that awesome. It's just like... black and white themed with some red things here and there. I'm trying to get Anya to let me paint one of the walls and make it more 1920's themed."
She opened her mouth to add more, but then a lamp caught her eye and she almost jumped on top of it, a "AH HA!" ringing from her lips instead. She held up a small lamp that wasn't paisley or brightly colored, but had a thin coating of black and said "THE BEATLES" across the shade. Keres didn't know much about the band, nor much about their music, but she knew the era they were from and thought it would fit well enough.

The siren nodded sympathetically. She knew that the only reason she was getting to redecorate her room was because of Jane's total failure to make her feel comfortable in her new home, redecorating could get expensive. The chick was inept at raising children, and Casia was taking advantage of it in a way that made part of her twinge with guilt but made her sharper thoughts snicker delightedly. "1920's..." she mused. She wasn't good with dates that didn't start with '196'. "That was Prohibition and all, right? You're into that?"
Casia startled as the sphinx exclaimed, and for a few painful moments flailed in an acrobatic routine to get her balance back without tipping over a shelf. When she caught herself again, she looked at what had caught Keres's eye and her own brown eyes gleamed. "Far out!" she exclaimed, reaching for the lamp eagerly. "This is..." She paused, searching for the proper word to describe how perfect it was, but it hadn't been invented yet. "Amazing!" She could settle for that. "The Beatles are the grooviest." She beamed, thrilled. "This is going to be my lamp, definitely."
