Fatal nodded, as if in understanding. "I'll make you a deal. Tell me who this person is, and I might actually believe you're not lying," he said to Travis. Still uncomfortably trapped in the ground.

Fatal frowned now, mulling over something in his mind. "Well, I've had a nice nap--it was nice until someone interrupted it--" Fatal said, "so I think I'll not be joining your little 'crusade for the good,' or whatever. I doubt you even know what this Kranza is doing," Fatal scoffed. As Travis would be able to tell, Fatal had no Assist Trophies with him, at the moment. A low hum could be heard farther underground, but this hum soon broke into the sound of crumbling stone.

A large, black snake, like the ones used to fight against Aoi, tunneled through the ground, catching Fatal safely in its jaws and bursting out of the rocky hold, before dropping Fatal to a safe landing on solid ground. The snake was larger than either of the two used to fight Aoi, and its scales were obsidian colored, and likewise fire-resistant.

This snake possessed the ability to spit venom as a projectile.

"Well," Fatal said, moving to stand somewhat behind the protective coils of the snake, "I said I would believe you. And I do--thanks for giving me the name of the next person I'll kill after you."

And then the snake struck.

The snake was on fire, but not harmed in any way by this fire. It's head circled, following and tracking Travis' movements, and it began spitting acidic venom, as cobras do, at Travis.

Fatal chuckled and moved himself constantly, to where the snake was between him and Travis at all times. "You look strong," he said across the cavern, his voice echoing somewhat. "Maybe I'll keep your trophy instead of breaking it."

Of course, being that close, it would be impossible for Travis to prevent the snap of teeth and fangs that followed. For one thing, snakes are able to strike much quicker than humans can blink. Secondly, Travis' forward momentum was bringing him toward the snake. The momentum would keep him from being able to backpedal away safely, even with angelic strength or speed. Since that same angelic strength or speed was what had been propelling him forward, to the snake.

Venom squirted everywhere, and the snake went blind in one eye. But it had no intention of dying.

Fatal mentally snickered, as he stepped backward, closer to the exit of the caverns. He mentally went over his list of acquired trophies... each one was available for use. Nys' Revival of Valor, Rythe's Tempest, Aoi's... whatever she did, and the five other (nondescript) trophies that Fatal already possessed.

"You'll never stop me...." Fatal breathed, almost inaudibly, his dark, sadistic smile being the last thing to walk one more step backwards, to be covered by the shadow of the blazing flames....

The snake audibly hissed as it projected venom straight at Travis' back. Fatal grinned again. "Indeed, step into the shadows, my friend..."

This was becoming tiresome. Fatal only had one more summoning in him for a while; his nap had simply not given him enough time to recuperate beyond that. But oh, what a summon it was.

Fatal laughed as the ground rumbled once again. "Final Smash..." he whispered. Dread Naught Leviathan." Out of the ground in front of Fatal pierced something as long and thick as the snake....

It was a giant, armored stinger of an even larger scorpion. This stinger projected venom as well, a painful, stunning venom that rendered the victim immobile and paralyzed, but not mortally wounded. This stinger, if it missed Travis, would continue upward, and Travis would simply slam into the impregnable armor of the tail. Armor impregnable to just about anything.

In truth, the space of the cavern was too small for Fatal's newest creature to fit into it--at all. But it could still attack, because it burrowed through the ground... like a nightmare.
