"My acting may not be to your liking, but yet you still came, did you not?" she said waving a hand as if she knew all along that fact. "I could have walked straight up to you and given you the card, but that would have been very little fun... and much more obvious to those of the town that were around you. It does not take much to sway the minds of unwary men," she laughed.

"But know the woman that looks much like your partner here? Not well, no. I have met her on more than one occasion. Been more than a year since the last when she brought in an egg she had questions about. I hadn't felt it the previous time she'd come to visit so something must have changed so it could have been a presence or feeling from the egg, but that girl had death written all over her."

"Madam Isley, officially," she nodded toward Roman. "For business, 'Isley' works fine though."

When Sondra sat on the floor, Isley motioned a hand toward a cushioned chair toward the back of the room. "While I understand that it isn't needed, might I offer a chair for you, m'lady?" the woman offered before turning back to Roman.

"Did you happen to know she was a dragon hunter? That was what made the egg all the more unusual when she brought it in, being a dragon egg and all. Ghostly like an image on water and just as solid while other times it was as hard as the stone of the foundation below your feet. Seeing as you seem to know nothing about it, I take it she did not have the egg or any sort of dragon babe with her in tow?"

Isley nodded to Raymon and gave a small curtsy toward the woman in the chair as she was introduced.

"If not vampire, then what might you be as you are not human?" she asked of Sondra, looking over at her with a curious look again.

"As I said, it was not something I had expected as well. She either must have found someone to take it or dumped it somewhere I suppose. If she did not have the egg with her though, I wonder what brought the feeling of death about her then..."

Isley turned and walked toward a cabinet, pulling out a small wooden box and setting it down on a nearby table lit in candle light.

"Something tells me that had I encountered one, I probably would have known right away," Isley smiled as she said as she set aside the now blank card and opened the box, pulling out a something wrapped in a purple cloth and setting it in the center of the table where she began to unwrap it.

"And no, I don't draw upon certain forces as far as I can tell. I just read what the tools tell me and what auras reveal," she answered, seemingly busying herself with what looked to be a deck of cards underneath the cloth that was now laid flat against the table. "I'm only in my forties, young man. The last I saw of your kind -or anything similar- was a blond gentleman who had the appearance of being in his late 20s and had been passing through here about five years ago."

She picked up the cards from the table and began to shuffle them.

"And an unpleasant night is not what I intend, though the cards sometimes say otherwise," Isley answered. "It does no good to speak of your kind in public. It would destroy my credibility now wouldn't it with humans and non-humans alike? Do you think the vampires are the only ones I see in the after hours? What wishes to remain a secret stays a secret." She continued shuffling as she looked up at Sondra.

"That card shows the holder the one picture that might bring them to seek me out," she said with a grin, not only upon her lips but in her eyes as well. "That's why the picture tends to disappear quickly once it's back in my hands though the image always disappears after an hour or so. There as been the occasional time that the person seems to just keep the card, but what can I do about that now?"

"As soon as she stepped through the doorway with the egg. That is why I thought it might have been the dragon egg possibly, but I was fairly certain it was just her presence that had the taint of it, even when she set the egg down for me to take a look at it," she said, taking a seat behind the table and flipping over three cards from the deck, setting them all in a line as she looked them over.

"Trouble was, it was difficult to tell if it meant the death was hers or if she was tied to someone else's death to come."

So she hadn't been the only one to sense something was unusual. Interesting.

"So you think it was... or is tied to her own death? Not being the cause of someone else's then?" Her eyes were still on the cards* on the table, a frown crossing her features.

"Did she go off on her own by chance? Was there an argument or something that split her away from you two?" she said as she continued to ask questions.

Isley flipped another three cards which she placed beneath the first row.

"Something unexpected happened when she went off on her own... sometime after she left you and it's brought on a problem that she's going to confront but it doesn't look like it's going to go down quietly... whatever it is that she's facing in the near future."

She tapped a finger on the middle card she had just placed down staring at it like she was trying to see through a cloud.

"I don't know what this card means though. It's suppose to mean that there was a strong masculine influence involved. It's position here means it had something to do with the break up. Other than that, I can't really tell you anything more."
